The FWB 103 is the single-stroke pneumatic entry in the line of Feinwerkbau air pistols. The unique aspect of the airgun is that the FWB 103 incorporates a detachable single lever for reduced firing weight and improved balance.
Swinging the cocking lever forward opens the loading gate. The pellet is loaded into the bore, and with the loading gate in the open position the line of sight is blocked. This aids the shooter in focusing on the task at hand and eliminates lost shots by not loading a pellet during the intense concentration of a match.
The FWB 103 comes with a muzzlebrake fitted as standard, which diverts air flow from the pellet flight for improved follow through and target placement.
As is standard with the Feinwerkbau airguns, the wonderfully sensitive trigger is perfection. The unit is completely adjustable in almost every conceivable way, and there is even a dry-fire mechanism for sight control and trigger practice. The grip, available for right- and left-handed shooters, is adjustable and seems to fit the hand like a glove.

What others should know:I'm an older, shaky, below average shooter who had an IZH-46M for backyard target practice. After a few days of adjusting the trigger on the FWB103, my groups are about half as large (still huge). The argument that the IZH-46M has many of the same features is true, as far as it goes. Which is to say that I have many of the same features as an expert shot. Quality really does make all the difference, and this beautiful, elegant piece of German engineering has it!

Things I liked:(Based on older model FWB 100)

Everything!
Exceptional trigger, great grips, killer sights, scary accuracy, perfect fit & finish, dry firing selector for practicing release, plus serious power for a pistol. Things I would have changed:A gun of this caliber should have some method of weight attachment to customize the balance, my 100 lacks this, but I think the newer model adresses this shortcoming. What others should know:This gun is incredible, average shooters will never be able to realize its full potential for accuracy, on several occasions I have actually shot a full round of 10 shots through one ragged hole (offhand but not timed) with mine....now if I could only do that on a regular basis ;)
Trigger adjustment took some work to get "just right" (the previous owner had dialed in lots of pre-pull, a long overlap and a relatively heavy weight), but the hour or so spent fiddling with the various settings was well worth the effort as my gun now releases crisply with a pull that is less than one pound yet completely safe from accidental discharge.
