    Things I liked:

It's a good shooter ready to take hunting out of the box. The first day I had it I shot at some paper to confirm the where it was sighted in at (20 for$20), Once I knew where it was shooting I made a minor adjustment to the scope and went out into the yard to took 2 squirrels. Ummm! Great gun for the money.

    Things I would have changed:

If you read reviews on this gun you'll find out quickly the trigger is not good. Can you make it work? Yes. But if you've shot anything before you'll realize within the first shot that the trigger is really bad. The travel is very long, the breaking point is inconsistent, and the pull weight makes it very difficult to keep on target for shooting such a sensitive air rifle. I mean sensitive by means of, its a springer type gun so bench resting or armorers hold are the only truly accurate shooting positions. With all that said I would buy this gun again and even took a squirrel my first weekend out with it at 50yards 65 ft up in an tree! So it will work.

    What others should know:

I love this gun, and if you decide to get one order a new trigger from CharlieDaTuna. Just know that's something you'll need to do if you want to be very accurate. For my face the scope is mounted high and I'll be adding a cheek riser to again help improve my consistentcy. Oh, and do your research to find the best shooting pellets for your gun. The free pellets I got with my purchase have a lot of fly aways but the JSB Jumbo 15 grain pellets work great for me. I was drilling a beer can at 75 yards with them (and my new trigger). That's way better than I expected from this gun.

very good air rifle for the price

    Things I would have changed:

    not a very good trigger

    What others should know:

after tuning the rifle, replacing the trigger with the GRT-III trigger, and an Apex Seal it is like a $500.00 air rifle

Fun sighting in the gun. Pigeons are in real trouble now. Got to get to the local range first to sight in for longer distance. Love the fel of the gun and it is quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

Make it in any other country than China

    What others should know:

Not yet. Need a little more time using it.Wife needs to try it. Think it would be a good starter rifle for the ladies.

Everything The rifle is quiet, looks great, accurate, the scope was very easy to site in and it is amaxinly powerful.

    Things I would have changed:

Would like the same model with on gun sites just for fun. Would also like a model that would auto load when you break the barrel 6-10 round magazine.

    What others should know:

The nitrogen pump is night and day differant compared to the spring load. Love the Rifle 100%

Like the feel of the stock and handling.

    Things I would have changed:

Poor accuracy. The barrel does not lock-up the same all the time. At 50 feet the left to right is about 1 inch but the up and down is about 6 inches.

    What others should know:

Okay for plinking cans at 20 feet but worthless for serious target/ pest shooting !!

    Things I liked:

Although I am an urban owner, I was able to take this gun out to the country within the first week of purchase. It was fantastic! I really had a chance to break it in and test the optics. This gun hit the mark every time. My fater-in-law (ex-state trooper) couldn't believe how well it shot. He was very impressed by it's craftsmanship and weight. I LOVE this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I only wish it had a magazine rather than single pellet load each time.

    What others should know:

This is a heavy gun and the break barrel cock action is not for the faint of heart. My wife, who is fairly strong, can not cock it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Trigger, long first stage.

    Things I liked:

This is an incredible rifle for just slightly over $200! The accuracy is amazing, I was able to hit a 1/2 inch Wirsbo ring from about 35 yards away with Crosman Premiers. Also the scope, hardwood stock, and the quietness of this gun are just amazing and its good for someone that has neighbors near by and doesn't want to get their attention.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger! Its just awful, it feels like forever when your about to shoot it. It takes a while to get used to it. But even still with this lousy trigger this gun is still amazing to me, so what are you waiting for? Buy one now and im sure you wont regret it.

    What others should know:

The pellets that worked best for this rifle are the Crosman Premiers in my opinion.

    Things I liked:

    Powerful. Quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

After approximately 300 rounds, it is the most inaccurate rifle I have ever fired. I blame the break-barrel. It won't shoot the same direction twice. Supported on a rest (front and back) at 35 yards, the circle is about 4" diameter. ANY old BB gun is far more precise, but this thing can kill. Used it to kill a squirrel that was chewing up my vehicles. Had the site right on its head 7 times. Finally hit the chest and the damn thing died of lead poisoning. Not what I wanted.

    What others should know:

All pellets are not the same. Crosman are lower quality. Diabolo Exact is noticeably better. 14.5g seems best overall weight for gun. 18+g does not penetrate as well. Loudest sound is the pellet hitting the target.

    Things I liked:

Tengo un año con el rifle, su diseño, su mueble en madera, su tamaño y su maquinaria lo hacen simplemente seductor.

    Things I would have changed:

Se debe mejorar la calidad de los ganchos de la correa, hubo que re emplazarlos a los 3 meses de uso por unos de fabricación USA, se mejoro la boquilla del cañón haciendo el orificio redondo (es hexagonal) y el terminado de la nariz la cual se hizo redonda.

    What others should know:

La calidad de los ganchos de la correa es pésima y se desbarata con el uso, el terminado hexagonal de la boquilla hace que el rifle sea impreciso y requiere de corrección en torno al igual que la nariz de la boquilla, al hacerlo redondo de 7 mm y redondear la nariz, mejora el desempeño.

