Description
RoboCop would be jealous of this futuristic PCP, which has all the bells and whistles!
If hunting is your game, this rifle will do you proud. Shoot small- and medium-size pests who destroy your garden, dig up your plants or carry disease. Dispatch them comfortably with one shot, but know that backup shots are readily available with your repeater.
How does it shoot? Is it accurate? Is the repeating mechanism smooth as butter and quick to advance? Yes. Yes. And yes.
Sure, you want power. Sure you want a repeater. But none of that matters if you can't hit the side of a barn from the inside! Evanix guns have a reputation for accuracy, and the Tactical Sniper is no exception
This rifle delivers a hail of lead downrange exactly where you want it. With accuracy and smooth functioning already proven in the other Evanix repeaters, you cannot go wrong with this gun. It's ready to do your bidding.
Tech talk: The Evanix Tactical Sniper and the Evanix Rainstorm II rifles have the same valve, although the valve body sizes are slightly different. The actions are completely different. There are some small changes in the trigger, but the platform is the same. Evanix's ongoing tech improvements include better performance for the hammer weight, hammer spring and valve return spring.
Tech talk about the .45-caliber gun: The trigger-pull is 6 lbs., 11 oz. Our tech department got 12 usable shots per fill, which took the reservoir pressure from 3,000 psi down to 1,400 psi. The rifle has a different flash hider than the other Tactical Sniper calibers. It's 41" long, has 21.50" barrel and weighs 9 lbs.
Tech talk: The .50-caliber barrel has a 1:18 twist, a bore diameter of 12.6mm (.49606") and a groove depth of 0.06mm (.0023622047").

10 of 19 Evanix Tactical Sniper Air Rifle Reviews
I like the look and feel of the gun
Things I Would Have ChangedThe design of the valve body
What Others Should KnowI bought the .45 refurbished,i got the gun mounted my scope and flashlight, filled with air and it was leaking.sent it back it got repaired, got it back filled with air and ok.mounted my scope and flashlight, fired two mags and leaking air in same spot.sent it back for a refund, very disappointed.
This rifle is absolutely outstanding! I purchased the .357 and just got to fire it today. At 50 yards (the longest range in my area) I was able to hit THE SAME HOLE OVER AND OVER!!! Phenomenal! Not only that but this rifle is a crowd pleaser; it drew good attention and people were interested in what it was at the range and amazed by its power and accuracy. I would recommend, however, taking it to the range if you do not have a lot of land as it can be rather loud and is dangerous due the he fps and caliber options.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing.
What Others Should KnowI would recommend a scope; I purchase a UTG 3-12x43 SWAT scope which is perfect for this rifle. I may also recommend a bi-pod, but that is just my preference.
The appearance of my .50 cal Sniper is awesome since I did add a varity of options like a 1000 lumens light, red dot laser, scope, bipod, a M-60 carry handle, bi-pod and a .50 cal dummy mag.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe price. It's not cheap. Also, more kit remodels for this rifle like a butt stock change-out (M-249 or something simular look alike) and a fore arm upgrade.
What Others Should KnowI first used so far a 185 grain hollow point pellet. I don't know if it was the dia. of the pellet or the side lever, but when pushing the lever forward to seat the pellet within the breech it was a little difficult. It dragged a little bit. Maybe the will resolve itself on it's own after a few more round through it.
I love the look, I just got my gun today with 2 day air, I am in love with this gun. I took it to the gun to the range, after 30 shot I was amazed at the spread, every once in a while it will fly to Europe, but the most part with a 1" spread @ 50 yards did great. I was going to zero it in at 100 yards, but the rain came. the gun came with 2 mags, and the air fill tip...I was getting 12 shot a tank, not bad since it only takes one to do the job... I shot a 2 x 4 stud threaded pass thought without a problem @ 20 yards... I am very sure I can kill a hog at 50,95 yards with out a problem. if you able get the tactical bi-pod, 50 bucks but worth it. the scope I have on it is the weaver kaspa series scope tactical ballistic about 230 but a great scope for a great gun.
