Daisy's most popular air rifle! The 880 shoots both BBs and pellets, and it does so with amazing power. This multi-pump pneumatic sends ammo roaring downrange! BBs go up to 750 fps (Never shoot BBs at hard objects!), and pellets go up to 715 fps. You can adjust power and velocity by the number of pumps you put into the rifle (up to 10 pumps). The synthetic molded woodgrain Monte Carlo stock has a raised right-hand cheekpiece and checkering on the grip and forearm. The front sight is fiber optic, the rear sight is fully adjustable but is not fiber optic. For more accuracy, mount a scope, red dot or laser on the 11mm dovetails on the receiver (made of engineering resin).

It's a BB repeater (holds 50 BBs) and a single-shot pellet shooter. Take this rifle plinking, target shooting or if you just want to have fun! It's lightweight, so you can shoot for hours.

This rifle is so much fun to shoot, you'll run through pellets and BBs pretty quick. Click the AMMO link to stock up on ammo. Click the ACCESSORIES link to find fun targets and other shooting gear.

Things I liked: Very accurate (I use open sights only, no scope). Easy pumping. Quiet. Trigger pull is excellent. Bolt is easy to cycle. Quality item.

Things I would have changed: Nothing!

What others should know: I purchased a Crosman Legacy 1000 this spring and have enjoyed shooting it so far, but this 880 is superior in many ways: 1) My 880 is more accurate than my Legacy 1000 with open sights (I shoot lead pellets only). 2) Trigger pull on the 880 is vastly superior - not long and creepy at all. 3) Front sights are fiber optic on both rifles, but the Daisy's are smaller, which allows for more precision. 4) The bolt on the 880 is MUCH easier to cycle. 5) Pumping the 880 requires much less effort. 6) Pumping the 880 is a quiet process, whereas the Legacy 1000 creates a loud slapping sound with every pump. 7) The 880 is more quiet when it fires. I bet the neighbors don't know I'm outside shooting at all - except for the "ping" of the steel silhouettes! The Legacy 1000 is indeed more powerful, but in my case that is not a real advantage since I use my rifles for target shooting/plinking only. Each rifle only needs 3 pumps max to accurately knock down steel silhouettes at 10 meters

Things I liked: Very quiet and easy to pump. For plinking purposes three pumps is more than enough.

Things I would have changed: Larger BB hopper. Not as accurate as I had hoped with BBs. Just slightly less accurate than my daughters Red Ryder. Still can hit a quarter most of the time at 35' though.

What others should know: Safety can not be engaged until it is pumped and loaded with a projectile. I would think being able to engage the safety prior to the gun being ready to fire would be mandatory.

Things I liked: I really prefer a light rifle and this one is definitely light. This does NOT get harder to pump with each successive pump. Excellent for long, leisurely plinking sessions. I gave this 5 stars across the board because what you are getting for the price gives little room for complaint.

Things I would have changed: If I could ask for more, it would be nice to have more power and a better trigger and maybe an option of a lothar walther barrel like the Avanti. Maybe make it a multi-shot with a 10 round magazine, because loading a pellet is a little tedious. I would pay more for 11-12 ft lbs and a 2 pound trigger, but for this price I'm totally happy. If we did all that, it wouldn't be an 880 would it?

What others should know: I have a Leapers 3-9X32AO on mine and shoot RWS super-domes and I am shooting 12 oz plastic bottles at 50 yards with 8 pumps. It will hit the bottle every time. I like shooting plastic bottles because they make more noise when hit than cans do. You can do squirrels at 20 yards with it if you are up to it. If you get used to the trigger, this is a surprisingly good shooter.

  • Ernest from USA asked:

Do the H&N Excite Smart Shot 0.177 cal, 7.4 grain, copper plated LEAD BBs work in the Daisy 880?

    • David from USA:

Yes if you load them single, like pellets. Probably from feeder also as feeder works for lead round ball.

    • Stanley from USA:

No they would not work this rifle it has a magnetic tip on the bolt to hold the bb in place . They work best in guns with a spring loaded magazine or gravity feed.

  • Vince from USA asked:

Can i fix a scope on, if yes wich one in this website store?

    • Stanley from USA:

Yes a Daisy 4x rifle scope , comes with mounts. This one would work #PY-A-723 a Daisy 4x Scope......

  • Jon from USA asked:

What is the cocking effort on the 880?

    • David from USA:

Well pulling the bolt back (cocking) is only about 5 pounds effort. On the other hand PUMPING (NOT cocking) effort increases with the number of pumps, though is very easy.

    • Stanley from USA:

No cocking effort is listed only says 2 to 10 pumps. As the number of pumps increase it takes more effort. I have four of these and they are very easy to pump.I got my first one when i was 13 and had no issues pumping it.
