    Things I liked:

This pump is easier to pump than the Benjamin, and the location of the gauge is easy to read.

    Things I would have changed:

The handle is lousy. I was fortunate, I found rubber handles that we big enough to fit over the Hills.

    What others should know:

I'm a 68 yr. old kid. I have the Benjamin and Hill pumps to alternate. I'm sure 1 day I will go with a tank set up, but for now I need the work out.

    Things I liked:

This is a great pump. Does it's job of pumping up my BSA R10 MK2 . Do not remember how many pumps but took turns with my cousin with each at it three times.

    Things I would have changed:

Do not see how it could be improved. And can not talk about longevity.

    What others should know:

I am 67 years old and must say a hand pump is NOT the way to go for me. Looking into a carbon fiber tank that can be filled at a scuba or paintball shop. By the time we filled the rifle twice I was ready to go home. I wanted to shoot more but was shacking too much to shoot, (:

    Things I liked:

Easy to assemble (it's mostly done when you get it) Works great to top off my Hatsan AT44-10 QE.

    Things I would have changed:

I think it's a little expensive for an air pump.

    What others should know:

Like I stated above I use this to top off my Hatsan AT44-10QE. I typically only shoot around 20 shots before pumping back up. It only takes a couple minutes. I am 69 years old and not in the best of shape. I have no problem getting my air rifle topped off with this pump.

    Things I liked:

Sturdy. Easy to assemble. Easy to read pressure gauge. Easily re charge a Challenge PCP from bottom of the green to the top in 5 minutes. I'm 72 in good condition for my age. Not breathing hard at the end of the 5 minutes.

    Things I would have changed:

Out of the box, on the upward stroke, it sticks at a couple places. Have added silicone grease to the inner tube a couple times and has made it better. Sometimes it doesn't stick at all - other times it does.

    What others should know:

Remember to close the valve on the pump when charging. Remember to bring the pump handle all the way up when charging.

ALL business. NO bs. NO LEAKBACK. NO minor irritations, like some i could name. EASY to use. pumps--up FAST. WORTH every penny. THANKS, Hill!

    Things I would have changed:

    Bigger?

    What others should know:

    that covers it.

    Things I liked:

The first pump I received -- didn't! But, Pyramid immediately :) sent me a replacement stat, which worked/works well right from the start! Seventy pumps, average, from zero to 170 bar; significantly less challenging to do for this 67-yr-old out-of-shape person than I had anticipated. (It's almost fun!)

    Things I would have changed:

One MAJOR change I'd make is to have the pump feet hinged or readily removable. As a one-piece unit, it is VERY difficult for me to store; the hose sticks out at a 90-degree angle, too, to exacerbate the challenge. I don't believe it would be difficult at all to either have a twist-lock removable fitting for storage base; and, the fitting at pump bottom could also be manufactured with a 90 degree bend. Perhaps Hill thinks all users assemble/disassemble pump for each use; THIS user keeps his all together, with a clear plastic bag draped over it...

    What others should know:

I didn't/don't care for the fill-hoses' end just hanging free -- totally unprotected. I discovered a prescription pill bottle medications had come in is a perfect fit! Of course, I had to drill a hole in bottle's cap same size as hose, and band-saw two cuts to afford using it. Now, I just put fill-adapter's end and in bottle, slide lid on, and a small twist holds it on -- keeping end both dust/dirt free, and protected!

    Things I liked:

Easy to use. Use to fill Marauder .25 to 3000 with no problem.

    Things I would have changed:

Reduce price. Make larger foot pedals my belly strikes handle and forces me to use my arms more than I would like. Some type of mechanism to secure handle when carrying around, preventing handle form raising and collecting dust or dirt when carrying around

    Things I liked:

First pump did not work at all! Wonderful folks at Pyramid, however, immediately shipped me a replacement -- which works like a charm. They even sent a pre-paid Fed Ex return label, so Fed Ex drover to my house and picked up defective pump for return to Pyramid TOTALLY at their expense! Such wonderful customer service is both indeed rare today, but remarkably provided by Pyramid! Re the pump itself? What might one say? Down; up; down; up..(repeat ~100 times).. and there's 170 bar in tank. I'm 67 years old and not in great "shape" at all -- but, it was NOT nearly as much as the challenge I feared when I ordered it. Yes, to me, Pyramid Air + Hill Mk IV = pleasure (what it's all about, eh?)

    Things I would have changed:

From what I've read, a #1 enemy of PCP chargers is dust and air-borne particular matter. I would add -- even as an option -- a m16x15 threaded cap for the Hill Mk IV's hose end, to keep screwed on this fitting when not attached to pneumatic tank. Even made of plastic, it would both protect the brass pump hose threads, as well as greatly minimize chances of a speck or two of harmful dust's getting into pump or air rifle. Also, as another accessory, a carry bag for entire pump unit. geogre

    What others should know:

I was more "OCD" than regular in putting things together/using this replacement pump which, as here above noted, worked perfectly. EXCEPT, the pressure indication on Hill pump slowly dropped. I checked little booklet accompanying pump, and suggested was perhaps hose connections not tight enough. Rather than just torque them more, I mixed a few ounces of water with a few drops of Dawn detergent mixed in it, then applying this mix to all threaded connections. Sure enough -- the connection from hose to DIN adapter bubbled from a wee bit of air escaping. I held adapter with pliers and tightened (14mm wrench) nut a tad more -- from "tight" to "super-tight" -- and bubbling ceased. AND, the gauge on Hill pump holds pressure until bleed screw is loosened.

