Sometimes, erroneously referred to as a 'one-pump' gun; not to be confused with a true single-stroke pneumatic. spring-pistonA type of airgun powerplant in which the air that propels the projectile is rapidly compressed at the moment of firing by a spring-driven piston. Also called spring-air. rifle with a Monte Carlo hardwood stock and checkeringA method of carving wood that leaves diamond-shaped protrusions to assist in gripping the gun. Also used for decoration.
