Things I liked: Wasn't sure what to think of this holster when I ordered it. Didn't know if it would be as good of quality as my six gun holsters. Better than I expected! Fits the Bear River Schofield great, & my 7.5 in. Uberti Cattleman drops right in. Thought it would be foreign made, but it's made in Texas! If you're a single action shooter of either C02 or gunpowder, this is a great holster for the price!

Things I liked: Great quality. Fits both the Schofield and the Colt SAA 45. For me, the SAA fits better & deeper, like a glove; with the open bottom, I can also use it for my 12-inch barrel SAA Buntlines sticking out the bottom -- not a fast-draw situation. The Schofield rides a bit high, but then the top-break release mechanism does not catch on the holster, so there are no surprise openings with cartridges flying all about in the dirt.

Things I would have changed: The hammer-hold thong is flimsy, stretches too easily; make it heavier duty. Add a cross-draw version for a right-hander; lefties, too. I could not find a black version.

What others should know: The Remington 1875 does not fit well because of its spider beneath the barrel.

Things I liked: Leather: Heavyweight, oil-tanned. Appears as if the claim of hand-tooling is accurate. Period Accuracy: From all the pictures and samples Ive encountered (in museums), this is a pretty accurate rendition of a mid to late 19th century Slim Jim holster, popular from the goldfields of California to the Mississippi, and probably beyond.

Things I would have changed: Dye or use colored stitching. The small of amount of white doesn’t add anything, and imo just detracts a little from the looks.

What others should know: For the Schofield it is a TIGHT fit at the top. Recommend neatsfoot oil and lots of elbow grease.
