Things I liked:

As with other PA reviewers, I love the quality, quietness, and capability of this Made in England compressor. Fills my Air Venturi Avenger in a minute or less. I needed to adjust the regulator pressure on the Avenger which required completely emptying its reservoir. After the adjustment I then filled it from zero to 4350 PSI and the compressor only paused once when it hit 75C. Half a minute or so later it started back up and completed the fill. I live in Florida and it's warm here... in colder conditions I'll bet this compressor would take the rifle from zero to max PSI in one pass without hitting the thermal limiter.

Things I would have changed:

As others have mentioned, I would have liked a longer fill hose. With my compressor on the floor I end up putting my rifle on a cardboard box next to it to do the fill. Not a big deal but a longer hose would be a little more convenient for me. I'm also considering buying an inline moisture filter for the air. One of the PA reps told me it wasn't necessary but when the bleed is opened to depressurize the line after filling, a lot of water and some clear silicone oil does come out. Hopefully the separator is efficient enough that only a negligible amount is going down the fill hose, but I'm still a bit concerned.

What others should know:

When filling the crankcase oil the first time, be patient. I poured about half the bottle of provided oil into the reservoir to bring the level to the red dot. Then over the next few minutes I ended up using another quarter of the bottle as the level gradually dropped. I've used the machine for five fills now and it hasn't needed any more oil. I did buy extra oil (both types) just to have on hand. I probably won't need the extras for a long time. I got an old beach towel to cover the unit when I'm not using it to keep it shiny and clean and protect the control panel. I'm so glad I didn't buy a hand pump, refillable air tank, or cheap Chinese compressor. I'm too old to be pushing on a hand pump, don't want to be carrying air tanks around to be filled, and don't want the annoyance of a machine that won't last. This compressor was pricey but well worth the investment, even though I only have one air rifle! No regrets and highly recommend this quality machine.

Things I liked:

Size, price

Things I would have changed:

Dependability.

What others should know:

Second unit is going back. I got maybe 20 minutes of use between the two units. Both would work the first day. On day two neither would power up. I also believe the second one I got was a refrub unit. I am now looking for a compressor from different manufacture.

    Things I liked:

This compressor is just what we needed. We have a Youth Airgun League and 4 H airgun league. The Air Venturi EC-3000 does exactly what we hoped it would do. I would recommend this product to anyone that has to lug air tanks to get them filled.

    Things I would have changed:

The rubber pads for the feet need to be made of harder or denser rubber. We have teenagers that drag the compressor instead of picking it up and the feet are constantly coming off.

This is a well built machine. Charges my Hatsan Piledriver very fast.

It could use a longer charging hose.

Quiet and easy operation. Easy to carry lightweight unit. Time will tell on longevity.

    Things I would have changed:

I would prefer an enclosed water cooling system to keep temps down instead of shut-offs and fuse blowing. At the least a way to do that for an extra sum. Probably a filter beyond the factory water/oil separator.

    What others should know:

They are _ONLY_ designed to fill gun tanks not bigger bottles of any kind. Be sure you know that before spending a large sum on one.

    Things I liked:

The overall fit and finish is very nice. The pump is easy to operate, menus and controls easy to understand. I like that the fill pressure has to be reset every time the pump is turned on. I have airguns with different requirements, so it makes you take a moment to think about what you are about to fill, and set it appropriately. There no dive shops anywhere near me so this is the best option as I was not shooting as much having to hand pump a 480cc bottle. I got this for Christmas, and the first thing my wife said when I fired it up in the living room was that it was not very loud.

    Things I would have changed:

This was purchased during the holiday specials that were run so it was not as expensive as it would have been. It's a pill to swallow, but hopefully in the long run it will be worth it.

    Things I liked:

PCP refill station, So glad to have at home now. With so many SCUBA shops closing up was starting to have a dim outlook on the future and longevity of the PCP air guns. Now with pumps like this within reach of the consumer the PCP Air Gun is here to stay.

    Things I would have changed:

Love this pump, a few features for this price point and obviously easy to program in the GUI would be nice. * Having a few user-set defined fill pressures to cycle through vs having to scroll from 1400 PSI each and every fill would be nice at this price point. * Ability to convert temperature between Fahrenheit and Celsius. * Menu to be a little less clunky, more user friendly.

    What others should know:

Regardless of things I'd like to see changed, this pump rocks. For filling rifles/guns directly it is ideal. For filing tanks be aware it is moving very little air to this high pressure so it does take a long while to fill tanks.

    Things I liked:

This Air Venturi EC-3000 compressor by Hill is a fine piece of equipment. It is beautifully made and works perfectly. it was extremely easy to set up and very easy to use. This compressor fills PCP tanks very quickly and is relatively quiet. It has a unique cooling system so that you don't have to worry about overheating. I enjoy just looking at it as it looks really good. I am very impressed with it and also the excellent service from Pyramid Air.

