Are You Prepared for Anything?
Go from the most unprepared shooter to the one who has the tool for everything! Let’s dive into what I’m talking about and see if we can avoid that label again because who wants that?
From a pocket knife to a crossbow, anything that is not manufactured to be one solid piece may need some screws tightened and/or parts replaced once in a while, (at least I hope it’s just once in a while). Unless you check your equipment every time you take it out, you may wind up in the field with a malfunctioning pocket knife or crossbow.
It’d be improbable that one tool would fix it all, so do you enjoy carrying your toolbox around with you? If you’ve got the ABKT Ember Assisted Folding Knife there’s a couple allen screws on there that may need to be tightened, make sure you pack the Archery’s Allen Wrench.
Then there are these possible scenarios…
Oh but wait! When my Diamond Edge Max Compound Bow gets to go with me on another adventure and I arrive at my destination realizing I didn’t check my screws before I left, unless I have the appropriate tools we’re not adventuring today because somebody might get hurt! Why not, what’s a few loose screws? One word for ya bubba, DANGEROUS!
Oh no! I left my sharpened Grim Reaper Hades Broadheads on the table at home! Let’s just blame it on life’s many distractions because I can. I do have some backup broad heads, but they’re in need of sharpening. And that’s another tool I will need to pack in my tool box, the Thorn Broadhead Sharpener.
Are you kidding me! Now I need my nock wrench and a broadhead wrench, I don’t want to cut myself or take a chance of having a loose broadhead. Did you just ask me what’s the big deal? Did you think before you said that or the words just fell out of your mouth because I’m sure you do realize accuracy is dependent on stability? If I have a wobbly broadhead or nock, there’s a greater chance my arrow won’t come near my target.
Sherry!! You should always return a product borrowed the same way you got it because that’s the golden rule, or it should be! The cheek riser is way too high and because I don’t have the appropriate tools, my neck may be screaming at me later when I finish shooting my Excalibur Assassin Extreme.
Ah man! Now I can’t sight my crossbow in because the scope screws are loose and I’ve got no way to tighten them. If you know anything about shooting, you know those screws are crucial for accuracy.
No Bottle Opener!
My mouth is so dry I can barely finish writing this blog but I don’t have a bottle opener! That’s me being an ill equipped hunter. I hope there’s something in your toolbox.

Hunting Made Easy
Not a problem. It isn’t obvious. HME stands for Hunting Made Easy. They are a company that makes hunting tools and accessories.
The Bow Bully,
Here you are “preachin’ to the choir,” man!
My wife bought me an original Leatherman multi-tool over 30 years ago.
Sadly, I lost it, but was able to replace it with a used original (though they are becoming collectors’ items) for only $15; I bought it from the wife of a guy who said he “kept it in a drawer and never used it.”
I use it all the time, and I carry it everyday; I never use the knife blade on it; I keep it razor sharp just in case I need an extra blade; however, I have over 50 pocketknives, and rotate which one I use on a daily basis, but I always have that Leatherman multi-tool on me (I just keep in in my left pocket, under my wallet; the original is not that big…that’s why I like it!), and it has saved me a great deal of time on many jobs just by being there so that I didn’t need to stop working to find another tool. 🙂
Keep up the good work,
dave
Oh nice. Great illustration.
*thumbs up* 🙂
