Things I liked:The quality workmanship of this gun is outstanding. Beatiful design, feel and weight to the gun. I haven't held the real thing, but everything that I have read online suggests that the two are very difficult to tell apart. (The real P88 Competition costs around $3,000!) It is, by far, the best made gun that I own. The only plastic pieces on this gun are the grips (and you can get those in wood if you prefer for a bit more $$$). The accuracy on this gun is also truly outstanding due to the 6 inch barrel. At 10 yds, I usually get 8-shot groups of less than one inch. Overall a very, very accurate pistol and a lot of fun for target practice. This gun is a testament to German design and workmanship. Things I would have changed:Perhaps the price, but if you want quality, I guess you have to pay for it. I also find the quality of the box that it comes in a little disappointing considering the price. The gun itself is stunning and I would not change a thing. What others should know:This Walther classic is more expensive than other Umarex pistols, but it is definitely worth the money. I consider the CP88 Competition an investment that will be passed on to my sons. Overall, highly, highly recommended!

Things I liked:Great gun! Love how it is put together and that it is almost all metal.. Very accurate at 10m. Like the fact that the mags are 8 shot, all metal and 2 come with the gun. I get 64 strong shots per 12g CO2 powerlet. Gun case that is included is very handy as you can keep all your things you need to shoot in it. Things I

Could use an adjustable trigger. Would like rubberized grips better than the plastic ones even though the plastic grips are high quality. What others should know:Keep the barrel clean! I seems to get less accurate fast as the barrel dirties up.I've been cleaning it after every 256 shots.I recommend the reloader and having at least 2 more packs of mags. 3 mags come in a pack and the reloader loads 7 mags. I plan on getting 2 more packs of mags so I'll have 14 mags so while I'm shooting my bud can relod and vice versa. This thig is a pellet eater. Shot 1500 rounds first day out! Last thing best pellets are RWS Diabolo Basic because of quality and price at less than 1cent a shot.

Like the extra barrel length of this model and the way the co2 fits completely inside the grip without having a screw on the bot. exterior of the grip frame, keeping the look more authentic. Accuracy is good once you get used to the stiff trigger. In warm weather I get around 80 shots before the velocity is noticibly down, pretty good. I have been using this gun for a little over a year, firing around 1000 rounds and have not had a single magazine indexing problem or pellet jamb. It's not cheap, but it is reliable, accurate and very well made. Things I would have changed:Because this is a pretty close match to the firearm there isn't a good way to mount a red dot scope or laser. PA does sell a scope mount that slides into the rear sight slot (you have to remove the rear sight), however after trying it I can't recomend it. It is all plastic and just not sturdy enough. The trigger is on the stiff side, esp. in dbl. action where the pull is much longer but the pull is very consistent from shot to shot and you do get used to it. The front sight is not removeable on this model (it may be on the 4" barrel version, not sure), would be nice if both sights were replaceable with good fiber optic sights. What others should know:I was able to mount an inexpensive Daisy laser sight to the front of the trigger guard with the remote switch stuck on the grip. I have just enough room to get my finger on the trigger without hitting the back of the laser mount. Although useless in bright sunlight, in shaded shooting areas or indoors I find it works pretty good. I can shoot better with it than with the standard iron sights. Just have to be careful not to bump it around too much.

It also gets shipped to you in a nice case that holds its accessories. Things I would have changed:Can't think of anything. I would have given a 5 for accuracy except for the trigger. Your own skill level will determine how accurate this pistol is. What others should know:After briefing myself with the manual on operation of this pistol, I loaded it up and fired 40 shots there was plenty of gas left in the cylinder. I only made one minor correction for windage. The pistol itself shot point of aim for elevation out of the box. The sights are pretty much what you would see on a service pistol (M9/92F) and the trigger is a little stiff.
