Things I liked: Mainly All Metal Nice and Heavy Realistic Appearance
Things I would have changed: Add a Metal Trigger and Hammer
What others should know: A well designed and mainly all metal repro of the real S&W pistol. Heavy weight gives it a realistic feel when shooting it. Good accuracy at 30 feet. Easy to open barrel to insert 8 shot mag also means that the barrel is easy to clean.
Things I liked: It is as heavy as the real 1911 military hand gun. It is 99% metal except for the trigger and the hammer. The hammer is fully functional like in a real gun. It feels like you are holding a real gun! It is very powerful. It gets about 480 FPS with round BB's and 430fps with Pellets. It's an overall nice gun/replica. It's not the most accurate gun out there but the realistic look of it really makes up for that. It's very hard to tell it is an air gun, even the barrel is the size of a real bullet and the smaller barrel is hidden within it. It can shoot 8 shots off as fast as you can pull the trigger. Makes a nice sound, it is powered with c02. It is alot of fun and definitely the most realistic pistol I have found! I live in Canada and we have all sorts of air pistols for sale but they are all PLASTIC, this one is METAL, full Zinc alloy! It could be used as a prop in a movie very easily because of how good it looks. Great gun! But is kind of expensive. It cost me about 200$ Canadian when I bought mine. I don't know if they make it anymore though. I bought this gun 5 years ago or more! It sure was a great gun! I would have bought it even if it was just a replica with no air gun capabilities, because it looks so nice! It even came with a carrying suitcase. It was fully padded inside and had a special cut out to place the gun in and came with a trigger lock.
Things I would have changed: The CO2 canister is hidden in the handle of the gun and the black part comes off when you have to put a new one in, and this part is always kind of loose. It's not a big deal and it doesnt fall off or anything like that but it would be nice if they found a way to make it so it was more solid. It would be really great if this gun also functioned as a "blow back" but it's okay even though it doesn't. I have the black metal version of this gun so I can't say anything about the nickel finish of this one. But I would assume it is the same as my c40 but silver colored and shiny instead of black and dull like mine. It looks very nice.
What others should know: This gun can jam with Gamo pellets! I use the Crosman pellets or beeman pellets only! I believe it can fire PELLETS and BB's but i'm not sure. I know for sure it fires PELLETS of .177 calibre. I'm almost 100% sure it can also shoot the round .177 calibre BB's. Great gun! IT's really nice to have a full metal replica of the 1911 Pistol. This gun uses the same action as the cheaper plastic Crosman models and has the same 430FPS rating. The only difference is the full metal body and amazing appearance!
