The great German heritage of the HW97K will give you winning performance for decades. Ideal for field target, metallic silhouettes, plinking and fun.
The HW97K is the carbine version of the HW97, which is the successor to the popular HW77 model. Made in Germany by Weihrauch, this underlever airgun has all the power and accuracy you'll need to shoot field target or knock down metallic silhouettes (.177 recommended) or hunt small critters and eliminate those pesky rodents around your yard (.22 highly recommended).
The hardwood Monte Carlo stock has a raised cheekpiece and checkered pistol grip and forearm. The rubber buttpad gives you additional control.
It comes without sights, so you must mount a scope. The 11mm grooves in the receiver make that a quick job. If you like the ease of shooting a spring-piston gun, then the HW97K should be your next airgun. Scope is not included!
Don't forget to pick up a variety of pellets, which are listed in the AMMO link. Several scopes have been suggested in our ACCESSORIES link, so pick one that works for the type of shooting you plan to do. Remember to also pick up some targets, cleaning gear and shooting glasses!

What others should know:I own many springers--TX200, HW 77, RWS 46, Webley Eclipse, so I know what I like--accuracy, reliability, high quality, durability, value, and high performance. My HW97KL has all these qualities. Length is 40.5 inches. Shot water balloons at 50 yards. Too easy. 60 yards, ho-hum. 70 yards, still popping 'em. Every shot with this beauty is like finding a $20 bill in a jacket pocket when you're down to you last buck. In the long run, my HW97KL is a much better value than less expensive guns. Weihrauch guns retain their value well. My like new HW35L is worth more now than what I paid for it in 1982. The power plant in my HW97KL is the same as the HW97s sold by
Pyramyd Air. Only the stock is different. My rifle loves RWS Superdomes.
