Things I liked:

This rifle is absolutely outstanding! I purchased the .357 and just got to fire it today. At 50 yards (the longest range in my area) I was able to hit THE SAME HOLE OVER AND OVER!!! Phenomenal! Not only that but this rifle is a crowd pleaser; it drew good attention and people were interested in what it was at the range and amazed by its power and accuracy. I would recommend, however, taking it to the range if you do not have a lot of land as it can be rather loud and is dangerous due the he fps and caliber options.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing.

What others should know:

I would recommend a scope; I purchase a UTG 3-12x43 SWAT scope which is perfect for this rifle. I may also recommend a bi-pod, but that is just my preference.

Things I liked:

The looks, that's about it.

Things I would have changed:

The magazine is just a total mess. Plastic, cheap feel, doesn't load longer pellets. The grip is also very cheap feeling. Also the safety is backwards. For this kind of money you'd expect higher quality. Probe style! Quick connect would be nice.

What others should know:

If you want a cool looking gun ,buy this. Other than than that, save your money. I love my dragon claw and my Hatsan BT65 and they were 35% cheaper.

Don't use 185 grain Air Venturi hollow points in, they jam. Like a dummy I purchased 800 of these so I have a lot of jams ahead of me....

    Things I liked:

The appearance of my .50 cal Sniper is awesome since I did add a varity of options like a 1000 lumens light, red dot laser, scope, bipod, a M-60 carry handle, bi-pod and a .50 cal dummy mag.

    Things I would have changed:

The price. It's not cheap. Also, more kit remodels for this rifle like a butt stock change-out (M-249 or something simular look alike) and a fore arm upgrade.

    What others should know:

I first used so far a 185 grain hollow point pellet. I don't know if it was the dia. of the pellet or the side lever, but when pushing the lever forward to seat the pellet within the breech it was a little difficult. It dragged a little bit. Maybe the will resolve itself on it's own after a few more round through it.

    Things I liked:

I love the look, I just got my gun today with 2 day air, I am in love with this gun. I took it to the gun to the range, after 30 shot I was amazed at the spread, every once in a while it will fly to Europe, but the most part with a 1" spread @ 50 yards did great. I was going to zero it in at 100 yards, but the rain came. the gun came with 2 mags, and the air fill tip...I was getting 12 shot a tank, not bad since it only takes one to do the job... I shot a 2 x 4 stud threaded pass thought without a problem @ 20 yards... I am very sure I can kill a hog at 50,95 yards with out a problem. if you able get the tactical bi-pod, 50 bucks but worth it. the scope I have on it is the weaver kaspa series scope tactical ballistic about 230 but a great scope for a great gun.

    Things I would have changed:

right now nothing, maybe longer ammo, will be good.

    What others should know:

it is loud, the impact is amazing, the gun range was asking a lot of ? about the gun, it not a heavy gun, but walking 1 mile get a tact bag 80 dollars, and a sling, open end one work great.

    Things I liked:

Nicely built for the price point. Definitely has the knock down power in .357

    Things I would have changed:

Needs significant work on quieting the gun down". Very loud. I purchased the newly available evanix shroud/moderator at the same time - still bloody loud. Needs a regulator. FPS falls significantly with each subsequent shot.

    What others should know:

Lots of power and difficult to shoot due to very heavy trigger pull, muzzle flip, and recoil. Will take a lot of practice. Most difficult gun to shoot iof my 7 PCPs and 6 springers. I do not expect to shoot this gun well beyond 60 yards. Even with lots of practice. Shoots close to 130 FPE with JSB 81g. I've had this now for two weeks and about 100 rounds- not convinced I made a good purchase. It will definitely knock down most anything you shoot...if you can hit it.

    Things I liked:

This is a serious weapon, I'm a big guy (6'2" 280lbs) with big hands. This thing is heavy especially once you add a scope or any other accessories. If you're going to use this to hunt, a sling would be a must. That said, if you know what you're getting ahead of time, this thing will not disappoint. Its extremely powerful, yet smooth and consistent to operate. Throw a laser sight and a flashlight on and you've also got a very capable home defense weapon.

