A long awaited option for many spring powered airsoft enthusiasts, UTG has finally released the MK23 spring powered pistol. This pistol is well put together and offers similar levels of detail as KSC's much more expensive MK23.
Fake silencer does not silence gun.
Velocity: 310~320fps when using 0.12g BBS and 220~240fps with 0.2g BBs
Overall length: 9.5 in (240mm)/14in (365mm) w/fake silencer (silencer does not silence the gun!)

The extra clip comes in handy, and this gun has excellent accuracy. I highly recommend this gun for any beginner, as it has a good clip size, and isn't to heavy. Good price. Has amazingly far range (shot over 8 acres of land before it even started curving down!) Things I would have changed:Nothing. What others should know:If you cock the gun, but it doesn't pull the hammer all the way back, and you cock it again, it will load two BBs at once. But don't worry, it shoots them out fine and doesn't jam.
Don't be fooled if the first 100 or so shots aren't perfectly accurate, it may choose to shoot to the right or up higher (in my experience) while it's being used for it's first time. After that though its perfect!

Serves as either a sidearm or primary weapon for battles. The magazine capacity of 26/27 is excellent. Not once did I need ever the extra magazine it comes with. The mock silencer only adds to the accuracy and good looks of the gun helping with longer-range shots. The MK23 hurts, also, at 317fps using .12 gram bbs. Your friends will have many welts. Things I would have changed:Maybe to make it easier to load... you have to put in each of the 27 rounds manually and while in use you cannot see how many are left. Also, the slide is a bit difficult to cock all the way back at first, but after being used for a while it gets easier. What others should know:Dont let the ad fool you, this is a very big gun; one of the biggest I've seen of any airsoft pistols I'm aware of. It is very accurate, even with .12 gram bb's. *Reminder- please wear protective glasses while playing airsoft... my friend was shot in the eye and nearly went blind.

It has very good range for a spring pistol. The magazine capacity is very good for a spring pistol (26 or 27 BBs). The package comes with two magazines too! The design of the feeding port is very good because you can eject the clip with BBs still in it and none will fall out. Plus, I have had no trouble with BBs falling out when the clip is in a mag holster. Very good Gun in my book. Things I would have changed:The hop-up is a bit severe, but heavier BBs can correct that. What others should know:The gun has a built in hop-up system that cannot be adjusted. .12 BBs curve upwards very sharply after 18 - 20 feet in the air, making it almost impossible to hit your target. .20 BBs curve upwards as well, but it is less severe and you can aim a little lower to hit your target. I would recommend using at least .25 BBs. They fly a little slower, but the hop up keeps them in the air for about 80 - 90 feet on a fairly straight line. I can easily hit a man size target at that distance. I usually play out in the woods and I use a sniper when I'm playing and this is my back up weapon (I use .25 in both guns). I have had no problem hitting targets too close to use my sniper with this gun.

Things I liked:Solid weight and feel. Silencer is well made, screws on properly.
It came with an extra magazine which is great.
It's almost too large for a standard holster, but a large gun holster holds it fine. If you have the silencer on, you need a special holster or a holster with an opening large enough in the bottom for the silencer

Things I would have changed:Ambidextrous magazine release, but no ambidextrous safety. What others should know:Kids might find it difficult to pull the slide back easily, but it's great for an adult.

Things I would have changed:At least without the "silencer", the shots tend to curve up very substantially. If you hold the gun sideways, they curve sideways. This may increase the range, but it also makes it more difficult to aim over moderate to long ranges (40-80 feet). What others should know:The clips are kind of small and you have to load each pellet one by one, but the gun comes with 2 clips holding 27 shots each, so running out mid-battle hasn't been too much of an issue.
It is also impossible to know how many shots you have left unless you count, whereas with all my other guns there is some way of looking at either the clip or the gun and seeing how many shots are left.

Read MoreThings I liked:Extremely inexpensive, great power for money, pretty easy to cock, good accuracy, sights are large and easy to use, and the fake silencer is a nice addition, being made out of metal instead of abs. I also liked how the magazine is metal as well, adding a nice weight to the gun that you won't find in other guns (it also helps to steady your shot), while not off balancing the gun or making it a pain to carry. Also an extremely large magazine for a spring gun. Also, this gun has every single marking knob and lever finger rest wtf-is-that-thing that the real gun has, even if it doesn't do anything. Things I would have changed:It is slightly on the large side, almost as big as the Desert Eagle (it won't fit in my Swiss Arms holster either). It also does curve up a bit (they could fix that by making a kind of simplified hop up system with just 2 settings... one tweaked for .2's and another for .12's, just like the Marui springers have hop-up fixed for .12's., although that would be a bit overkill and it's still a accurate and goes straight after you've had it for a while and emptied the mag about 40 times... it doesn't take that long actually). Also, it's a bit of a hard cock, but nothing some lube can't fix. No other complaints. What others should know:BOTTOM LINE--
The best gun for this price, period. My first gun and STRONGLY reccommended for any beginner or anyone looking for a good reliable spring pistol as a sidearm for a sniper rifle or AEG or anyone just looking for a fun gun to play around with.
--
Note: I am rating this not on the broader spectrum of all guns, but compared to all the other guns in the "Spring Pistol" Category.

