Things I liked: The size and look are very similar to the real firearm, although a much lighter weight. For me the grip is prefect with my large-sized, but not enormous, hands. The grip is highly textured...again like the real firearm... and points very naturally. I also prefer the longer reach to the trigger this pistol has which some others have mentioned and complained about. Pretty good CO2 efficiency.
Things I would have changed: It would be nice if it were a little heavier with an operating hammer. Even though this pistol points extremely well for me, it's not very accurate. I am comparing this to my other CO2 pistols for reference. This is quite typical for BB's, but compared to the HK45 I have (which shoots dead-on) and is similarly priced, this one shoots high and to the left in a rested position. It could just be this one example though. The only other slight improvement that would be nice would be to either spring-load the magazine or make the magazine a little heavier so it drops out by itself when the mag release is pressed. Obviously these improvements would increase the price.
What others should know: It's a cool, bad-ass looking air gun (the actual firearm is too) and a pretty good deal.
Things I liked: Nice little shooter, very good likeness to the real deal. Others have commented on the particulars, however, for an entry level air pistol it's really quite good.
Things I would have changed: Nothing - it is what it is and that's been done well.
What others should know: I bought this to mount in my T-A-C Converter and for that purpose it's an excellent fit and makes it a lot more fun.
Things I liked: Look, feel weight.
Things I would have changed: I would add blowback.
What others should know: This gun failed to feed with frequent use, the barrel wont separate the BB's anymore as it used to.
Is the magazine metal or plastic?
Some things I see online say this now has a metal slide. True?
This model from Umarex is mostly plastic, including the slide. (Which is non-functional; there is no blow-back action).
Can it be disassembled cleaned and reassembled
This model cannot be 'field stripped' in the usual sense, but you can partially disassemble it if need be. (See the 'customer images' for proof). There are YouTube videos that can show you how. Doing so may void your warranty, but if it's not operating correctly and out of warranty, so what? Despite being only a sub-fifty-dollar replica, it's fun to shoot, and surprisingly accurate at short distances.