    Things I would have changed:

Given the low pressures (compared to firearms) I'd love to see an elite model of this gun with different alloys used to lighten this thing up. I might be the exception, but I'd pay significantly more money for a version made of light weight alloys if you could cut the weight by 30-50%. Also, a spring loaded mag capable of holding 12-18 rounds would be a nice accessory since the 200 bar fill limit allows for 12 effective long range shots and 18 close range with reasonable deadly force. Not sure if mine was assembled improperly, but the safety is oriented backwards. Normally, red means kill. But red on mine is safety on. Seems like a really dangerous place to make a mistake.

    What others should know:

If this is your first high powered air-rifle, do not make the mistake of failing to respect this weapon. The energy this weapon is producing is about equivalent to a 9mm handgun. Over penetration is a legitimate concern when target shooting. I live at a large property on a lake. Shooting at the water will produce skipped rounds that will travel for 50-75 yards before coming to rest and this is after shooting from about a 100 yard distance. I've put a round through and through a 6-8" diameter tree at 10 yards. Know what is beyond what you are shooting at. Lastly, be very careful when choosing scope rings. The first set I got allowed for too much clearance over the mag and it couldn't be properly sighted in. Lastly, while I think wearing ears is an over precaution for this weapon it is loud. Not quite as loud as an unsuppressed .22, but if you have neighbors that are close by, you will likely get a visit from your local authorities to find out if you're discharging a firearm.

    Things I liked:

Gun looks cool. Plenty of space for accessories.

    Things I would have changed:

The "10 for $10" should cover everything in the box. Haven't been able to shoot it because the probe doesn't fit properly. Now I have to wait for a replacement probe that is on backorder. If it was checked before sent, I would be able to rate the accuracy.

    What others should know:

Gun is heavy. About the weight of an M1 Garand. Definitely to be shot from a supported position.

Unbelievable power, accuracy, construction, quality, ease of use

    Things I would have changed:

Buttpad comes off stock easily. Glue it on.

    What others should know:

This rifle has amazing power. On a full fill, mine shoot clean through a 2X4 and 3/4 of the way through a 2nd 2x4 with a JSB pellet. This thing is no joke. Mine chrony'd at 865FPS with the 78grn JSB's. Accuracy is good netting under an inch at 50yds. It's not quiet however. Sounds almost as loud as a 22LR. Probably not good for backyard plinking in the city. I get 10 shots over 700FPS on one fill. Stock up on pellets and extra mags when you buy one. You'll go through a ton. Overall I'm very impressed with this rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Larger air reserve and easier way to tune it.

    What others should know:

This gun is accurate as heck. out of the box and sighting in the scope with 5 shots I was shooting 1" groups on a windy day at 25 yards. I was able to 14 shots through one ragged 1" hole at 50 yards. I love this rifle. Time to take some hogs. I had someone print me up a single shot tray for it so I can use longer rounds.

    Things I liked:

I bought the .45 caliber. Nice balance and smooth action. Really looks kewl and is very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Include the 2nd magazine at no cost like the smaller caliber Snipers. Make the mag long enough to accept a larger variety of pellets and more power would be nice so you can shoot the heavier pellets. Iron sights would be a plus.

    What others should know:

Have the techs at PA check your new gun very carefully before shipment because I have sent two of them back with air leaking problems. It seems that some part of the air system was not tightened thoroughly at the factory. That may have been the case for just that one lot, but a $10 tech check is recommended.

    Things I liked:

I purchased the .45 caliber. Overall balance of the rifle is excellent. Accuracy is excellent. Power is sufficient for deer size game. The action is smooth and the mags function flawlessly. I'm extremely pleased with this gun. Way to go Evanix!

    Things I would have changed:

A bit more power to handle the heavier pellets (225 grain) would be nice, and the mag could be modified to accept longer pellets. Open sights are always a plus.

    What others should know:

I recommend paying the extra 10 bucks to have the techs go over your new Sniper before shipping it because I had to return two of them with air leak issues that may be inherent with this batch.

    Things I liked:

I bought the 45cal and everyone I've shown the gun to say it looks awesome. I like the the ergonomics of the grip and foregrip. The gun is really accurate. I went to a range and was shooting 1" 5 shot groups after only 18 shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Change the loading port to be bigger and beef up the guns bolt to receive longer and heavier the gun seems to be very limited on the pellets that can be used in the gun. 206 grains and .600"(15.24mm) being the limit for ammo is a big drawback. I was a gun maker and if the gun could accept the mag and the bigger pellets this gun would out sell all others. The trigger is a bit heavy even turned down. 14oz is ok. I would prefer something like 7oz. An adjustable hammer would be good to tune the gun to the weight of a the pellet and conditions would be good. turn down the air for plinking and turn up for hunting.

