I was looking for a substitute for the Crossman .177 7.4 gr Wadcutter Pellets in 1250 count cartons that has been discontinued by Crossman when I stumbled across these pellets on Amazon. I did not realize that PA also carried these excellent pellets, so I ordered 8 tins from Amazon. Big mistake. See below. These pellets are almost too good to be true. They are an even better value than the Crossmans I used the most for plinking. They are top quality pellets and are amazing at grouping pellets on my home range at 7+ yards. I have found my substitute for the discontinued Crossman Wadcutter 1250 carton pellets. Try these. You won't be sorry.

Normally I buy a lot from Amazon. However, a word of warning. Do not buy pellets from Amazon. My order of 8 tins of pellets arrived with the 8 tins just thrown in a box with a thin sheet of bubble wrap covering the tins. Needless to say, all 8 tins were damaged in shipping with 4 of the 8 very badly damaged. I returned 4 of the tins to Amazon for credit and they reshipped replacements same day. Needless to say, the 4 replacements arrived in a single padded shipping envelope, with the tins unrestrained in the envelope. Also, needless to say, each tin was dented from banging around in the envelope. I was not surprised. Had I known PA was stocking the same pellets I would never have tried Amazon. Lesson learned. Saving shipping costs using Amazon in the long run, does not save money. Since you get 1 free on orders of 4 pellet tins, they are pretty close to free shipping. So PA is still the best deal in town on pellets, and their packing is Superb. Go with PA every time. They are Pros.

My Beeman P17 pistol loves these pellets. It puts multiple shots in the diameter of about a nickle at 10m (33') and does well at 50' too. I've looked a long time and so far these shoot the best for the pistol I own. I have not tried them in anything else, so my experience is limited to that.

Come cold weather I move to my cellar 10 meter range where I shoot .177 CO2's (Crosman Custom 2300, 2400 & QB78) and pumpers (Daisy 889 & Cros 2100). Wadcutters are definitely the best ammo for the indoor range and these H&N Excite 7.4's are excellent in all my guns... every bit the equal to much more expensive rounds used over the years.

these pellets are accurate in 90% of my 32 air guns you can'nt beat them for the price just received 24 tins as i do a lot of shooting

I would miss them if you do not carry them anymore, Unless Rhonda can get them for me!

The H&N Econ pellets became my favorite long ago because they shot best in my rifle.

Below are my 2 most recent chronograph strings, comparing the performances of 2 brands of pellets in the old FWB 300S:

5/16/2023: 99 shots Chronograph string. Average Velocity = 564 fps RSD= 2.6%, (SD=14.6 Fps) DASY PRECISION MAX

5/18/2023: 99 shots Chronograph string. Average Velocity = 621 fps RSD= 0.8%, (SD=5.2 Fps) H&N EXCITE ECON 2

My rifle started with 729250 shots for the DAISY and with 729700 shots for the H&N pellets.

I am a below average old shooter these days, but I was and remain a world class "bean counter"!
I believes in the several thousands of shots in my chronographs. I like any Relative Standard deviation below 1%.

Since July 2015 I have purchased 1048 tins of Excite pellets from my favorite dealer.
I am very grateful to Rhonda and to everybody in Customer Support at PA for all the help I received in all the years.

These pellets are uniform in size, weight and shape. They are seamless and have a polished appearance. For backyard plinking you cannot beat these. Oh, did I mention that they are inexpensive?

Because of the things I like these pellets tend to go out of stock.

If they are in stock buy a tin or two. You will not regret it.
