Things I liked:

It's a semi.Beautiful gun.It shoots fast.Very accurate.Fun to shoot.

Things I would have changed:

Synthetic stock would have been better also I think it should've came with more mags.

What others should know:

Whole lot heavier than my other Mauraders .Very accurate with crosman 14.3 domed puts most of them in the same hole haven't tried any other brands yet. I've searched everywhere for mags and can't find any after 3 weeks of owning this gun everyone said wait about a month.

Things I liked:

It's semi auto. Really quite quiet. Very backyard friendly. Adjustable cheek comb. Pretty accurate WHEN it operates properly.

Things I would have changed:

Magazine feed worked great for about 50 shots. Then it started jamming. Magazine would regularly become jmed in the weapon. I am using Crossman Premium pellets. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! I DID NOT BUY AN $800 PCP, only to have to return it within a week. The magazine is a big problem!! I would NOT recommend this weapon to anyone until the magazine issue is (proven to be) resolved.

What others should know:

I have three Benjamin air guns. A Trail, which was billed as being accurate...it is SO not. A .457, which is looking good so far. And now this dissapointment. Looks like Benjamin engineering & Quality Control are lacking! 2 out of three are duds????? I really wanted to like this gun. I wasted a lot of time and money outfitting a huge piece of junk!

    Things I liked:

The SAM is a beautiful rifle with a lot of punch and accuracy. I love that I can shoot as fast as I want to with confidence.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to be able to feed a single pellet without using the magazine.

    What others should know:

I am new to PCP air rifles. I contacted customer service at both Benjamin and Pyramyd with questions and got amazing, friendly and courteous help. I am very happy with the rifle I bought and where I bought it.

    Things I liked:

I like the semi-auto ,the wood stock, and the trigger is ok for me any ways ,

    Things I would have changed:

Like many have said a way the cocking bolt could stay open to load the magazine, its heavy but im in a wheel chair and i bench shoot so its not a problem for me, make cocking a little easier its hard to cock,

    What others should know:

I greased the Detent Ball and now its so easy to cock, before i was pulling it all the way back till it wouldnt any more, but now i learned its just a quick pull and its cocked,i have two shooting ranges ,one at 40 feet and the other at 60 feet, i have all kinds of different targets to shoot at, also my accuracy is all over the place, seen youtube videos where they shoot right on target ,it is so much fun to shoot i have 9 magazines,my only real complaint is that it shoots all over the place. But let me tell you i get all my guns from PA and i have bought a lot from them but if you dont have alot of money like me ,they finance thru AFFIRM fINANCE FROM 3months to 12 months ,i usally go 12 months but pay it off earlier.

    Things I liked:

High Shot Count, Wood Stock with adjustable cheek riser, shrouded barrel, Foster Fill, Manual Safety

    Things I would have changed:

Needs to be able to HOLD OPEN THE BOLT!! How are you supposed to clean, or replace the breech oring if you can't hold open the bolt? Requires three hands to load, one to hold back the charging handle, one to insert the magazine, and one to HOLD THE RIFLE! Get a bipod, you will need one! Get extra orings, if you fire the 11th time on an empty magazine, you will blow the oring out of the breech 1 out of 5 times.

    What others should know:

Cheek RIser cut out is unsanded, you can still see the saw tooth marks. Trigger is OK, not great. Accuracy is OK (3/4" @ 25 yds, 1.5" @ 50 yrd) 875 FPS for 60 shots 14.3g CHP. After 1500 shots the trigger stopped resetting, The sear needed to be polished. After 500 shots the charging handle started to stick, needed to be worked on with a dremel, it was out of spec.

I like the concept, the look. Looks real too.

    Things I would have changed:

Could be lighter, would be nice if there weren't scratches on the stock or marks on the barrel. Maybe after I send it back to the factory for them to repair whatever it's causing the charging handle not to close all the way then I could tell you about accuracy and such.

    What others should know:

Really disappointed, I thought that I was paying for higher quality since I paid more. Not to mention Pyramid Air, was not helpful in the purchasing.

    Things I liked:

The accuracy is excellent. As great as my F&T Marauder with Lothar Walther Match barrel. I love the quick follow up shots. Accurate out to 40 yards so far. The fit and finish are very good. I purchased my SAM when PA had 11% off Black Friday sale!