    What others should know:

If you want to hunt with this gun the pellet size is limited. The mag is nice but a bigger loading port would be better. The barrel is great and very accurate.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

I love the look and feel of this gun (9mm). I have several others, from Hatsan to Cricket. This one is unique and carries it's own on the range. I have to admit, after shooting this gun, shooting my .25 feels toyish. The weight and sound of a big bore is just very different than my .25s. I laughed when someone complained this gun was too loud to be backyard friendly. I was able to make holes in an old fire extinguisher at 55 yards, you should NOT be using this gun in a small backyard. If your yard is big enough to safely shoot this thing, it will be big enough that your neighbors won't hear it.

    Things I would have changed:

Some baffles would be nice, but I actually like the sound it makes when it shoots so it is not a deal breaker. Better rubber pad as others commented is a must. What I would love would be a magazine that would hold the longer heavier pellets.

    What others should know:

It is heavy, it is not a gun you shoot of the shoulder but more of a prone position. It is loud and not backyard friendly nor backyard safe. You can severely hurt someone. The biggest pellets I was able to shot were the Air Venturi 105 grain flat head. I really want to shoot the 127 grain round heads, I guess I will settle for single load on those.

  • Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

Just got this gun in a 9mm and it looks awesome. I'm still waiting for my scope rings and the scope itself is on back order. The gun is quite heavy and has no visible way of attaching a sling. Guess that'll be something us customers will have to figure out. Somewhat dissapointing that a gun of this price still uses the old, proven to be leaky, probes instead of a quick disconnect fitting. Both the hand pump and carbon fiber air tank offered by PA show the fill hoses with a quick disconnect fitting which unfortunately WILL NOT fit the Evanix probe, and since PA offers no way to complete your hookup, you the customer are once again left to fend for yourself.

    Things I would have changed:

The extended stock has a rubber sleeve that fits over the metal butt plate which falls off by merely bumping it. It's an item that will ultimately have to be epoxied into place, unless you plan on constantly replacing the one you will loose. Even though this gun has a shrouded barrel, there ARE NO baffels behind the muzzl brake, making this 9mm anything but quiet. This gun IS NOT backyard friendly.

    What others should know:

I ordered 4 boxes of 9mm Air Venturi pellets for this gun as recommended by PA, the 95gr.HP; the 115gr.HP; the 127gr.FP and the 127gr.RN. The ONLY pellet that fit the magazine was the 95gr.HP, all others were too long and WOULD NOT fit the magazine, meaning that it is too narrow. For anyone wanting to use this gun to hunt medium sized game, you have to fumble one pellet at a time into the loading port in order to use heavier pellets, and since no single-shot-tray is offered, the problem should be obvious, bad bang for your buck.I won't be able to comment on accuracy until I get my scope mounted, but that will follow. All in all a disappointing purchase.

    Things I liked:

Nice adjustability, seems to be getting more accurate the more I shoot it, thing is crazy heavy, I'm 210lbs and have no trouble lugging my 40lb 3yo around, but a trip into the woods on foot with this rifale and I'm tired...

    Things I would have changed:

Plastic grips could be nicer if wood to match cheek piece, safety has been problematic a few time, push it to fire and the gun fires without needing a trigger pull, might be a defect in mine, if it doesnt work itself out it might be going back. The rubber pad for the butt of the rifle falls off if you look at it too hard, very cheap flimsy rubber so it doesnt hold itself on worth a darn. The muzzle brake helps the sound a little, but mine was screwed on crooked, an easy fix but attests to lacking fit and finish.

    What others should know:

Rifle was shipped in a plain cardboard box with eggshell mattress glued to both sides. Gun was in a plastic bag with nothing to protect the barrel shroud or stock. This rifle has no form of sound reduction, it is quite loud, I'd put it between my talon and condor (not the ss forms) Not the neighborhood friendly bark I expected to be rated a 3 in loudness. The report can be heard as an echo bouncing back from the woods behind my house. I get 7 strong shots, after that POI starts dropping and groups grow both elevation and windage wise. first 7 shots group well though. This thing is extremely heavy, heaviest gun I own by a few lbs. Wife cant even hold it shouldered long enough to aquire the target (5,4" 135)
