Umarex teamed up with the NRA to produce this special edition replica air pistol of the gun that won the lands west of the Mississippi. With a rugged flat black and weathered finish, the authentic feel and heft of this replica are apparent right out of the box. Its single-action firing is smooth and its functions are historically accurate as well as satisfying. A dark mock wood grip is emblazoned with the symbol of the NRA—an eagle clutching crossed rifles. Across the back of the handle is inscribed “…the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” A phrase that the NRA has taken to heart for over 100 years.

This pellet revolver has a nice feel in your hand very close to the original. The action is smooth, rigger pull is effortless, and has the distinctive clicks associated with a Single Action Army. I was very impressed by its accuracy. On a further note, everyone who tried it was also impressed by its realistic feel and overall performance.

Is this supposed to be a 'sort of' replica of the "Buntline Special" given as a gift to Wyatt Earp from Ned Buntline?
The 7.5 " barrel was thew US Cavalry model. The Buntline was a 10" barrel.

Aging of the metal is even throughout. The wood like grip is very authentic looking and the NRA coin very classy. Silver cartridges complement the gun. The inscription of our American right to bear arms very well done and readable. I will be proud to display this when not using it on the range.

What others should know:I already have another Peacemaker with a nickel finish and a shorter barrel with the pearl grips and was debating about buying another one but the NRA Peacemaker has a long barrel for targets at 20 ft to 30 ft. This one was the last one available and I am so glad it was available! Who knows if I will see it again!
