The Express is a Remington for the 21st century! From its sturdy hardwood stock, to its high power spring piston, this gun is an easy buy. The checkered stock gives you a great grip where you need it, and its raised cheekpiece provides a comfortable hold. Sight in the professionally mounted 4x32 scope, or remove it to use the fiber optic sights.
While most manufacturers quote their air gun velocities with super-light alloy pellets, Remington quotes them with lead pellets -- the same lead pellets you'll use in your own gun. You should be getting about the same velocities the manufacturer states.

I was really suprised by the high quality of this air rifle. For the money, it really cannot be beat for a break-barrel air rifle. I do not use scopes, so I did not mount it. The accuracy seems to be better than other air rifles I have tried. Just pointing the barrel without actually using the sights, I was able to hit my 6" target from 50' every time, without a single miss.
Things I would have changed:I would have preferred a .22 caliber option.
What others should know:Using a lighter pellet for higher velocity is not recommended. Heavier pellets will lower the muzzle velocity, but will provide higher impact energy to the target. Lighter pellets slown down faster than heavier pellets over the same distance.