The added steel weights to the magazine gives the pistol some heft. Using .20 high density bb's gives the pistol some pretty remarkable accuracy. Also using the heavier bb's the whack is very strong and if hit, the bb can give quite a sharp sting. I personally like shooting with the suppressor attached. It seems to balance well in my hands. Things I would have changed:One thing I definately would recommend to the company to change is the orange plastic threaded barrel end. Beside the fact that it is made of thin plastic, the threads are very fine. The suppressor is aluminum and the fine threads are nicely machined. But, if you don't screw it together super carefully the metal threads can go on crossthreaded and damage the weak plastic threads. That happened to mine the first day I got it. My son removed the suppressor and my wife tried to screw it back on. Thankfully a little careful realignment of the tube and barrel end recut the fine threads back into the plastic end. One last thing I would have changed, is to move the safety towards the rear of the pistol. Right now they are using the slide release as the safety instead of the rearward safety like the one used on a real MK23. My thumb is too short to realease the safety so I end up using my left hand to remove it before firing. What others should know:For one thing the suppressor does not work at all. It is strictly for the looks. One word of caution is when you screw the suppressor onto the pistol, you must make sure that the suppressor's metal threads are lined up excatly with the plastic barrel end. The plastic is very easily crossthreaded. You should be able to tell if the suppressor is going on crooked because it will start to get harder to thread it on after only a couple of threads. If that happens, immediately and carefully remove the suppressor and inspect the plastic barrel end threads. Then carefully try to realign the suppressor and the barrel end until you get it to easily screw on with very little hand pressure.

Things I liked:easy to cock silencer looks awesome very good grip feels like its real sight has white dot Things I would have changed:the green cocking slide silencer What others should know:the reason i said I would change the silencer is that it weighs down the front of the gun a lil' and can throw its accuracy off

What others should know:I'm not sure about anyone else, but mine was pretty inaccurate with .12g softair bbs. But once I used my biodegradable .15g bullets it was very precise. This thing is a real hard-hitter - even if it's a spring gun, it's still great for battles as a side weapon. Don't bother with the silencer, though; I've never used it, and from what I heard you could snap off the plastic tip of the barrel with one wrong move. Regardless, this pistol is perfect for beginning airsoft fans - powerful, accurate, high mag capacity, and inexpensive.

* Great Gun for the Price! Things I would have changed:* Make the suppressor a real inner-barrel extension
* Add a field stripping level What others should know:I have had this gun for almost a month now and have been very impressed with it so far. I haven't used it in a game yet but have put close to 1,000 rounds threw it in my basement.
The furthest I can get away from my target in my basement is 35 feet and at that distance I can chew the middle out of a target with no problem.
It is also impacting the target with a lot of force, so there is plenty of power to go a lot further than 35'.
The silencer is only for looks, and makes the gun a LOT LESS accurate. With the silencer on I was only hitting the target about 40% of the time. With it off, I'm in the middle every time.
This is a larger pistol than most, but is not hard to hold on too.
If you pull the slide back by grabbing at the front or the back of the slide, the pull is pretty easy, but if you grab the middle of the slide it is a hard pull. Once the slide is racked, the trigger pull is very short and light.
This gun performs better and is a better value than any gun that you will pickup at Wal*Mart. There are higher quality guns out there, but this is probably one of the best "Best Bang for Your Buck" guns available.

Things I liked:This is an amazing pistol. It has a very nice range, and is incredably accurate. The slide pulls back rather easily for so much power. Nice safety mechanism. It has a nice feel to it, heavy and doesn't feel like it will break easily. The magazines are great, I dropped one while changing mags and it got a few scratches, but nothing

It has a nice feel to it, heavy and doesn't feel like it will break easily. The magazines are great, I dropped one while changing mags and it got a few scratches, but nothing more. Things I would have changed:The silencer is all metal and the connection between it and the gun is plastic, so it feels like it would rip off, It would be nice if that where metal. It would also be nice to have a speed loader option for the mags, pushing the bbs in one at a time becomes tiresome. What others should know:This is a very nice springer, If your in the market for an affordable gun that shoots extreemly well, this is it. But make sure u pull the slide back all the way or it could jam.

Things I liked:This became my favorite springer the second I shot it. It is powerful, accurate, and has a crisp mechanism. I can reliably hit a beer bottle cap with this gun at about 10 feet. I can reliably hit a beer bottle cap with this gun at about 10 feet. The double-action hammer, tipping barrel, night sights, and realistic take-down are icing on the cake. I've used it in many skirmishes and put hundreds of rounds through it plinking without any problems. Things I would have changed:The included supressor, while nicely constructed, quickly degrades the accuracy of the gun. Since the barrel itself is plastic, the metal silencer feels like it could snap off the tip of the barrel if wrenched with any force. What others should know:I highly recommend this springer
