Getting the Most Out of Your Gas Piston Air Rifle
Accurate Shooting: The Artillery Hold
Gas piston air rifles hold sensitive due to the recoil of their piston rocketing forward after the trigger is pulled and the backward recoil of the shot. Due to this unique quirk, gas piston air rifles shoot most accurately when fired using the “Artillery Hold”. To perform an artillery hold, gently rest the butt of the rifle on your shoulder, instead of holding firmly like a traditional firearm. Do not try and restrain the movement of the gun when firing.
