I didn't even know that *I* was so accurate until I shot this pistol. The shot simply goes exactly where I aim. The gun is also a pleasure to shoot. It is light, well balanced and simply designed. Loading the pellet is as frustration-free as I have experienced with any single-shot gun (including the Benjamin Discovery). Things I would have changed:Nothing in the gun itself. See below for owner's manual note. What others should know:If you buy this gun, be aware that it takes two or three dry-fire shots to get a new CO2 canister going. At first I thought I failed to screw in the canister tightly enough because the first dry-fire shot was just an empty thud -- no gas. But that's normal. The second dry-fire is partial gas, and the third is full gas.

Things I liked:Quality and feel of a solid well built air gun. VALUE Things I would have changed:Nothing What others should know:This gun has a classsic feel that can be passed down if you ever want to give it up. It also shoots well for plinkering and small pest control.

Things I would have changed:Here's my 2 cents worth--Rear sight is lacking fine adjustments--Fit of the wood grips was a little off--Grips could be just a tad thicker too--Smoother trigger, or even a trigger shoe option would help. Overall I wouldn't change much--I think its a nice little pistol & a good value. What others should know:The first time I shot this pistol it was shooting really high, I adjusted the rear sight (that screw sure is long) and all was fine. There isn't really a windage adjustment, but mine was set nearly dead center from the factory and once it was dialed in and I did my part, three shot groups were always touching and there were even a few ragged holes thrown in for good measure. I was shooting at 10 yards and the temp. was in the mid 70's (nice for November). The CO2 pressure stayed consistent until the last few shots. I painted the front sight blade fluorescent orange, so I could see a bit better (I'm getting old) and added a trigger shoe that was sitting around , I was in luck that it fit great and it really helped to make the trigger pull smother and more even. I was using Crosman Premier 14.3gr hollow-points. No problems on my first outing with the EB22.

Barrel accepts a solid see through scope base made for Benjamine/Sheridan air guns. Pressure stays consistant right to the last two or three shots (about 35 full pressure shots) Things I would have changed:CO2 end cap, the original Benjamine/Sheridan had a two piece threaded plug with the inside piece being an aluminum receptical that allowed the CO2 cartridge to snug up into the piercing pen with out turning, I'd also go back and reintroduce the 20 caliber. What others should know:Excellent gun for the money, it's not in danger of ever being replaced because to accept anything less would be to be buying junk.
Some of us in life will always prefer a good quality air gun - this just happens to be one of them.

It lacks the power regardless of what others have said to hunt anything bigger than a small bird, weak. Don't buy this pistol if you are thinking you are going to hunt anything bigger than a bird at close range it lacks the power for anything bigger. When you hear people claim that their airgun penetrates so deep into wood you need to understand the different wood types to be accurate. Soft pressed wood this pistol goes through when it is a quarter of inch thick. Pressed hard wood you can forget it, pellets just ricochete, protective eyeware is highly recommended when target shooting. Overall good for plinking and mouse hunting at close range.

Things I would have changed:Checkered grips would be nice. Also, trigger is skinny and needs some breaking in. Still far superior to triggers on most CO 2 repeating pistols, as it is a single action. What others should know:Very effective within its limitations. I highly reccomend it for small pest control and general purpose mayhem. A carbine version of this would be kickass.

Things I liked:Just a really nice gun! Compact and Powerful. I have two of the .177 and two of the .22. The .177's are more accurate and easier to shoot for distance, but for the distances one uses a pistol for pest control the .22 is sufficiently accurate, and really delivers the punch! Things I would have changed:I would like to see it with the same barrell length as the pump-up model. Some of the most recent examples I have seen(I work in a sporting-goods store) have somewhat loose bolt cams. If you have a dremel tool with the proper bit and elongate the rear of the screw slots in the bolt cam plate, you can gain sufficient adjustment to get positive bolt closure. What others should know:These are easy to work on. No special tools required. Crosman/Benjamin are happy to sell parts. You can buy a lot of CO2 for the $ you will spend on other guns that will not give you the service and/or satisfaction one of these will.

Aiming and firing are easy and the gun (from my limited experience) seems quite accurate. The finish is better than Benjamin's finish on their earlier pistols and rifles. The CO2 loads easy and you know immediately when it has run low. There is a distinct loss of power. Things I would have changed:The trigger pull is a little chancy. I am never quite sure when I have applied enough pressure to fire the pistol. This may improve with use. What others should know:If you want a air pistol with, good, solid, metal construction. This is a good buy.
I have installed a BSA red dot scope on mine. Heck of a combo.
As has been said before. These may not be around much longer.

Things I liked:brass barrel and frame, generally well made, compact, wood grips. American made. Should last many, many years. Fairly accurate. Fun to use. Things I would have changed:The finish rubs off easily off and could be more durable. What others should know:A lot of air pistol for the money.
