Things I liked:Solid construction. Very precise and reliable. Makes very good use of the CO2 cartridge. Things I would have changed:Nothing. What others should know:

It shoots well out of the box and the groups are excellent. I like the simplicity of these as one may expect fewer problems from fewer seals and moving parts. I had to have 3 so I could shoot with my sons. These are a good size for both small and larger hands and arms. Things I would have changed:3x9 scope...3x9 scope...can't see 30 yd holes with 6x scope with my parental eyes like mine. Sell the 2260 or 1760 with steel breech and let us have scope choice because the price difference doesn't add up! What others should know:All my expectations have been met or exceeded.

This gun is not just a 1760 with a steel breach! The Stock is a beautiful rendering of the same style as the Benjamin Series with a raised comb but it's machined to accept the co2 action tube with the rifle trigger assembly. That breech is straight from Crosman's Custom Shop with the front assembly screw in the aft position rather than in the leading edge of the pellet trough. This upgrade allows much smoother loading of pellets without binding that sometimes occurs with some pellet styles. The bolt and bolt handle is from the 2300 S match gun, stainless steel with an extended probe! Sweet! I've thrown over 500 shots through this gun in my 1st week of ownership and the accuracy is astounding. Save that bug buster for something else. I put on a 3x9x40 Center Point scope on mine and got my 1st, (on a squirrel) "one shot one kill" with it at 148 ft. That's 50 yards of reach where I'm able to hold my 1"
standard. I usually wouldn't, but for me to even consider a .177 cal CO2 sporter for sniping a bushy tail at that distance, my confidence in its accuracy has got to be high. When you buy this gun, You will be enthused! Things I would have changed:This gun deserves a better choice of scopes. What others should know:With 7.9 grain Crosmans, I'm getting an average of 644.1 fps for 7.3 ft lbs. of energy taken with muzzle 13 feet away from the starting screen. (I'm not worried about energy while shooting anything closer than that.) If I've got it further; I've got it closer. I'm not sure what that translates to at 50 yards.
The bug buster scope, I'm still getting used to. Windage adjustment turns very hard. The sticker on the elevation turret fell off. Not the kind of craftsmanship I appreciate compared to the rifle. Wasn't able to get it sighted in very well. I may call Pyramid and see what can be done. However I will say that I like the rheostat illumination rather that incremental lighting for the retical.

Good thing it came with a scope. The scope is clear and bright but exhibits a lot of field curvature.

Things I liked:This is a fine shooting rifle, shooting 1/2 in. groups at 20 yards from a bench rest, at 10 meters it will make one hole about 3/8 in. in diameter using crosman domed pellets. Haven't tried any other pellets yet but I don't see how it could get much better than the way it's shooting now right out of the box with no fine tuning

Haven't tried any other pellets yet but I don't see how it could get much better than the way it's shooting now right out of the box with no fine tuning. I have been shooting a 2260 with iron sights and the groups are tight at 10 meters and 20 yards. The newer models (SE's) have grooved recievers that accept standard scope mounts which are much better than the clamp on barrel mounts which tend to rotate a bit on the barrel. The little bug buster scope is perfect for this rifle it's light weight and the high mounts make loading much easier especially with the .177 the mill dot recticle is also a plus with a high mount scope, the dots work out to be about perfect for the 10, 20 and 30 yard difference in height. I highly reccomend it to anyone getting into airguns. Great off the bench or for field targets. Things I would have changed:The trigger is a little stiff and travel is excessive but is easy to get used to after a few shots, the feel is still pretty crisp. What others should know:
