Things I liked:

The screw-top tins. Come on, JSB, AA and FX, get with the program.

Things I would have changed:

Way bigger than advertised.

What others should know:

This is the third time I put other pellets into my cart and they turn into FTTs without me noticing. 8 or 9 years ago that wouldn't have been a problem, but currently all Field Target Trophy pellets in .177 have a head size of 4.54. No matter what head size is specified or marked on the tin, they are 4.54 (at least in the 3 tins I have purchased that are marked 4.51mm), which is way too big for any guns I currently shoot. If I ever decide to cast my own slugs, I guess I have 1,500 unusable pellets to melt down. So always double check your cart before paying, and don't expect FTT pellets to be any head size other than 4.54mm.

    Things I liked:

I've been shooting these .177 H&N FTT's (4.50 head size) in my HW35E & HW97K for years. Always consistent and very accurate. I buy large lots to get free shipping and unfortunately some tins in my last order had many very loose ones (that simply fell out of the breech upon closing). So I bought an H&N FTT / Barracuda sample kit and was surprised that the 4.51 head size FTT's perform best in both Weihrauches. The 4.52 head size ones were not so good and ditto for the Barracudas. So I'm going to order 4.51's and hope the undersized malfunctions of 4.50's are a thing of the past.

    Things I would have changed:

I hope H&N tightens up their QC to avoid under sized pellets that are a waste of money, time and patience from getting into distribution .

    What others should know:

H&N 4.50 HS FTT's have been great over the years but I wish I'd tested a variety of head sizes years ago ... these 4.51 HS make me look like I actually know what I'm doing! "Too soon old / Too late smart"

Currently using H&N FTT in 8.64 in 4.51 & 4.52. So far so good. Off to a good start with a new gun.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

    Might try 4.53 next.

So far so good. 4.51 & 4.52 both shooting well in a new HW50s. As long as I do my part, they do theirs.

    Things I would have changed:

Should have done this 10 years ago.

    Things I liked:

I have a Crosman F4 NP that does relatively well shooting the Crosman Premier 7.9 HP's, but I was tired of every 5th shot being a drastic flyer (I noticed that pellets that fit looser in the barrel tended to lose accuracy. I tried a tin of these H&N FTT's and these are definitely the pellet for my air rifle. At 27 yards with zero wind, groups are nickle-sized at most. Pellet-to-pellet consistency out of the tin is outstanding for the most part, and they all seem to fit perfectly in my barrel. These pellets weigh slightly more than the HP's and they have an excellent BC, which is exactly what I was looking for to retain energy downrange between 25 and 50 yards for my needs. I am very happy with their performance.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

Don't be afraid to stock up on multiple tins at the same time to keep consistency between lots.

These H&N Field Target Trophy Pellets fly nice and true! So true, that I happened to be shooting two inch groupings at a distance of 47 feet when using my CX-4 Storm Pellet Rifle. Id also like to add that the majority of these pellets were in fantastic condition on inspection, I only counted around 4 malformed pellets out of a 500count tin. Youre sure getting your bucks worth by purchasing these H&N Field Target Trophy Pellets!

    Things I would have changed:

This is the perfect pellet for hunting iguanas at 50 plus yards with my HW95 and my Diana 34.

    Things I would have changed:

The price is a bit steep but you can't argue with the quality.

    What others should know:

This pellet with the rifles mentioned delivers power to knock down a big 8 to ten pound iguana at 60 yards, dont be fooled by the small size of these .177 compared to a 22 or 25 pellet. My HW95 and D34 are lasers with it.

    Things I liked:

I ordered these pellets to give them a try and found that they work extremely well in a Winchester 1000x as well as a Benjamin 397. I am a person that sorts pellets by weight and I found these to vary in weight from 8.55 grains to 8.65 grains straight from the tin. I feel that these are some of the most consistent pellets by weight that I have found. 1/10th of a grain is going to give me the performance that I am looking for. I have found other pellets that vary a lot more than that and that is why I sort them. The more they vary the more my pattern expands at distances. These produced sub quarter size groups at the 25 yard distances. I have also noticed that their diameter size is a little larger which seem to grip the riflings better and produce tighter groups. If your gun is sighted in using crosman premier pellets 7.9 grain, these grouped tighter and below and off to the side of the crosmans in all the guns I tried them in. I believe this is due to rotation and weight.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really, I just hope everyone keeps striving to make pellets more consistant.

These pellets are one of two brands most highly recommended for my springer, a Tx200 Mk3.

    Things I would have changed:

There is a ridge running around the edge of the dome that presumably has some purpose, but I find these pellets really hard to load in my particular gun. A fellow at my club however uses them and thinks they are the best for his springer (also a Tx200)....hmmmmm.

    Things I liked:

Clean, and well formed. Great tins.

    Things I would have changed:

Get the head size right! No sense in offering different sizes if they aren't going to be any different than another tin marked a different size. These pellets are overpriced for this kind of quality control.

    What others should know:

I've shot these for years out of my Weihrauch springers with great results. I recently ordered two tins, and when they arrived they both shot terrible. I checked the tin and it said 4,51mm like I ordered, but every pellet in both tins measured 4.54mm or larger. For any airgun with a choked barrel (which is almost all) these will shoot terrible. If you get a bad tin like I did, you will know because the pellets fit the barrel VERY tight. When these pellets are sized correctly, like what it is on the tin, they can't be beat. But here lately, they are worthless.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

These were packaged well from PA, as usual. All of my air rifles tolerate these pellets well. My crosman m4 177 will literally stack and smash pellets together at 10meters Very impressive for my purposes. It is worth trying the different head sizes. Quality ammunition is worth the price.

    Things I liked:

Good quality pellet that shoots very well in my FWB124. Screw-on lid is much easier and more secure to deal with than the usual friction-fit lid on most pellet tins.

    Things I would have changed:

These are more expensive than many completing pellets. I'd love to get 'em cheaper if I could (buy multiple tins and take advantage of PAs get-4-pay-for-3 offer). Still, I'll pay the price for them since they perform well in my guns.

    What others should know:

These are the second most accurate pellet in my FWB124, out of 26 different pellets tried in that gun to date. They did not shoot well in my HW30, ranking will into the lower half of all pellets I've tried (27 in that gun to date). FWIW, they're also tied for most accurate domed pellet in my old RWS Diana model 75 (yes, that's a match rifle intended to shoot wadcutters...).

I thought the JSBs I had were the best pellet I could find for two of my rifles when I noticed I had a tin of these in the bottom of my drawer. Wow! It's interesting that they look just like JSBs (aren't they made by the same folks!), but how they can print in groups half the size of the JSB pellets.

    Things I liked:

These are easy to load, very smooth contact surfaces. They must be consistently produced because they pattern so well on targets, no matter which platform i'm shooting.

    Things I would have changed:

nothing. even the can lid screws on with big easy to find threads, like all good H$N Sports pellets.

    What others should know:

If you are new to airgunning, just bought your first airgun, & you have taken a look at PA's extraordinary selection of pellets, you might be feeling overwhelmed at the choices. You will likely need several different weights, styles & perhaps head sizes to determine which pellet shoots best in your new gun. H&N Field Target Trophy is an excellent place to start.
