With Hawke scopes, you know you’re buying an optics platform with the clearest, most crisp image possible. This Sidewinder 30 model is sure to deliver some of the best image you’ll ever see looking down the tube—and an ability to see even the finest detail for quick sight acquisition.

The Hawke Sidewinder SR Pro scope has picture perfect clarity with an 18 layer, fully multi-coated glass. The 30mm scope offers high resolution images and a sharp picture in a variety of lighting conditions. The lens setup has been chosen to offer ultimate performance in low light conditions with excellent range finding properties. Its heavy-duty construction ensures you can use this scope on any firearm—even those with a hard recoil.

Each Sidewinder features open sniper style turrets calibrated to ¼ MOA per click, and a side focus Parallax from 10 yards to infinity. The etched glass, mil-dot reticle features 5 red and 5 green settings, or turn off the illumination for a traditional black reticle.

The fully multi-coated lenses are waterproof, shockproof, and nitrogen filled for the best possible light transmission.

This scope comes equipped with a large 4 side wheel to enhance range finding, a sunshade for bright conditions, and screw-in lens covers to protect the outer lenses.

Please note: If you plan to mount your Hawke Sport Optics rifle scope on a spring powered airgun, please choose a scope that features a 30mm tube chassis.

Things I liked:

It has a great reticle. I like the optic. Only issue is that it was broke upon receiving. The elevation turret would only move the reticle so far then the reticle would stop moving even though there was still two more revolutions remaining.

Things I would have changed:

Scope should be thoroughly tested before being sold. I feel like this one was not.

What others should know:

The scope is not bad at all. I am just really disappointed that mine is defective.

Things I liked:

First and foremost I LOVE the fact that both the Turrets and the Reticle are MOA! for the life of me I can't understand why scope makers mix the two totally different units of measurements (english/metric). Also the scope is solidly built in all areas.

Things I would have changed:

In my hunting I have the occasion to use quite a bit of hold under. The particular reticle I have only has 1 MOA of hold under. I was somewhat surprised that my Sidewinder picture is no clearer than my scopes costing half the price (UTF/Leapers). The model that I received (17211) has a very small area that shows when illuminating the reticle. It just lites up a very small + in the middle of the Reticle.

What others should know:

Be sure to review the Reticle options to insure you get the one you favor. Also recommend looking at a First Focal Plane scope instead of SFP if the cost is similar.
