The 760 Pumpmaster with a black synthetic stock, silver barrel and black 4x scope. This is what all the other multi-pump pneumatics want to be! In production for decades, over 10 million 760s have been sold. It shoots BBs (as a repeater) or .177 pellets (5-shot clip) and does so with power and accuracy.

At less than 3 lbs., it's a great starter air rifle. The Pumpmaster takes 3 to 10 pumps to send BBs up to 625 fps and pellets up to 600 fps. The checkering on the grip and the grooves on the pump handle make it that much easier to get a grip and stay on target.

Ideal for plinking and target shooting. (Never shoot BBs at metal objects!) It's so light that you can shoot all day! Suitable for younger shooters (with adult supervision) and smaller adults.

Pellets are loaded into a 5-shot manual clip, while BBs have an 18-shot magazine, which is fed from the 200-shot reservoir. Includes a fixed front sight and a rear sight that's adjustable for elevation. The 4x scope has a focusing eyepiece, coated lenses and turret adjustments.

Things I liked:

Great starter gun for a yongster, easy to use and teach the basics.

Things I would have changed:

Pumping isn't fun but what you going to do?

What others should know:

You really don't need more than 4-5 pumps to shoot cans and 8 pumps for near max power. Trash the sight it comes with and use the iron sights or get a semi decent budget sight to mount. The included sight just makes everything harder.

  • Ben from USA asked:

With the 5 pellet clip, do you need to pump it for each pellet, or do you pump it and then fire each of the 5 pellets?

    • oats from USA answered:

Pump it for each pellet (single shot).

  • cj from USA asked:

What pellet would be best for small game and pest control?

    • Jon from USA answered:

I thi nk with this airgun, whatever pellet gives you good enough accuracy, you'd better go with that one. Like, for ratting at, say 7 yards. If you can't reliably hold a half inch group, find another pellet. It's a smooth bore, so accuracy is not going to be really good, and will degrade past maybe 10 yards fast.
