Things I liked:almost everything about this gun is good, its powerful and shoots pretty far for a pellet pistol Things I would have changed:a piece of plastic on the saftey broke after only using it a couple of times, but u can just screw the saftey in a bit more so it stays in place What others should know:great pellet

Things I liked:This is my 1st pellet pistol and from what I have learned so far it was the perfect choice and Pyramyd Air is the perfect place to buy in to this great hobby. You get a pretty good sense that you are going to get a good replica of the genuine firearm when the pellet gun version is listed on the manufacturer's website. Yeah, that's

You get a pretty good sense that you are going to get a good replica of the genuine firearm when the pellet gun version is listed on the manufacturer's website. Yeah, that's right Magnum Research advertises the Umarex replica on their website. Hmmm.... let's see, do I want to spend $1500+ for the genuine .50ae, .44, .357, or $139 for the replica .117 pellet gun and save over $1300 (not to mention the cost of live ammo). Well, I chose the pellet gun. It has a very real feel to it, heavy / chunky like a real Desert Eagle. Plastic parts? Yes, but well made plastic parts.
I have only put about 100 rounds through mine so far using inexpensive RWS Superdome loads. It is a VERY accurate shooting pistol. Mostly I have been plinking soda cans and watching them jump, but I did set-up my paper target once and I was putting them in a 1" hole from 10 yards. I shot this pistol once at night . I put the lower rail on and stole my Streamlight TLR-1 off my Mossberg 590 shotgun, a perfect fit! Night shooting was fun (and educational if you are moving towards personal defense with real firearms). It would be so cool if you could get tracer loads for pellet guns! Things I would have changed:Nothing really from a practical perspective. What others should know:I get some bleed-off of CO2 if I store the pistol with a partially used cartridge. I recommend setting up to shoot each time until the CO2 is spent.
Go to Youtube and type in "Desert Eagle" to watch stupid people doing stupid things with live ammunition. Pellet guns are great fun, inexpensive, and a great way for new shooters of all ages to learn how to handle a firearm safely.
Pyramyd videos were very helpful to me.
Have fun, be safe!
Jimmy

Things I liked:This is my second review as I have my eagle almost a year. I like the fit and finish of this gun. The power is there for about 50 shots or so on a single CO2. Accuracy up to about 8 yards is very good and consistent. Things I would have changed:The grip is too big for my hand and I wear a large size workglove. The trigger is too stiff to shoot comfortably. I can't seem to stop gas from hissing out of the bottom screw fitting. It is loud when fired indoors. A smoother trigger and smaller grip would be a big plus in the next version.
What others should know:I loved this gun when I first got it almost a year ago. Now I hardly pick it up anymore. It is still a nice gun and I would recommend it but the oversize grip and heavy trigger make it a chore to shoot sometimes. I also don't like that I have to use a tool to change the gas. If you get one, I recommend you get six extra mags or nine if you can swing it. That way you can keep shooting uninterrupted until the gas runs out.
