If you enjoy shooting competitively, Daisy's single-stroke pneumatic Match Grade Avanti 747 Triumph Match pistol will get you started in the field of 10-meter shooting, an Olympic sport. With its highly accurate Lothar Walther barrel, this gun is all business. Lothar Walther barrels are regarded as the top in the world, and the one on this gun is no exception. It's made of high-grade steel, it has 12 lands and grooves, it has a righthand twist and its bore is sized for match pellets.
Besides a top barrel, the 747 has a fully adjustable rear sight (blade front sight) and an adjustable single-stage trigger. The trigger-pull weight can be reduced to 1.0 lb. or as high as 4.50 lbs. The cocking effort is a low 17 lbs., which makes it ideal for shooters as young as 16 (with adult supervision).Â

Things I liked: Very accurate. Easy to cock. Not a bad deal for the price.
Things I would have changed: Just like older models, it would be much nicer with wooden grips. I would also like to be able to upgrade the sights.
Things I liked: Very accurate, for the money its on the same level of performance as the IZH-46M air pistol. Mounted a red dot sight and once sighted in can hit a dime size target at 50 feet with no problems. Word of caution, when charging the pistol do not pinch the skin on the palm of your hand when the lever snaps closed. The adjustable trigger is fantastic, a plus on all counts.
Things I would have changed: The bolt is made of plastic and seems to be a little rough. After a couple hundred rounds it seems to be smoothing out. I would maybe think of a metal bolt of some kind like my old crossman.
What others should know: If you are looking for a quality air pistol and are on a budget this is a quality product and worth the couple hundred bucks.
Things I liked: Fun, weighty, easy to prime via side-lever, holds nice. Solid light action on trigger and a joy to pljnk with. Quiet and at 300 - 350fps its a perfect basement-range pistol for those colder months. I love this gun.
Things I would have changed: - My pistol skills. - The bolt-handle is plastic. Just feels a bit cheap but it works as described. No problems but it would be nice to have it be metal. - Can be tricky to load at first.
What others should know: Purchased this for 20% off during a Pyramyd Air holiday sale and at that point it is an absolute steal. Worth it at its normal price.
Is it possible to mount a Red Dot?
What type of oil is the best to use especially on the felt washer by the oil wiper? I know it states to use a 20 weight non detergent motor oil but which oil would that be (brand) that is provided on this website?
I was looking for some 30 weight non detergent oil... I don't know if they carry this at Pyramid Air... I went to my local auto parts store and asked for it... I don't know if they had 20w but they did have 30w... They keep it in the back so it's not accidently used for motor oil... I went to O'Reillys but I'm sure others have it also...
I'm interested in this pistol but can't find the left hand grips anywhere on the internet. I can't find them here at PA under accessories. Does anyone know where they can be purchased?
I contacted Daisy and was informed that left handed grips are no longer available. I purchased a FAS 6004 with ambidextrous grips and glad I got that instead of the Daisy.