    Things I would have changed:

This only thing I would change about this compressor is the pressure readout. I would prefer PSI instead of BAR.

    Things I liked:

Ive tried the best of the Chinese lunchbox compressors. I got 4 years (a record?) out of the Nomad 2, and 3 days out of the Tuxing. The Hill EC-3000 seemed like the next step up. Air Venturi is now distributing it, so the price is a now half again as much, but the electronics have been improved, so it may actually be worth it. Its quiet, relatively fast, and convenient. The build quality is great. The size is larger than a lunchbox, but still compact. And it uses a real 110/220 volt motor, not a tiny 12 volt motor with an inverter. A joy to use.

    Things I would have changed:

An intake filter would make it even quieter. It would be nice if the price came back down, at least a bit. And the oil kit is even more overpriced than the machine. There is no rebuild kit in the US (they say contact reseller if it malfunctions, which is baloney) Ill have to get one from England if they dont offer it by the time I hit a hundred hours. This device is totally driven by electronics, which is convenient, unless they fail. All of which are concerning, but none are deal breakers.,

    What others should know:

This is a stationary device. It does not run from a car battery, cannot be tilted and moved like a lunchbox unit. If you need on-location air, fill a tank for that.

    Things I liked:

Gui is straight forward and the unit feels solid

    Things I would have changed:

Cooling of the pump area could be improved as my pump went through a few cooling cycles just filling my bottle modified avenger, the air flow over the high pressure pump is extremely low. I will run a box fan across the pump the next time for an interim solution until I can figure out a more permanent solution. Also the green sheet metal that covers the high pressure pump was touching the oil/water separator and after its first use, it had worn in a small nic on the separator, so I had to modify it to move it away so no more wear would happen. given the price of the unit this does not leave a good impression. Also the thread pitch for the fill hose seems to be odd, I wanted to replace the fill hose from the oil/water separator with one of my own that has the standard? M10x1 pitch, it would not fit, I then tried the existing hose on a thread gauge and it would only partially thread into an M10x1, so I'm not sure what the pitch is since I don't have other metric thread pitch gauges.

Fast fills with my 400 and 500 bottles on my impacts. Very quiet compared to the Yong hang and air venturi, tuxing etc.

    Things I would have changed:

Add a bigger intake filter to make it even quieter. The loudest sound came from the intake filter so added an old high pressure moisture filter to mine as a intake filter and it is whisper quiet now and I can change filters easily

    What others should know:

Time will tell on longevity but with the auto temp cutout and auto silicone oil injection I figure it will easily surpass the China built cheap stuff that has flooded the market.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Performs as advertised. It is simple to operate, and the control walks you through the set-up. It is quieter than your average "pancake" compressor and fills most tanks quickly. You can monitor the pressure as it fills, and it has an hour meter to keep track of normal maintenance. This is a beautiful piece of equipment that is so well designed and built that one might be tempted to keep it where you can see it even when it is not in use. I'm sure that the people at Hill are proud of this product, as they should be.

    Things I would have changed:

I can't think of anything that I would change.

    What others should know:

Even the packaging is first class. I cut the top flaps from the box and inverted it to cover the unit when not in use.

So I actually bought this before a PCP gun! I read enough reviews to understand there are no reliable cheap compressors. I also understand that these are not designed to fill large tanks! That being said Ive been pleased with this compressor ! Appears to be very overbuilt not when I would call portable as its very heavy somewhat bulky! That being said this has proven to be a reliable resource for my PCP gun. Very fast fill time , computer controlled , auto shut down for overheating pretty much everything you need

    Things I would have changed:

    Things I liked:

Precise pressure control, obvious high quality construction, superb quality at a very reasonable price point.

    Things I would have changed:

The only thing I would change is for there to be a installed desiccant filter to keep water vapor from the atmosphere from getting into the pump, bottle or rifles. Likely not much of an issue but it would satisfy the OCD in me. :-)

    What others should know:

I comparison shopped a great deal. I had almost settled on a much more expensive Omega compressor but the precision filling capability and lower purchase price were deciding factors to make me choose the Hill system. I have absolutely zero regrets The system arrived well packaged and I must give compliments to Pyramid Air, It also arrived ahead of schedule. I have two PCPs: a Benjamin Marauder and FX Impact. This system is a perfect complement to these two rifles. The only thing that I would suggest would be for an owner of an FX impact. If you purchase this or most any other compressor, a Foster fitting extension is available which is extremely helpful. The refill probe on the impact is recessed into the trigger guard and an inexpensive extension is almost a necessity.
