Yes the magazines feed flawlessly, howeveroading the magazines with the bb loader can be a challenge!! As far as the bb loader this is what I have learned. Only load 50 bbs into the loader. Only attempt to load 5 to 6 bbs at a time. The bbs will get jammed in the bb loader if you try to load more bbs than it can handle. Just as another reviewer said, loading is not bad once you get the hang of it.

The quality is very good as is the reliability, i purchased 2 additional mags as shooting with the 400E is so .... fun. using the speed loader can be a little frustrating but well

I have received the replacement loader. It does not work to the same standards as the rifle itself. I have tried multiple brands of bb's. All have worked flawlessly through the rifle, including copper ones. The issue I have is with the loader.
BB's do not flow through the loader smoothly. It has to be shaken and bumped to feed the plunger slot. When BB's fill up the plunger channel all the way, the plunger won't depress due to clog from the top bb. When the plunger channel only partially fills it will depress, just not smoothly. In trying to get bb's in the plunger channel it is awkward to keep the loader and magazine connected. Please advise me if there is a method to use the loader that I have not discovered. Thanks, Flip

No problem with mags. Load easaly once u get the hang of the speed loader. No missfires clean operation.

This is the only problem I have with the 400e. Hard to load, the loader sticks but eventually all works and I have a blast. A little bit of a pain though it doesn't stop the fun.

I bought a second mag so I could shoot longer and I'm happy with it . Great quality product,works well, I have a time getting 50 bbs in so usually only load 40 or a little more.Maybe it just needs to break in.

The 400e is truly a game-changer. Awesome quality too. The magazine/speed-loader combo really needs to be better for an air gun at this price and level of quality.

Looking forward to an improvement. Keep it simple. How about a tube and a funnel with a push-rod??

Hard loading and have not been able to get more than 36 bb's at best. Other than that, I like them.

I bought a second mag for my 400E and am very pleased with it. The only part you need to be careful with is the plastic follower, which, when protruding from the top of the mag, could be easily snapped off. It does require the Barra mag loader to load and I find it pretty finicky... but that's the loader, not the mag.

Almost entirely metal and very solid in construction. The performance of this item is perfect for the 400e. Ammo delivery is smooth and so far, jam free. I now have three (one came with the 400e) and they all work perfectly. The 4 star is due to the need to break these magazines in using the loader. The auto-loader takes some getting used to deliver a full 50 shot load. So far, it is taking me four or five attempts to fill the magazine to near capacity. It is getting easier each time, but is still cumbersome. The magazine snaps into the 400e with authority and does the job it was designed to do very well. Great job and solid construction makes this a great item to increase the flow of your shooting fun with the 400e without having to stop and reload. Snaps sharply into the rifle and does the job. Thanks, Barra, for the design but consider an alternative way to load besides the auto-loader.
