Things I liked:

Very powerful for lightweight lead free pellets. They work great in my co2 pistol also in my nitro piston crosman.

Things I would have changed:

The price is high for 250, and you should sell larger packs.l

What others should know:

The plastic is very durable but about 30% of the time the metal round seperates from the plastic on impact even in my co2 pistol.

Things I liked:

Kudos to the German engineer(s) for thinking outside the Diablo paradigm! These may be the next generation pellets. I would like to chat and share design ideas with the engineer(s) at Excite.

Things I would have changed:

Molding an embedding barb(s) in the metallic body stem to help retain the sabot upon discharge

What others should know:

I had to change from Crossman's SSPs because they are no longer available in .177. That made choosing Excite's design a no-brainer. I tested them using my Beretta PX-4 Storm, a CO2 pistol. With the SSPs, a full CO2 charge will send 96 rounds effectively to a target at 10 meters. With the Excites, the first 48 flew down range brilliantly and with a high velocity crack. However, around round #80 the gun seemed to be out of power, rounds were not exiting the barrel reliably and strings of polypropylene ribbons were floating from the barrel when and if a round did exit. Upon routine cleaning I found the "problem" -- 4 rounds had stuck or seized in the barrel. Two of the rounds were complete sabot-metallic, the other 2 were simply the sabot. I am assuming here that these rounds require full CO2 pressure to be effective and reliable. As the pressure drops due to consumption, the metallic tends to separate from the sabot while inside the barrel. NOT RECOMMENDED, yet. Pics available.

Things I liked:

The extra long tube-shaped body is easy to hold for loading. It's not that difficult to tell by feel which end of the pellet is the tail end, as the tail has a nice sharp edge while the head feels rounded. So low-light loading would be excellent in combination with the easy to hold body of these things. Contents of tin show some very clean looking pellets. Lid of tin is sealed with tape. The plastic bodies make for a quiet pellet when carried in bulk, though this would best be done in a soft pouch and not in the tin

Things I would have changed:

Listed weight is not what I found. I have a powder balance with: 6, 5 ,4 ,3 ,2 ,1 , 0.5, and three 0.125 grain weights. So just a tiny bit of estimating was required, but it looks to me that these pellets are more like 5.6 grains +-0.01 out of the ten I tested The forward half of the plastic section ought to have a longer band, in order to grab the rifling more The plastic would be much 'greener' if it could be claimed to be the biodegradable type. And I know there is airgun capable bio-plastics, just look at the airsoft offerings! Nice that I'm not polluting the environment with little pieces of lead, but what about all these little bits of plastic? - to the good, the plastic is a dark color, so it doesn't stand out as much like an airsoft round does My overall impression is that these are better suited for hunting, and so the head shape is completely wrong. I would like to see these with either the Terminator, or Red Scorpion running part of the body through the head

What others should know:

Pellet weight is much heavier than the Pyramydair specs claim. Listed here as 4.5 grains, I measured 5.6 Something about these pellets make them much louder when hitting cardboard as compared to a few other lead-free pellets. Possibly the plastic tube is acting like a resonator? Some of the holes in my paper target looked suspiciously large, like the pellet might have been tumbling? The Winchester Round Nose MVP for example, weighs 4.4 grains on my balance +-0.1, and seems much more accurate out of my stock barreled P17