    Things I liked:

Premium pump. It does get the job done, but needs an adapter.

    Things I would have changed:

Would it be possible to have one with a foot pump instead. I am disabled with 2 rods 9 screws and 5 bone grafs in my lower back, so pumping my Texan up is quite a chore. I can't afford the compressor for it and I would rather not have to pack around a big air tank.

    What others should know:

Be prepared for a work out

    Things I liked:

Sturdy. Gets me back to shooting without having to invest in more equipment.

    Things I would have changed:

I have had some issues with the pump feeling like it's not compressing air all the time.

    What others should know:

This is the first hand pump I've ever purchased, and I would be willing to bet my issue with it feeling like its not compressing all the time is caused by me. That issue aside, this pump has kept me up and going day in and day out so far. If you are worried about the cost I can tell you one thing from my experience dealing with the high pressures involved with hydraulic fracturing and that is when you're dealing with dangerous pressures, quality always costs more.

    Things I liked:

Seems like a quality product, until you make a connection to it.

    Things I would have changed:

When buying the product, type of product should be asked that it is to be used on. Would make life easier for us older folks....to have the correct connections for us done...For the price that was paid.

    What others should know:

Though this is my first PCP I am very knowledgable about all types of firearms. I was disappointed having the threads strip out on both the hose and adapter to fill my Air Force Talon SS tank. While pumping, air started to leak at around 2000 psi. I thought tightening the connection after bleeding the line would be the fix...not so and it did not seem like I cross threaded the connection either. I ordered an after market line and quick disconnector.. All is good now, just disappointed with my first experience with a product that cost so much. Did not even see a replacement hose available for this pump either from this site, just after market.

    Things I liked:

Independence from the guys that can fill a bottle.

    Things I would have changed:

Longer and more flexible hose. A clamp to store the hose up along side the pump.

    What others should know:

Put on your big boy pants. Pumping is fun! I've never let the gun go way down in pressure, so it's pretty simple to bring it up to full PSI. This thing moves some air! The instructions are written for those that know what they are doing. Rookies will have questions. I had a big question mark floating over my head for hours. The instructions are pictures. And not great pics. Something about 3000 psi makes experimenting less than fun. I went slow and careful. Nothing blew up. :) Back to pumping. It's not hard! You have to go slow and deliberate anyways. It's the same effort as using a floor jack on a heavy load. Maybe only a longer duration. It would be less fun in the hot summer, but it seriously isnt difficult. The pump is solid. Heavy. I wish it had a bigger handle and longer hose. But that is being nit picky. I'm not sure I will ever buy a bottle! Maybe for the weight and size factor only. But not because of effort.

    Things I liked:

Seems smooth and no more effort than other pumps I have used.

    Things I would have changed:

It leaked when the pressure reached around 1700 psi. I didn't find this out until I had pumped my arms off several times. When I called I was told, "Oh yeah you aren't the first one to call in with that problem. We got a bad batch of those pumps so just send it back and we will replace it." Well, that's fine but why did they send me a bad one to begin with? I'm a little put out.

    Things I liked:

Only took 48 hrs to get here. Easy instructions and simple assembly. Comes with everything you need to get started. Pyramid sells the kits needed to keep your pump operational. 280$ is a lot for a handpump, but no other pump will keep your equipment free of moisture. And it's competitors don't have a lifetime warranty.Iv'e had an air venturi pump and you should change the name of the bleed valve to spit valve alot of harmful moisture with it and it Also it gets hot very quickly. I think hills pump will do well for me as it tackles those areas of concern I had with the venturi pump.

    What others should know:

You will not be disappointed pay the extra 75$ to protect your investments.

After the initial pump up to 3K and shooting it down to 2K, Its only about 60 pumps to get it back to 3K.

    Things I would have changed:

    Larger footpad and longer hose.

    What others should know:

Does not come with a Foster fitting.

It is very efficient for a hand pump. Seems to be of excellent quality. I used my son's Hill Pump, and I have been very satisfied

    Things I liked:

I've only used it once because I wasn't able to use the gun for 2 weeks. It did fill the cylinder to 190 bar, also agreeing with the guns gauge, but the pumping action just didn't feel right.

    Things I would have changed:

Smooth rubber grips would be more comfortable.

    What others should know:

It DID work, but some of the pump strokes didn't seem to do anything, with the handle popping back up like the air stayed in the hose. Pump was lubed as per instructions. I can't give it a higher rating because I'm just not confident that it will continue to work. I should probably return it but I'm right at my 30 day window (should have tried it as soon as I got it) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

    Things I liked:

Fills my tank reliably, about 675 pumps for my spin-loc tank on a Airforce Condor ss.

    Things I would have changed:

It sometimes fails to push air into the tanks on a few of the down strokes. On the up-stroke it does nothing sometimes. Be certain to drive the pump handle All the way down. Full range of motion action is needed to function properly, not about speed. If you weigh less than 165 pounds you probably won't be able to complete full strokes near the end of filling your tank.
