The Wildcat MK II pre-charged pneumatic bullpup air rifle from FX Airguns has airgunners around the world again singing the praises of the venerable Swedish manufacturer's high-quality, purpose-built craftsmanship.

FX’s original Wildcat revolutionized the bullpup air rifle when it debuted in 2015. Unlike many other bullpup designs, the Wildcat’s breechblock, cocking lever, barrel and trigger group, among other components, were designed specifically for use in this short-rifle design. Put simply, it’s not just another group of long-gun components set into a bullpup stock.

The Wildcat MK II walnut takes full advantage of the concept behind the bullpup design - a shorter, lighter, ultra-maneuverable rifle that doesn’t sacrifice the benefits of a full-length barrel. This PCP air rifle’s high-end hardware and well-thought-out design elements combine to make this piece highly accurate and comfortable to shoot.

For example, while most bullpup air rifles are built with a cocking mechanism at the rear end of the breech-barrel configuration, the Wildcat MK II walnut’s super-smooth cocking lever sits directly above the trigger group. This allows each round to be loaded into the breech with minimal effort. This means less movement on the shooter’s part and that equals greater accuracy, shot after shot.

The FX Wildcat MK II walnut’s hardware is set into a high-quality, hardwood stock and weighs in under six and a half pounds (in .177 and .22). It furthers the success of its predecessor with even more cutting-edge elements like the FX Smooth Twist X Interchangeable Barrel System. It allows shooters to swap the stock STX barrel liner with one of a variety of liners to maximize the accuracy and performance of specific projectiles. The Wildcat MK II also features an FX-engineered fingerprint-resistant coating on all of its high-grade aluminum components, an exceedingly accurate internal air regulator and fully shrouded barrel. Additionally, extra moderator sections may be added to reduce the Wildcat MK II’s already-quiet report even more.

Its two-stage, adjustable, match-grade trigger has been upgraded from the original Wildcat’s. Its easy-load magazine system employs an open-configuration, rotary magazine held tightly in the breechblock between two spring-loaded ball bearings on either side of the magazine. The .177 and .22 caliber version employs a 500mm-length barrel. The .25 and .30 caliber versions use 700mm barrels.