    Things I would have changed:

Make it so the bolt, charging handle can be locked back when inserting the mag. Checkering around the pistol grip would also be nice. Have an optional premium wood stock or synthetic stock available.

    What others should know:

The hardest thing is loading the mag. Easiest way is sitting down. Pull the charging handle all the way back until gun cocks and load mag while keeping handle back. Release handle and push in forward assist button above charging handle. Make sure gun cocks when pulling back charging handle. If you don't and gun doesn't fire, pull charging handle back again until it cocks and remove mag. If you don't, chances are a double load will result. This happened to me a couple times. My SAM loves JSB pellets and Crosman Premiers are good too. Surprise so far is it likes Predator GTOs, but doesn't care for H&Ns to much. Only have three to four hundred shots through gun, so more shot testing needed. This rifle is a blast to shoot!

    Things I liked:

Excellent accuracy with dime sized groupings at 50 yards. The semiautomatic function, allows you to keep your eye in the scope as you send 10 shots at the target. Incredible fun to shoot and you will go through lots of pellets quickly with that rapid fire capability. The picatinny rail on top is easy to find many brands and heights of scope rings for mounting. I was able to use a swivel mount bipod by Caldwell that works very well (apply screw thread liquid to keep from loosening). Its a heavy rifle and you will want a bipod and / or a sling to carry. Has 2 swivels for easy connection of a Benjamin or other brand sling.

    Things I would have changed:

Would be nice if the charging handle stayed back so you could insert the magazine with one hand.

    What others should know:

Don't make my mistake. If you get a pellet stuck in the barrel (rare once you find a reliable pellet brand and weight) be sure to follow the instructions and UNCOCK THE TRIGGER BEFORE YOU STICK A ROD DOWN THE BARRELL. The one time I did not do this, I pushed a pellet back into the action and it got wedged in the charger action preventing it from moving fully forward. I had to send the rifle into Crosman who repaired the rifle (2 weeks old) at no cost to me. Crosman did not send me any updates (away x 2 weeks) during repair or notice that they were sending it back .... this is out of the control of PA. Only had 1 jam since then when i tried using Diablo Jumbo Monsters from the test pack - I don't recommend them for this gun = too heavy. No problems with any pellets in the 15 (+/- 2) grain range! For the jam, note that I decocked the gun, gently tapped with a jewelers hammer on to the end of a short rod held against the flat side of magazine and the stuck pellet split easily!

    Things I liked:

Rifle feels solid and shoots nice. Very consistent and accurate shots with no mods.

    Things I would have changed:

Benjamin should step up quality control. When you send a a paper target with 5 tightly grouped shots and the the rifle is leaking air faster than I can pump it in I find it hard to believe those shots were taken from the rifle I received. I found a torn oring and a strand of poorly placed teflon tape. After I replaced the oring and cleaned the tape out of the threads it sealed up and shot nice.

    What others should know:

Don't waste time and money on a hand pump. Just get an electric and be done.

    Things I liked:

It is a very nice air rifle and the first Semi-auto that I have been able to afford. (That actually loads a pellet into the barrel - not a revolver) I like it and it works well now that I know how to get it started. See Helpful hints. I am waiting for Crosman to provide more details on how it works and parts (Or some intrepid You Tuber)

    Things I would have changed:

Yes, for target shooting or hunting there are improvements that could be made. And an AR-15 version would be great!

    What others should know:

Helpful Hints for when you get this semi-auto rifle (So you will not jam it up completely - do not ask how I know!) You can pressurize it and dry fire (no pellet) it without the magazine in place. Do that (safely) a couple of times. That will show you the trigger and more importantly it will show you what the Cocking T handle feels like when the Bolt is all the way forward and seated in the O ring. I.e. it doesnt want to come back at all (it is just stuck a little and then there is some spring pressure) When you put the magazine in and release the T handle and push the Forward Assist (which is the button on the back just above the T handle - all it does is push on the back of the bolt spring - not like your M16) Check to see that the T handle feels the same way. Do not pull it back more than a little or you will load a second pellet (this in not good. Remove the magazine and use cleaning rod to remove the 2 pellets.) If your not sure: Load a magazine and push out all but 2 pellets.

