The R1 is one great air-rifle. Hunt small game with it all the time. I'd stick to the .20 cal or the .22 cal., it's just to much gun for the .177 cal. The R1/ Hw80 is a must for any airgun shooter to own.

Hi Jim - There are several quiet guns that you can choose from, it just depends what you want to use it for. If you go to our site and click the "Airguns" tab, there will be a sort section on the left hand side with the category "Loudness". Iv shot quite a few Beeman rifles (we call them weihrauch here) and i would say the air arms tx200 trigger is way, way nicer. Who are these people that say the record trigger is the best in the world? lol. Still though, very, very nice gun and the trigger is awesome, Im not sure what the R1 equates to in HW terms but i imagine it has the same trigger as the HW95 and 97? Good videos pal, iv only just discovered you :-]

What are you planning to hunt with the rifle? Are you considering spring-piston guns only? The reason I ask is because one of the most powerful production .22-caliber rifle made today is the AirForce Airguns Condor. In .22 caliber, it delivers over 60 foot-pounds of energy. Besides that, it is also incredibly accurate and will group 10 shots inside .75 inches at 50 yards. But the Condor is a precharged pneumatic (PCP). Thanks, Pyramyd Air Team

hello, I say that the Hatsan 135 is better than the RS3 Trigger Beeman and sniper Hatsan 125. There is another airgun power compared Hatsan 135, in the caliber .22? I can say the Walther Falcon Hunter, Gamo Hunter Extreme "the Beast", RWS Diana 34 6 Trigger, Ruger Air Magnum, Stoger Arms X50, there will be some of these that is more powerful than the Hatsan 135 in 22 cal?

Beeman was the importer of the Weihrauch air guns back in the day. These guns were then redesigned with a Beeman name. The Hw30s=R-7, Hw80=R-1 , Hw99s=R-6 and so on. Thanks, Pyramyd Air Team

If you search for this: PY-1828-3699 on our site you will find the Beeman Mach 12.5 .22 Cal. Both the Beeman Mach 12.5 .22 Cal and Hatsan 125 shoot at 1000 fps. The Hatsan 135 fps is a little more a 125o so it does have a little more power. Thanks, Pyramyd Air Team

I own a original Beeman R1 that has IRON SIGHTS.I really love this rifle.I don't understand why Beeman chose to ommit the iron sights from this fine rifle.I bought this one brand new in 1988.