    Things I liked:

Great power--this thing really hits hard--I would not hesitate using it for small game hunting. Also pretty accurate. I've only run about 50 pellets through it so far, but at 20 yards, I can get 1 1/2 groups right out of the box if I'm doing my part right, and I'm guessing with more pellets through it, a good cleaning and better trigger I can improve on that. I like the feel of the gas ram spring, there is some recoil-like feel to it, but it doesn't shudder violently like a magnum springer. I also like the rail scope mount. It's nice to see Benjamin finally including sling mounts and a sling (albeit a cheap one). Overall, a really great springer (pistoner?) for the $200 mark. Exactly what I was looking for in this kind of gun.

    Things I would have changed:

It's hard to get a good consistent sight picture with the included scope, but it can always be replaced with a better quality one. The trigger feels like I'm pulling it back to China, and you never know when it's going to break. The trigger definitely messes with your head and should be replaced.

    What others should know:

I would immediately replace that funky trigger with an aftermarket--I am getting a GRT-III. There is a bit of movement from the piston, so I've been using the artillery hold (rifle resting on your open hand, rather than a death grip on it). I know The NP Trail has been compared to the more powerful XL version, which I've heard is harder to cock and more violent when shooting. The NP Trail seems like it has plenty of power for plinking and small game hunting. So far I'm liking this gun pretty well.

    Things I liked:

I bought 2 of these and they are totally consistent in every way. After break-in, which actually took nearly 1000 rounds to achieve max accuracy, and sampling pellets to find their favorite they will tear a single hole the size of a pencil eraser group after group. Very quiet, easy to cock for a 950fps gun and unlike springers, a single, straight back recoil.

    Things I would have changed:

Better scope. Even when locked in place with multiple sand bags or a bench rest, the slightest eye movement dramatically shifted the crosshairs on target no matter how carefully you focused the eyepiece to get crosshairs and target on the same plane. Replacing with a better scope completely eliminated this effect and resulted in the extreme accuracy.

    What others should know:

Though hold is not as critical as with "springers," an extremely light hold dramatically improves accuracy. As with all guns, powder or air, these will have a favorite pellet...find it and you will be amazed at the accuracy. It will change, the pellet found most accurate no longer was after the 1000 round break-in, and I had to re-test to find the "permanent" favorite.

    Things I liked:

Very nice gun for the money. Cocking effort was not too hard. We put about 400 rounds through this gun in an afternoon. It was a very windy day, and we were still hitting a spinning prairie dog at 50 yards with Crosman premier 14.2 hollow points. It crono'ed 740fps with the 14.2's. This gun will put pellets in a quarter size target at 30 to 40 yards using a rifle rest.all day long. The scope works fine.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is a little long. Really have to be patient till it finally breaks. I will try a GRT trigger on it.

    What others should know:

We ran 5 different weights and shaped pellets through this gun, and it seemed to like the 14.2 Grain Crosman premier hollow points the best.

Love the weight and big rifle feel.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger, trigger and the trigger. The rest of the gun is very well put-together but the trigger is absolutely horrible. It is the worst I have ever encountered.

    What others should know:

Order the trigger from Charliedatuna as soon as you order the gun.

    Things I liked:

Shrouded bull barrel, Sling and mounts, Weaver rail and rings.

    Things I would have changed:

Pistol grip of stock is not well made and the angle of the grip aggrivates my carpal. Shroud does not really muffle the report, still loud after 1,000 rounds. Scope is not optical quality, it is useable but just barely.

    What others should know:

Make sure you tighten the breach pivot bolt snugly and often. The barrel should not flop freely when the piston is cocked. This adjustment is crucial to ensuring windage accuracy on this rifle. Also ensure fore stock screws are tightened snugly and often as this will also affect accuracy. This is now the third attempt for PA to supply me with a quality Trail NP rifle. All attempts to date have been open boxes, and unacceptable! I have returned this final unit to Crosman for repair.

its quiet but hits with a knocking blow shot a squirrel square in the chest it i crawled for about 10 yds and was dead. with the hitting power its great for getting rid of pests. its very stable and feels like a real rifle even when shooting. its quiet enough to not alarm your neighbors but lethal enough to kill anything thats small game. it like hollowpoints really havent shot anything else with it yet but want too in the coming months.

    Things I would have changed:

able to detatch the sling piece thats on the barrel.

    What others should know:

its great for plinking and shooting pest/ small game... very powerful

    Things I liked:

Nice finish. Nice balance. Great power. very accurate with a barrel mounted laser.

    Things I would have changed:

I have already written a positive review, so now that I've had the rifle for a few months I want to share what I found. It was firing just fine for a while, maybe about 600 rounds. Then the accuracy went to he**, and I noticed a lot of flyers...like one out of three, that were inches off at even 10 yds. I tried different pellets, and a different scope and rings and still had the same problem. (by the way, I can shoot pretty well) The problem is that the barrel does not lock up in the same spot after cocking. I was able to verify this after getting a barrel mounted laser. First, I sighted in the laser. (looking through the included scope, but ignoring the crosshairs) once sighted in, I could put rounds in the same hole at 10 yds. then I moved the crosshairs so they lined up with the laser. Here's where it gets fun. I cock the rifle, and look through the sights to see that the crosshairs are no longer aligned with the laser. Once again I ignore the crosshairs, and aim with the laser and I'm spot on. After firing, the cross hairs re-align with the laser. I can even cock the gun, and look through the sight while tapping the barrel and see the sights move!(in relation to the laser). Basically, without the laser the rifle is useless. That kind of stinks, because you lose the benefit of a stable weaver mount. It would be great if they mounted the weaver rail right to the barrel for a laser, so you don't have to worry about bumping it.

    What others should know:

with a barrel mounted laser, the rifle is perfect. without, good luck.