It dry-fires a few times before the first pellet is shot. The accuracy is not better than my $164 Gamo Swarm Maxxim. Not good at all.

This purchase has cost a lot of trouble to me. I bitterly, deeply regret.

    Things I liked:

    Semi-Auto. Stock.

    Things I would have changed:

Jams a lot. I have 14 magazines and maybe some are sticky, but I've (once) gone through 5 magazines with no jams, and when I was trying to Chrono it it jammed at least every other mag. Very disappointed. Doesn't group as close as the non SAM regulated Mood.

    What others should know:

First bad review I've ever given. I have many Mararuders (.25's, .22's, etc.) never a bad word. Was excited to get this. Lot's of jams. Tried loosening the screw on a few of the magazines just a tiny bit. Didn't seem to help.

    Things I liked:

First and foremost is the semi-automatic action. This air gun is just awesome. The action is smooth and quick and never has failed to load yet. Without the recoil you can keep shooting into the same hole over and over again. The accuracy is spot on at about 5/8" at 50 yards on the bench. Spare magazines are now available and you will need them. The fit and finish is excellent and better yet it is American-made (I think).

    Things I would have changed:

This is a toss up between a crisper trigger or the bolt locking back when the magazine is empty. Or for that matter, some kind of mechanism to lock the bolt back. The trigger pull in the second stage is really long. This is not a match trigger. For hunting, however, you get used to it pretty quickly. I would like to see this with a Lothar-Walther barrel.

    What others should know:

You have to add some quality glass on top and a DonnyFL Sumo to the front to quiet it down a bit more. Varmint Hunter Hobbyist is the first YouTube channel that I've seen that uses the SAM Marauder to grease rats.

    Things I liked:

somewhat accurate, decent fit and finish, sling studs, baffles in shroud are good. has a threaded shroud so a mod can be added but mine clipped.

    Things I would have changed:

WAY too heavy, WAY too long of a trigger pull, plain Jane stock, only one mag, loud on the back end due to cycling, terrible instructions- (too small of type), no checkering on pistol grip, stock is slippery. safety position is awful and too close to trigger. had difficulty loading mag at first and understanding loading process which involves "charging handle" and also "forward assist"

    What others should know:

It would be nice of Crosman would have printed instructions you didn't need a magnifying glass to read and I have 20/15 vision, D-, so the gun is heavy C-, it sounds loud from shooters perspective, it only comes with one mag C-, the mod clipped so I removed it and accuracy came back which was good with 18.1 FX pellets and Crosman 14.3s, no checkering on pistol grip and the stock is slippery C-, Weaver rails suck as they have sharp edges and don't have the adjustment that a dove tail has C-, trigger is a mile long with minimal adjustment C-, safety design is too sharp of an angle towards trigger so its hard to remove and should have been like the original and is too close to the trigger D, trigger itself is a flat blade and should have been upgraded or knurled - D, Crosman wont call me back F, want to add a mod and an air tube extension and decrease the mile-long trigger pull, have not hunted with it yet as im still testing, watch Donny on Baker air guns for loading mag instructions.

I am sure that in the future modifications for weight will be dealt with. It is heavy for a hunting rifle. I use mine to hunt with it is a lug in the woods.

    Things I liked:

Just got the weapon home, put a Sig Sauer red dot sight on it, it was heaven on earth. I took it home, replaced the sight with a very low to the picatinney rail Buris red dot, and sighted it in with 5 three shot one hole groups. Finished up the rout of the range with 40 kills on 22, 9mm and 45 ACP cases. This is the finest training weapon I've held in the last 50 years! My plan is to use it teaching the nurses I work with the finer art of Rapid Fire shooting without the fears of recoil or loud noises. One hole groups at 60 feet, are so easy it's like I'm 20 years old again. Can't miss if you purchase this air gun! I'm going to sell a couple powder burns and get three more for the lady's at work to practice with. Lol.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, it just gets smoother with each clip. They only send one clip with the gun, thats truly a sin! Back ordered five, just got five more from Pyramyd Air straight from God to my gun.

    What others should know:

Shot a full Scuba tank, not one problem. If you don't own one of these Mauraders you are likely to miss one of the true pleasures of the shooting world, an I'm a World Champion ( MULTIPLE TIMES).
