The owner's manual shows you how to remove the barrel. Do NOT go any further than that. Do NOT remove the slide. There's a very long, narrow spring that will quickly, suddenly pop out. If you lose that spring, the gun will not function as intended. The importer does not carry replacement springs if you lose your spring.

Things I liked: I've owned a WWII P-38. I always wonder why I sold it since it was a very good, excellent condition, pistol. I like the fact that this particular blowback BB pistol is so accurately done. Heft, hand feel, and overall accuracy of the copy is really spot on with this pistol. I have the one with the working safety on the slide, and not part of the slide catch.
Things I would have changed: The trigger pull is a bit rough. I understand the situation with the blowback feature and how BBs are brought up to the chamber. For the blowback feature this is okay with me.
What others should know: Apparently the new models have incorporated the safety in the slide latch and put the letters "F" and "S" onto the grip itself. It looks "okay" but is as accurate as putting the safety where it is on the new PPK/S.
Things I liked: good hefty weight, reasonable accuracy, excellent copy of the original
Things I would have changed: gloss finish is somewhat not characteristic of the original as for the time period the finish was not gloss.
Things I liked: very realistic
Things I would have changed: co2 and bb's in a drop out mag.
Hey I was wondering if i can use plastic bbs for this, I have a match in a month and its ww11 themed and this would be perfect but I obviously cant use metal bbs/ pellets. Help?
Has anyone tried to get the ppks laser to fit on this? Looks like it just might work. Thoughts?
There is No rail to attach it , nor is there a pin at the base of the trigger guard that the PPK has ,,,
Do the grips have the simulated wood look as seen in the pictures or are they actually flat brown plastic as I've seen elsewhere?
It's more of a flat brown grip. Most P 38's I've seen have a flat black grip. The 2 tone look overall gives the weapon some character , but one could always spray paint it Black,,,
