Things I liked:

attractive .177 air rifle..quality workmanship for the price..good feel and fit (subjective)...very accurate with heavy pellets at 15 meters, but really made for slugs....

Things I would have changed:

loud...loud....selling with external moderator would be a plus!

What others should know:

I don't believe carbon fiber bottle is removable, looks to have threadlocker heavily applied....If you really want a slug gun, get a 22 cal or larger,... pellets are more widely available, I'm only partial to .177 tho'.

Things I liked:

It's a beautiful air rifle.

Things I would have changed:

If I could change the accuracy of this rifle,,, I would. I've tried 4 different pellets,, and about 3 different varieties of slugs.

What others should know:

From my research, to include consulting with other owners of this rifle,, you have a 50/50 chance of getting a Hatsan rifle that fires properly. I've purchased 2 Hatsan,,, and will never buy another.

Attractive, solid, powerful,(.177) likes heavy projectiles, high shot count.

    Things I would have changed:

Better quality control at Hatsan, several loose screws. Priced too high in my opinion.

Beautiful rifle with plenty of power.I like the fact that it's not regulated.Having a regulator just complicates things.I don't know why people like them

    Nothing

Buy one if you can afford it.There are cheaper ones bit you get what you pay for

    Things I liked:

Quality of the wood stock, the weight isn't too heavy, the high shot count, carbon fiber bottle, smooth adjustable trigger, threaded barrel, non-automatic safety, adjustable cheek rest, canting buttpad, side lever cocking, two magazines that are metal.

    Things I would have changed:

The plastic spacer for the buttpad adjustment. They should make that part aluminum because mine came over tightened and the locknut crushed the plastic making it impossible to slide the buttpad up and down. I had to use a heat gun to reshape the plastic in order to make the area the locknut rides in smooth again. They should spend some time and wax protect the wooden stock, I did it myself, but for this price point, it should have been done for me. Hatsan should also look into making a custom type airgun case for it.

    What others should know:

Don't over tighten the buttstock screw or the locknut will lock in place and you will not be able to move the buttpad up and down. My Neutron Star came with the hex bolt already over tightened creating this problem.

    Things I liked:

I bought this Neutron Star as a refurb from Hatsan USA, retired, disabled and a limited income. But for $599 I couldn't resist. I have an Air Arms Avenger that I really liked but I wanted more punch. Mine came in a well used box but the rifle looked new. My first shot, empty, I knew this rifle meant business. I don't have close neighbors so I like the crack it makes. I don't like killing animals but the groundhogs have holes drilled all over my yard. Four down and hope there's no more. I like the 10 shot mags in .25 cal, a spare in the stock. The walnut stock is beautiful. The lever works very well. Every rifle should work so well. I have a cheap Hatsan Optima scope, $75 that works very well. Why do some people need to spend $400 for a scope? I can get 80 shots on one fill, this is what sold me. I thought of buying a more powerful rifle, like a .357, but why?

    Things I would have changed:

It's a little heavy, my Flash and Avenger both weigh less than 7 pounds, the Star is about 9 pounds with scope.

    What others should know:

I wouldn't call it a "starter" rifle, but it is pricey. But I think it's a better rifle than most other .25 cal rifles. So if $850 isn't too much to spend you can't get any better than this NeutronStar. Maybe get lucky and get a refurb, like me. Great rifle.

    Things I liked:

Smooth cocking, very accurate, well balanced, that power wow I love it when that slug cracks an animal, the trigger. Ive shot plenty of small game with this gun at ease. Pigeons at 120yrds, gophers at 75yrds, raccoons chipmunks squirrels and crows with in 50. I use the fx 22 cal slugs. They are pricey but the expansion is amazing. The slug I pulled outta the raccoons heads were all fully expanded at 35yrds. Not sure why all the neg reviews but I do under sometimes you get a lemon. This is my 4th hatsan gun and my bt65 .30 needs to be looked at and hatsan USA has always returned my email. Sometimes you need to check your spam. Only gun that beats this in my opinion is the $3000 fx mkll thats my next baby, someone shot a pigeon at 325 yards .22 cal yup got my attention. Hope this helps but know where your slugs are hitting at each range before to get mad like a child and say its not accurate this gun rocks. I also put an athlon talo btr 4-14x44 FFP scope on it.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe an external adjustment for the hammer or a bundle package with a Donny FL suppressor but nothing really.

    What others should know:

This gun is loud like louder than a .22 rim fire BUT with under $200 you can get a Donny FL suppressor and she becomes quieter than a mouse fart. This gun very powerful so make so you have a very solid back stop, if using wood then it needs to be more than an inch thick. Ive shot 200 plus rounds outta mine and it still functions as it should.

    Beautiful plinker sturdy, durable

    Things I would have changed:

Need a regulator and lower price. Top Picatinny side grooves are too shallow for most rings, bottom Picatinny is too small an bipods are floppy. Side lever is stuff and rough.

