Since the Diana 340 N-TEC Luxus Pro Compact air rifle doesn't come with open sights, you must mount an optical sight. To get the most accuracy your rifle can deliver, get a good-quality scope (this is not the time to compromise). The 340 is suitable for hunting and eliminating small pests and critters at close distances. But don't think that's all. Plinking and shooting bullseye targets are excellent ways to pass the time with your new 340!

Walnut stock and mat finish on metal
Things I Would Have ChangedA little heavy . Remove muzzle brake
What Others Should KnowThis is really a beautiful looking rifle. Kind of heavy especially for the disappointing fps in 22 cal. With even moderate weight pellet's it chronigraphed in the 650 fps range. Mine is however quite accurate. I found the trigger was very difficult to get a real clean glass rod type break. It is a very light trigger just not predictable as say a Beeman r9 trigger. Overall I like the gun. I removed the heavy bulky muzzle brake. It made the gun balance much better. You will have to refinish the barrel if you remove the brake as it is not finished underneath it. I used some tool black and it came out quite well. This gun also shoots the h&n green lead free pellet's very well. Using these lightweight pellet's pushed the fps in the 790 range.
After 100 pellets the shot cycle is smoother and quieter than my TX 200 MK III. Stock fit and checkering is perfect. Not as heavy as I was expecting. H&N FTT 14.66 5.53 head 10 shot average: 669 fps, ES 10, SD 2. Shooting out the window at golf ball size snow balls were no problem at 50 yards and beyond.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe metal finish is a flat bead blasted finish. The walnut stock finish is also flat. A Luxus rifle in this price range should have a fine blued finish and a satin finish on the stock. The trigger is very smooth but a little unpredictable(not a TX 200 or a Record trigger)
What Others Should KnowCocking has been a little rough so I pulled the action. The slot has burrs and I can see where the cocking shoe has rubbed the metal. There was some very fine metal dust in the stock. Hopefully this will smooth out soon. If I had to do it again I may have ordered the beech stock and saved some money. The Luxus is a nice rifle but not in the same class as my TX 200 MK III.

Solidly built. Nice aesthetics on stock. POWERFUL...pellets smack target with authority.
Things I Would Have ChangedSling mounts.
What Others Should KnowTrigger is extremely light out of box ( I miss fired down range a few times before acquiring target ). Cocking was grainy out of box, but after I removed the stock and wiped away the thick factory lubricant throughout and reapplied Hoppes gun oil, while still a beast to cock, this baby is a lot smoother. It seems quite heavy when you pick it up, but literally disappears in your hand once you find your hold--a testament to its balance. I'm an exceptional bench shooter but shooting this thing from a rest is like cheating!...literally a clump of stacked pellets protruding from wooden backstop 25/30 yrds out. There's resistance along the compression camber from what feels like the cocking shoe mid way to the end of the stroke, but that's smoothing out the more I use the rifle. Not too loud but not as quiet as I'd like. JSB Match Diablo Exact Jumbo Heavy (18.13 grain ) are phenomenal (Polymags and various H&N's shot well to ok ). A Pitt Bull on leash pulling its owner down the street.
