Aeon

With a huge magnification level and large objective lens, you’ll have no trouble putting shots on target with the Aeon 10-40x56 SF AO scope.

Sporting Aeon’s fully-multicoated lenses, this scope delivers superior clarity in low light and poor weather conditions.  Secured inside a shockproof, waterproof, and nitrogen purged 30mm tube, the 10-40x56 SF can stand up to the hardest recoils.  This version of this scope features a mil-dot reticle–an ideal system for fast range estimation in the field without the need of a rangefinder.

Things I liked:

Bought mine a few months ago after being very pleased with my 8-32x50. With a break in the weather, I had an opportunity to mount and sight in the 10-40x56 and am just as impressed with it as I was with 8-32. Crystal clear glass edge to edge. I have the Trajectory reticle and it's thin but still highly visible even in lower light. The turrets feel solid if a little stiff, but I'd rather have them stiff than loose. All in all, I think this is a hard scope to beat at 3x the price.

Things I would have changed:

Well, ATM the only negative is the lack of support should anything go awry with the scope. I guess that's the chance you take when you buy a closeout, but it does make me a little uneasy, especially since I now own two Aeon scopes.