    What others should know:

The wood stock is the only reason to pay too much for just an average air rifle. Forget about Hatsan and buy any FX, FX is worth the extra $

    Things I liked:

Appearance Fits me well Okay accurate (without regulator)

    Things I would have changed:

Needs regulator... Too expensive a for unregulated gun. Make the Picatinny rails of proper dimensions, the scope rail is oversized and the stock rail is undersized. The stock needs and a tool that would allow hammer spring adjustment with stock on.... They drilled the stock bottom for the rotation stopper, but the adjustment can't be made without taking off the stock because there's no grove to access hammer

    What others should know:

Too loud.. Must buy a regulator or don't fill the gun full... I adjusted the hammer spring for jsb 10.34gr @ 870-880 fps at 150-200bar. Then when I filled to a full @ 250bar the hammer spring could not over come the increasef pressure so the velocity fell to 612fps and slowly moved up 700fps and so on... Bottom line, unless you are turned on by the wood stock.... this gun needs $$$ a regulator, a suppressor and its also a pain to adjust. Just spend the extra money and buy a FX Dreamline or VP

    Things I liked:

    - Love the Turkish Walnut stock - the Quattro trigger is excellent! - Love the power of the .22 cal version - Shot capacity is excellent to be an unregulated airgun - Love the anti-double load technology as well

    Things I would have changed:

Can't think of much I would like to see changed - Cartridge loading on mine is a little stiff, but that's about it

    What others should know:

This .22 cal version IS NOT backyard friendly. It resembles a .22 long rifle when fired (I actually love that and will not add a suppressor)

    Things I liked:

This is one awesome gun. It has it all. Very accurate, massive shot count and very good power. Gokd trigger and light weight. And I say that as one that has been in airguns for 25 years with various brands and styles. Miney is in 25 cal. I am getting 48 ft. pounds and dime to quarter size grips at 40 and 50 yes with JSB 25.3o pellets. Love the looks of this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I would prefer the clips to be like the ones in the BT65 and AT44

    What others should know:

If you buy this gun you will not be disappointed, as I said has it all including I think it is the best looking pellet rifle out there now plus super accurate, power and high shot count.

    Things I liked:

While pyramid sales and service are awesome, the .22 was unavailable so I got thru Hatsanusa. Fantastic gun. Light for a hatsan, but still quite heavy. LOVES slugs. H&N 23gn .217 940fps 52yds. 5 shots, 3 holes cover em all with a dime. Loud, but the DonnyFL Tanto is perfect for this gun, although some material needs to be removed from the tanto thread, and the face of the hatsan adapter as the thread bottoms out in the moderator for it to fit flush. Only an appearance thing. Works fine without altering. Beautiful stock. Cocking is heavy, but acceptable.

    Things I would have changed:

While having the proper thread for the DonnyFL is great, undercutting the end of the thread, and making it shorter to allow the moderator to sit flush would be nice.

It's a very nice gun. All reviews seems very good. But what is the best caliber for this gun for shooting 100(+) yards? The .22 orthe .25? And do I understand correct that you can tune tghis gun to get more power? thx

    Things I would have changed:

I have a test rifle now in .25. But I'm not sure if I would go for the .22 or .25......

    What others should know:

magazine in difficult to put it in

    Things I liked:

Stock is very beautiful, and I like the carbon fiber bottle. Very attractive rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Regulator would really make this a sort after rifle. The cocking mechanism needs improving. An accurate barrel would be an improvement. Hatsan needs to increase the performance of the Nova Star's magazine.

    What others should know:

Cocking is horrible, sometimes it appears the cocking lever might break just trying to cock the gun. The hammer will not hold any adjustment, when adjusted it mysteriously changes after firing. It appears I lost the barrel lottery, my accuracy is poor. For such a great looking rifle the poor performance is such a major disappointment. The magazines perform poorly, I was sent a replacement but they don't work very well. No matter how great a rifle looks if it doesn't shoot well it really isn't worth keeping.

    Things I liked:

Looks beautiful, side lever cocking, magazine fed, walnut stock, carbon bottle, accuracy and FPE.

    Things I would have changed:

Make the magazine fit a little better (not so tight when sliding in the breech area). Offer it with a sound moderator/LDC.

    What others should know:

The gun is beautiful right out of the box and shoulders very good. Shot many different pellets good but JSB 18s are its favorite with 1/2 inch and under 12 shot groups at 50 yards (mine is a .22). Best fill pressure for this gun is 200 bar down to 100 bar for 84 shot with very little POI drop at 50 yards. This gun is loud and is by no means backyard friendly without a LDC/Moderator. Trigger feels heavy out of the box but adjust nicely after a few drop of oil in the trigger assembly.

    Things I liked:

Well built gun and the Beautiful stock is very adjustable for fit. Large capacity air tank is excellent.

    Things I would have changed:

Can not understand why they did not use the very simple and efficient magazine like on my Hatsan Gladius. Very happy with that gun too.

    What others should know:

We first used the Vortex supreme 22 pellets (14.66 grain) because they are what I understand (from forums) to be the pellets that Hatsan uses in spec and accuracy testing. We found the H&N Match 22 (22.14 grain)to give tighter groups at 25 yards. Have not tried it out at 50 yards or beyond yet. You will need a slightly elevated scope mount to clear the magazine.
