Like power? The Phantom 1000 sends pellets downrange at 1000 feet per second! This spring-pistonA type of airgun powerplant in which the air that propels the projectile is rapidly compressed at the moment of firing by a spring-driven piston. Also called spring-air.
breakbarrelA spring-piston gun that uses the barrel as a lever to cock the piston. Also called a barrel break. Sometimes, erroneously referred to as a 'one-pump' gun; not to be confused with a true single-stroke pneumatic.
rifle is lightweight, so you can easily shoot it for hours without getting weary.
It has a newly styled all-weather synthetic stock with a Monte Carlo buttstockThe rear stock of a gun.
and checkeredA method of carving wood that leaves diamond-shaped protrusions to assist in gripping the gun. Also used for decoration. Sometimes incorrectly called knurling, which is a metal-cutting term that produces roughly the same pattern as checkering.
pistol grip and forearm. The tailored styling makes the gun easy and comfortable to hold and offers natural points to properly balance the gun while shooting. Front and rear fiber optic sights let you acquire targets quicker (11mm dovetails allow for a scope), and the two-stage adjustable trigger (adjustable for length of second-stage pull, not pull weight) ensures further customization to your shooting preference.
This rifle is ideal for plinking and target practice, but you can also take small rodents.

Things I liked:Great rifle, good looking, well balanced, and great price. Feels very comfortable to hold and shoot. Ive had no problems at all with mine.
Things I would have changed:Nothing I can think of.
What others should know:A great choice for a .177 1000fps break barrel rifle.

Things I liked:Power and kick from this gun are both phenomenal and it rips through cans and bottles.
Things I would have changed:Adjustments to the sights are a bit difficult and overall the sights are flimsy made with plastic but you can still easily see the bright green aimer. Once you get them dialed in you should be fine.
What others should know:Be careful with what you use to stop this gun. I had a half inch board behind cans and bottles and when i was through I looked at the BACK of the board and there where pellets and shattered shards of the board everywhere.

Things I liked:I am comparing many springers from $89 to $160 and the crossman phantom and quest are a close second to the mendoza rm-200 at $109 and the avenger 1100 at $149. (f you can afford the avenger 1100, it is worth it by far). The weight for power ratio is good. The accuracy is ok with the right pellets, (beeman work good, RWS are best), and after about 500 rounds of break in. After the first few shots when the rifle was clearing out the shipping oils, it got fairly quiet, just fine for indoor shooting. I got the quest also and for some reason the quality control was better, and I like the wood stock better.
Things I would have changed:Sight are crap. And don't get the combo with the cheap scope. File the barrel lock, my phantom and quest both were very hard to open the first times because of rough edges on the lock, after about 100 shots it wore in, but those were very hard cockings. I really don't like the trigger compared with the mendoza, it has too long of pull and the adjustment really does not work. You get use to it, but after shooting a mendoza you go crazy pulling the trigger and waiting for the gun to fire.
What others should know:There is not an auto safety so be careful. At $89 it is the best so far that I have found, but I would buy the wood stock quest instead, and get at least a leapers 3-9x32 at $44 or better still the centerpoint 3-9x40 at $49 without the package, (reg. $69).

Things I liked:The guns shoots great and the trigger is exactly like I wanted it. Very crisp and smooth. I feel like I got a good deal for my money.
Things I would have changed:The sights are crap! Very cheap and the ones on my gun were twisted the right.
What others should know:The gun is a pretty good deal. Just know what you are getting with the sights. Put a good scope on this gun and it rocks.

Things I liked:accuracy, i could eventually hit a coke can at 25-100 yds, no scope, with correct adjustments, (i'll tell you what, it is fun watching a coke can at 100 yds drop), smooth fire
Things I would have changed:- better parts, one of my internal parts broke (gun still worked fine though) but the spring inside only last for so many shots
What others should know:- do not get the crosman 4x32 or winchester 4x32 with this gun becuase it does not shoot accurately at all with them

Things I liked:I liked the first 6 shots. The seventh shot sounded like a Red Ryder BB gun.
Things I would have changed:I would change this website to say that this Crosman Air gun is made in China because I was led to believe it was made in U.S.A. and when I got the gun home it read made in CHINA!!!
What others should know:I decided to try the gun out anyway. I am not sure what went wrong with the rifle but it lost power and sounded like a single pump Red Ryder gun that was worn out.

Things I liked:The airgun is very powerful and great for hunting purposes. The gun is extremely accurate shooting in the same spots very often. I reccomend to buy a good scope with atleast 4x magnifiction.
Things I would have changed:I would change the trigger so you can actually adjust it because the screw by the trigger does nothing.
The stock has nice shape but would look much nicer in wood
What others should know:Make sure if you shoot at targets to use thick plywood or put something behind the plywood so it doesnt go through. First time a shot it, it went through 3/8 inch playwood and through my drywall.
Also loud not very good for indoor use. Overall a great air rifle!

Things I liked:This gun is light, easy to use, and powerful. Thats what any shooter is really looking for. With it's 11mm dovetail rail to mount your favorite scope it makes for good small game hunting.
Things I would have changed:This gun can be very accurate. However, it's accuracy is inconsistent. It will fire a few rounds perfectly, then a few bizarre ones. this gun made it extremely difficult for me to sight in my scope. and once i did get it sighted in, the rail would sometimes fail and the scope would move around. i would make this gun more accurate, and a little more durable.
What others should know:if you just plan to use this gun for open sight shooting, it will work pretty well. Hollow Points shoot the best with this gun so buy a box of those too.

Things I liked:this gun is just as good as those expensive break barrels but costs less.the accuracy is extremely good after u adjust the sights.this gun is very user friendly, one because it is for right and left handed shooters.I am left handed so that heips and the grip of the gun is very comfortable.I am not rich but i could afford this gun and feel that I got a gun that is well worth 90 dollars! If you dont want to break the bank this is the gun for you.
Things I would have changed:I wish the sights were tougher and not just made of plastic, but it works very well.
What others should know:You can not use daisy pellets, they are too small for the barrel and can fall out.

Things I liked:Potential for good accuracy and power, good balance and weight, reasonable cocking effort
Things I would have changed:Better QC on the barrel lockup, the flimsy rear sight, trigger
What others should know:Along with the Quest, this is potentially one of the best buys out there. But you may have to play with it a bit... the accuracy on mine went from poor to quite good after tightening up the pivot bolt and staking it in place. On a brand new gun, a good barrel cleaning would probably help as well. The power on mine is a bit low at 870's with Crosman Premiers, but I have a Quest that does 920-930 with the same pellet (after installing a new spring and seal from Crosman).
The rifle is based on the Gamo breakbarrel series (although the firing cycle seems to be more civilized than the typical Gamo). The trigger mechanism design is virtually identical, although the stamping and machining don't seem to be as good. Sometimes it is effectively feels like a single-stage trigger.
The rear sight is quite poor, almost pathetic. The FO inserts are very dull, and the flimsy plastic assembly doesn't really leave the shooter with decent detents for the adjustment knobs (especially the windage).
Crosman customer service is quite good, and unlike many manufacturers they offer an excellent selection of service parts at very reasonable prices.

Things I liked:A hard-hitting airgun with great accuracy!
Things I would have changed:The trigger-pull is a little stiffer than I like.
What others should know:This is my first time using a break-barrel rifle, until now I've always used pump-guns, I don't think I'll ever go back. Once sighted-in, its power and accuracy is impressive!

Things I liked:its not to heavy and not to light. its accuracy is consistant and it looks nice.
Things I would have changed:nothing
What others should know:you need to fire at least 500+ pellets through this gun before it becomes accurate.
