Had my two daughters shooting baseball sized ballons out to sixty yrds. Things I would have changed:Not buying one sooner. What others should know:I put this on my Big Cat 1200. I love it. Little bit of an eye-relief problem only because I'm a tall, slender fellow with mile-long arms. I used a one-piece UTG mount with the scope slid forward far as I can & I need a bit more but I can still fire comfortably with the right positioning & stance. A scope stop behind the one-piece mount would move it forward the right amount. To use the shadow-tube you have to mount the scope back too far for comfortable eye-relief so you can still break the barrel for loading. None of this is bad to the point of unsatisfaction, just my own personal experience & preferences.

Things I would have changed:I would move the parallax adjustment to the turret like on the Accu-Shot series scopes. Much more ergonomic. Also, it is stiff to turn. Maybe over time it will loosen but in cold weather its stiff. What others should know:The lens covers may get in the way if you are constantly adjusting your parallax. Another reason why to move it to the turret. This should be de facto for all AO scopes.

Very clear and bright optics. It's a keeper. Things I would have changed:Change the scope covers to fit on a mid rise mount, otherwise you'll need a high rise mount as the objective lens fits mid rise only if you take the objective cover off. Currently I'm using the following mount: Leapers Accushot 1-Pc Mount w/1" Rings, 3/8" Dovetail with a baggie over the objective lens (high tech lol). But the scope but can't sit any lower on the barrel which I like. I'll need to find a screw in objective cap or bikini cover.
What others should know:The parallax setting is changed by rotating the objective lens. It is not one of the three center knobs (darn). And while the scope is range estimating, the math you have to do in your head is daunting and in meters.

My latest purchase of this scope is a bit disappointing in that the overall quality of the second scope does not match that of the one I purchased earlier in the year. The windage and elevation adjustments are more difficult to use and the very precise click that I hear with scope no. one is missing in scope no. two. Perhaps I got a friday or a monday model. Now that I have properly adjusted the scope and have found three different pellets thas shoot well in my air toy, it's deadly accurate

Light transmission is excellent even as the sun goes down. The price is unbelievable for a scope designed to withstand the abuse of magnum air rifles. I am now able to "kill" water filled pop cans out to 85 meters from the standing position. I hold over about 4 dots depending on the pellet type. Things I would have changed:The scope caps could possibly use stronger springs to help keep them off of the lenses after opening. Especially when tracking moving targets. What others should know:This scope was mounted on a RWS model 350 in 22 caliber. I hope this "Glass" will continue to handle the stout recoil of this air rifle. I removed the lens caps and used a neoprene scope cover for protection when the air rifle is not in use. I simply pull off the cover when I need to engage in long range pest control operations. I have thus far not had a need to use the reticle illumination feature for hunting, but for short range plinking it is excellent in the lowest brightness setting.

In lieu of something faster on my Henry I put this scope on my 50cal. CVA
muzzleloader. I shot over a hundred rounds just the day I went out to sight it in. Since then I have shot several more hunderd. I hold about a 2 1/2 in. group at 100yds on good days. This scope has given me far more than I ever expected for the price I gave for it. If you want a cheap scope you can beat around and still have it work like a champ this is it. I'll be getting another leapers scope real soon and hope it is everything this one is.

What others should know:i went through 4 of these scopes, all with the exact same problems... problems both tom gaylord and leapers claim should have never occured. every shot i would take with my crosman phantom air rifle would cause the reticle to move inside the scope, resulting in 4 inch 3 shot groupes at 10 yeards. tried everything possible to fix this problem without voiding the warenty, even took a few tips and suggestions from BB. in the blog section of this website, nothing worked. these problems are most likly due to a bad batch of scopes sent to pyramyd air but im not going to take my chances, im going with the centerpoint scope that has all the same specs for the same price
