This special 70th Anniversary Edition of America's favorite airgun has a special commemorative medallion in the stock. It's bound to be a collectible. A great gift for kids and adults! Includes the gun and a BB tin with vintage graphics.

    Suitable for shooters 10 and older (with adult supervision), this lever-action spring rifle is lightweight, easy to cock and durable. The solid wood forearm and engraved wood stock are just the right length for young shooters.

    With a capacity of 650 BBs (Never shoot BBs at hard objects!), you'll be shooting all day long! The rifle comes with a blade and ramp front sight and an adjustable open rear sight. It has a stamped metal receiver.

    This rifle is perfect for plinking, shooting paper targets and for training new shooters. The Red Ryder is intended for shooting targets UP TO 5 meters away...about 16.5 feet! Safety glasses for the shooter and everyone else in the vicinity are necessary, as BBs can bounce back.

    Things I liked:the bb gun as a whole! so much fun and great for teaching others how to shoot

    Things I liked:It was a very fun gift to give my husband....the jokes all became about "shooting one's eye out". It's been great fun. And the price was nice, too.
    Things I would have changed:I was disappointed in the plastic cocking mechanism (there is probably a real name, but I'm a stinking girl). It was very chintzy.

    I found a metal cocking lever at Daisy Outdoor Products for $6.50 including postage. Easy change out, two minutes. Just do not cock the lever before you install it. Go to Blog here, go to Red Ryder, Part 3, scroll way down to my letters. Yep ! Pete Hallock

    Spot on about the plastic cocking lever. Mine does too. Trying to find a new one of metal. The Red Ryder is now available with a metal cocking lever as standard.
