The pump pushes air very well into the gun. I pre-lubed everything with the grease. With the pump fully extended up .....pushing down It was really gritty at the first inch or two. It has gone away after the initial use. Problem is now the seals are wore on from cleaning whatever was "making" it gritty. My gun takes 3350. the pump Gage seems to just stop at 3000 while the guns own says 3100, 3200, 3300. If I didnt check I would of damaged something. Its not really smoother than a Benjamin pump but this MK4 fills air very very effectively

Check it before its bagged or use better assembly fluids....

Plan on knowing how to re build whatever pump you buy...The pumps are built on SEALS...and they only last so long.

Pump filling your guns is made a lot less of a hassle when you have a high quality pump.

Works well for me. It's the only pump I've tried so far, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Plastic feet on a pump in this price range. Should be at least aluminium to aide heat sink.

So far it's a great pump. However my 140 pound frame has a hard time getting above 4000 psi.

Easier to pump than my "Chinese" pump and more efficient.

Make hand grips softer.

Mine shipped without the Foster female quick disconnect fitting it was suppose to have. I contacted Pyramyd and they sent a replacement free.

This pump works well for me. I had heard some of the other pumps were a real challenge to use.

Great quality. Performs great. Bought this with my first PCP rifle. If you buy this you better be young, fit and with a great set of lungs. This thing will give you a stroke if you pump up to 3000 psi. Very hard to do when you get old like me. I have just bought the Air Venturi Nomad II. Heck of a breeze to use. Invest another $400 and get the Nomad. You wont be sorry. I will sell you my hand pump if you want. But like I said if you dont mind pumping this is the one to get

Didn't realize I needed and additional connector to get this to mate w the rifle.

I wanted a very high quality hand pump that should last a long time and has the capability to be end-user serviced with abundant replacement parts. This is it.

Excellent pump. Well built.

Make sure the pump is properly greased and clean and it will take a lot less effort. A slow up stroke with a quick down stroke while pausing 1 to 2 seconds between worked best for me.

I would like to see a longer hose on the unit.

Using this pump or any hand pump requires a lot of effort. If you have any doubts about your physical abilities to pump one of these pumps when the pressure in your tank starts to get near its maximum, then seriously consider a mechanical pump like the Air Venturi Nomad or Nomad II. Those pumps cost more than double the price of a hand pump, but they are well worth the money.

Very little assembly needed. Seems a well made, sturdy product. I thought the pump was over priced but when I received it I see why. It seems a quality product

Pump seems very well made. I was concerned with the difficulty of charging my new marauder. No problem. Charging from 2000 to 3000 PSI takes about 110 pumps. Including initially filling the hose and matching pressure in the gun. 1 am 6 ft, 200 lbs, and it's not difficult at all to replenish the air. Charging systems are very expensive, I bought the hand pump because it was the least expensive. I have only used the pump a few times so far, so cant speak to the longevity of the pump. But it is easy to use and seems very well made. This is the only pump I've owned so cant compare it to other brands. I bought the Hill pump because Pyramid and other reviews said it the Hill would hold up better than other brands. So far I am very happy with my purchase

Excellent hand pump for PCP air rifles, takes a lot of pump strokes, but will do the job effectively.

It's great to have a product that works as advertised.

Not sure if this can be done, but, would be great to have an input for traditional "shop" air compressor, that can be further compressed by the hand pump to reach High pressures fewer pumps.

Because of the moisture trap, this is the better of the two versions offered, even though it's more expensive.

I bought this pump to replace the Benjamin pump that came with my Benjamin Discovery as a package deal. After rebuilding the Benj. pump three times, and not wanting to spring for a bottle and refilling hassle, I decided the Hill pump was the way to go. I am happy with my decision. I like that the pump came with a dessicant attachment/package, a tube of quality silicone lube and I liked the somewhat longer hose. I am 76 years old and have no problem pumping up to the 2000 psi for the Discovery..

An even longer hose to allow you to stand the gun up when filling would be a good thing. A bit of a price brake would always be appreciated.

In MHO the extra cost for the better quality is a better deal in the long run.

I have a 480 cc tank and it takes 280 pumps to go from 150 bar to 250 bar.

Reported to be the best. After opening the box and immediately seeing a plastic base, I'm not impressed. Have not even taken the pump out of the box. I'm thinking a return is the solution.

A base made of PLASTIC on the a pump costing over $200! A hose with no protective wire wrap anywhere!

Purported to have a 5 year warranty. Statements of easy maintenance and field stripping imply this will be needing the same, and that needed seal replacements are not covered. Moreover no maintenance seals are included and are sold at a high price. If I have to reseal regularly as with a cheap pump, I may as well have a cheap pump.