Things I Would Have Changedright now nothing, maybe longer ammo, will be good.
What Others Should Knowit is loud, the impact is amazing, the gun range was asking a lot of ? about the gun, it not a heavy gun, but walking 1 mile get a tact bag 80 dollars, and a sling, open end one work great.
Nicely built for the price point. Definitely has the knock down power in .357
Things I Would Have ChangedNeeds significant work on quieting the gun down". Very loud. I purchased the newly available evanix shroud/moderator at the same time - still bloody loud. Needs a regulator. FPS falls significantly with each subsequent shot.
What Others Should KnowLots of power and difficult to shoot due to very heavy trigger pull, muzzle flip, and recoil. Will take a lot of practice. Most difficult gun to shoot iof my 7 PCPs and 6 springers. I do not expect to shoot this gun well beyond 60 yards. Even with lots of practice. Shoots close to 130 FPE with JSB 81g. I've had this now for two weeks and about 100 rounds- not convinced I made a good purchase. It will definitely knock down most anything you shoot...if you can hit it.
The looks, that's about it.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe magazine is just a total mess. Plastic, cheap feel, doesn't load longer pellets. The grip is also very cheap feeling. Also the safety is backwards. For this kind of money you'd expect higher quality. Probe style! Quick connect would be nice.
What Others Should KnowIf you want a cool looking gun ,buy this. Other than than that, save your money. I love my dragon claw and my Hatsan BT65 and they were 35% cheaper.
Build quality-design-adjustability-shooting it.
Things I Would Have ChangedSling studs-Deeper clip for longer ammo.
What Others Should KnowThis gun is worth every penny spent and a welcome addition to collection.
This is a serious weapon, I'm a big guy (6'2" 280lbs) with big hands. This thing is heavy especially once you add a scope or any other accessories. If you're going to use this to hunt, a sling would be a must. That said, if you know what you're getting ahead of time, this thing will not disappoint. Its extremely powerful, yet smooth and consistent to operate. Throw a laser sight and a flashlight on and you've also got a very capable home defense weapon.
Things I Would Have ChangedGiven the low pressures (compared to firearms) I'd love to see an elite model of this gun with different alloys used to lighten this thing up. I might be the exception, but I'd pay significantly more money for a version made of light weight alloys if you could cut the weight by 30-50%. Also, a spring loaded mag capable of holding 12-18 rounds would be a nice accessory since the 200 bar fill limit allows for 12 effective long range shots and 18 close range with reasonable deadly force. Not sure if mine was assembled improperly, but the safety is oriented backwards. Normally, red means kill. But red on mine is safety on. Seems like a really dangerous place to make a mistake.
What Others Should KnowIf this is your first high powered air-rifle, do not make the mistake of failing to respect this weapon. The energy this weapon is producing is about equivalent to a 9mm handgun. Over penetration is a legitimate concern when target shooting. I live at a large property on a lake. Shooting at the water will produce skipped rounds that will travel for 50-75 yards before coming to rest and this is after shooting from about a 100 yard distance. I've put a round through and through a 6-8" diameter tree at 10 yards. Know what is beyond what you are shooting at.
Lastly, be very careful when choosing scope rings. The first set I got allowed for too much clearance over the mag and it couldn't be properly sighted in.
Lastly, while I think wearing ears is an over precaution for this weapon it is loud. Not quite as loud as an unsuppressed .22, but if you have neighbors that are close by, you will likely get a visit from your local authorities to find out if you're discharging a firearm.
Gun looks cool. Plenty of space for accessories.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe "10 for $10" should cover everything in the box. Haven't been able to shoot it because the probe doesn't fit properly. Now I have to wait for a replacement probe that is on backorder. If it was checked before sent, I would be able to rate the accuracy.
What Others Should KnowGun is heavy. About the weight of an M1 Garand. Definitely to be shot from a supported position.

Looks, adjustable rests, accuracy
Things I Would Have ChangedBetter butt pad
What Others Should KnowDon't use 185 grain Air Venturi hollow points in, they jam. Like a dummy I purchased 800 of these so I have a lot of jams ahead of me....
