Things I liked:I love the strength of the gun. its very accurate. im pretty sure it can take down all kinds of small game even woodchucks. ive hunted squirrels and chipmunks with no problem, i've only shot from about 20 yards max but thats b/c of limitations of my yard. i'm a strong beleiver it will knock down targets out to 40 yards. ill have to try and get back to you on that one.
Things I would have changed:the only negative that i wasnt expecting is the metal must be cleaned after handling or rust will ocurr!!
What others should know:this gun is very reliable. it hasnt failed yet and ive owned it for 2 and a 1/2 years

Things I liked:Very powerful gun for a low price. accuracy is good. scope is ok quality. Good hunting gun.
Things I would have changed:breaking the barrel is hard, very loud, kicks like an elephant gun, scope mounts are awful, cheap plastic everywhere.
What others should know:replace the 2 piece scope mounts with a good one piece mount and it will stay sighted in. you do have to tighten the screws periodically though. this gun is fun to hunt with. i use beeman crow magnums and they are very accurate at up to 30 yards for a hollow point.

Things I liked:I loverf this rilfe, powerful, accurte in every since. I may have picked it up at a store, but I loved it
Things I would have changed:I would change the stop pin holes, scope, and the hollowed stock
What others should know:This was one of the best air rilfes I have used to date, it has out beat my Gamo any day. I wish they didn't dissconinted this rilfe, it was so nice and beautiful. Gave all my friends air guns a run for thier money.

Things I liked:pretty good power and somewhat accurate with original scope
Things I would have changed:it needs a one piece scope mount and scope because my reticle turned like 40 degrees now i shoot through an x
What others should know:put a solid scope mount on it the scope tends to bounce with the recoil and knock it off center. i bought a leapers bug buster scope and its very accurate to 35 yards putting 3 shots in a group the size of a quarter have owned it maybe 3 months now and have gotten about 10 squirrels with it using 10.5 grain hollows going to try some gamo red fire poly tip ammo for it hopefully it shoots a little faster and more accurately

Things I liked:Scope is realy nice but at the same time the fiber optic sites are very handy as well.
Things I would have changed:I would recommend making the stock lighter.

Things I liked:very accurate only with 10.5 grain ammo
Things I would have changed:most definitely solid scope mounts
What others should know:shot crosman destroyers through it and they were off by 5 inches a time at 35 yrds but definitely use a 10.5 grain magnum there the best i found

Things I liked:The raw performance and sheer punch on targets ! Out of box, managed to scope it with just mere 15 pellets Gamo Hunter !! Day 2 took 2 rabbits, pigeon and a Duck !! Amazing accuracy at 30+yrds ! Could hit a dime at 35+ yrds easily with Gamo Manums.
Things I would have changed:The stock, make a bit heavier so it balances out with the over all rifle weight. Add a dome on that front sight.
What others should know:This is definitely not a toy gun and cocking effort - you'll find it hard initially, 50-60 rounds through, the spring starts forgiving your effort !

Things I liked:This is a reallynice rifle. Was easy to sight in. Lots of power in this unit. Great bargain for the price.
Things I would have changed:Send some free pellets with the purchase of any rifle.........other than that ..... nothing
What others should know:This is no toy rifle.....use it accordingly. For the kids......supply adult supervision.

Things I liked:Looks and nice feel
Things I would have changed:Put the safety on the side or near the Trigger, having a scope makes a bit difficult for someone with big fingers.
What others should know:Guns sounds like a 22 rifle firing, has some kick also - I bought this for my wife, but she can't cock it, so guess its mine now. Overall - I love the gun, once the scope is set, you rarely miss your target.

Things I liked:This is truly a quality gun and is extremely powerful. Furthermore, the trigger pull is smooth, light and consistent. Apparently the 1000SB really has been improved and reviews I have read claiming a difficult trigger pull obviously do not apply to this gun. I zeroed the scope in at about 35 feet in six shots and kept every shot within about two inches thereafter. I have been trying to keep the squirrels out of our attic. Now the squirrels will be to busy trying to keep out of my cross hairs!
Things I would have changed:Nada, squat, Zip! They really got this one right!
What others should know:Make sure you put some blue "thread lock" on the scope mounting screws or it will come loose in about 10 shots!

Things I liked:I like the power of 1000 fps and the "crack" sound as the pellets go downrange well over the speed of sound! It's got a good weight and feel and the fiber optic front and rear sights makes an easy job of getting on target. I also like the thumb safety. And I like the Winchester name.
Things I would have changed:I would have put some sort of vibration absorbing filler in the stock.
What others should know:I thought the recoil wasn't that bad, it's really not bad at all. Sure it twangs a little when fired, but that's the nature of spring-air guns. It's a good, strong, accurate gun and well worth the price. Very powerful!

Things I liked:Really powerful, very accurate with Gamo domed tipped and PBA pellets, less than 2" at fifty feet, most within 3/4". Not too good with pointed pellets, I tried both Daisy and Beeman and the spreads had no consistency at all, none. Good feel when shooting, nice detailing on synthetic stock. Fun! Fun to shoot, fun to site in.
Things I would have changed:The scope mounts are set too low to be able to still use peep sights underneath with the scope installed. The metal finish requires oiling with every use, this can be a pain. The rear of the scope is slightly in the way of the safety when mounted at the rear of the groove where it is easiest to use.
What others should know:This gun is no toy, it is a powerful weapon. I am very pleased with the gun in almost all aspects. It is a great buy, and the relatively low price just makes it better (I paid $149). It is a little on the loud side, especially on the first few shots or if you pause for any length of time between shooting. I recommend this gun highly, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
