The Quiet Energy Series (QE) models feature an integrated Sound Moderator in the muzzle break and are fully shrouded. Expect up to a 50% reduction in down-range noise when choosing the upgraded QE version!
The Hatsan 95 has proven itself over the years, and they've now kicked it up a notch by inserting a Vortex gas piston to replace the coiled metal mainspring. If you've shot spring-piston guns before, you're in for a treat when you pull the trigger on this model!
If you enjoy hunting or pest elimination, or you're just waiting for that squirrel to pop up his head one more time in your vegetable garden, then the Vortex 95 is the rifle for you. Sometimes, you have to leave your rifle cocked for a few minutes as you wait for the right opportunity to appear. You shouldn't do that with a gun that has a coiled metal spring, as the spring will deteriorate whenever the gun is cocked for an extended period of time. But, you can do that all the time with your 95 equipped with a Vortex gas piston!

Gas piston with QE. Nice wood stock.
Things I would have changed:Metal trigger guard instead of plastic.
What others should know:I'm a smaller adult(5 foot 3 inches) and a senior citizen. Takes quite a bit of effort to cock.

What Pellet do you find is the most accurate for this rifle in .25cal?
Is this a co2 operating pellet rifle that doesn't require cocking the barrel to load?
This is a break barrel airgun.
What is the cocking effort on the Hatsan 95 Air Rifle .22?
It takes some effort, but gets easier over time. I think most of them are like that, especially in the larger cal. In my 50s and 175 lbs, the easiest way to cycle it is to put the buttt on the floor, then swing the barrel over and push down. Allows you to put your weight in it. I can not cycle with the rifle stock in one hand and the barrel in the other, but can do it off the knee with some moderate effort. My wife who is the same age and 120 lbs, she has a difficult time with it, so I have to do it for her, but then she'll proceed to out shoot me.

Despite it's heavy weight, it won't "break" when I set it down on the bag too hard. At 8lbs it is on the heavy side but this is primarily a bench gun so what may be a con for others works to my benefit down-range. The trigger is great once you get to know it. The scope-stop all but eliminates movement, once I was zero'd my bugbuster on bkl 1-piece 3" mount has not budged. I also really like the safety. I avoid firearms with a manual safety and that habit translates over to air rifles typically. But the 95's safety is natural feeling and I like it.
Things I would have changed:I dont care for the foregrip of the stock. The mandatory-scope for the vortex-qe version is so terrible. Im extremely budget conscience and tried to make it work but we eventually shot the scope itself. not worth the trouble to even ship it. Sell one without the scope. The QE baffles are terrible and the clearance strips very little air. Thankfully Hatsan really went the cheap route and ALL QE models have the EXACT same set of baffles. Aftermarket replacements are plentiful and magnitudes better than OEM. Machine head screw in the stock is very soft and strips too easy.
What others should know:The safety is "loose" when engaged. It can make a rattling that is surprising. You might find other rattling too as all of the screws need to be tightened up and blue threadlock added. Ditch the stock baffles, GeoffK sells a 10-stage baffle on an auction site its WAY better and worth every penny. The barrel will be FILTHY when it arrives. pull a couple patches soaked in goo gone, maybe half a dozen. Then it took just as many dry patches until mine was clean. Dieseling was tough for 20-50 pellets. After 100 push another dry patch thru if the dieseling is done . Some guys talk about 1k break-in periods but my 11 year old stacks pellets at 11 yards all day once we got it zero'd. He's never shot ANYTHING before, let alone something inherently more difficult like springer/gas-piston. It prefers superdomes, jsb 18.13 .
