It is crucial to place the unit in the best possible outside lighting conditions as spoken of in the manual.

I was a bit leery spending the money for this chrono but my birthday is this week so I splurged. I'm very happy with it! It works flawlessly for me. The free Digital Link software for my 'Droid phone synched up easily (Bluetooth) and it was nice hearing the lady's voice calling out the speeds after each shot. I shot two mags through it from my Avenger .22 and it recorded every shot. You can go through the push-button menus on the front of the chrono if you don't want to use the phone app to see or edit results. It can record 9 different shot strings with up to 99 shots per string. Wow. I like the threaded tripod mount point on the bottom; I set it on a tripod with a slight downward tilt then did my testing from a standing position aiming at that downward angle into my pellet trap for safety. Used the light diffusers outdoors on a sunny day and had no issues at all. Love this!

Can't really think of a thing I'd change about this chrono... some have reported it "eats" 9V batteries. I haven't had it long enough to drain out the battery, but I turned it on, did my test firing, and then turned it back off again. I expect the battery I put in will last for many test sessions. It's probably a good idea to switch it off when you're changing guns, loading ammo, etc. and will be away from it for more than a few minutes. I don't do any firing indoors so I didn't need the optional lighting kit but you will want to get one of those if you're doing your chrono testing in your basement.

In the instruction manual it says the chronograph may have a problem seeing shiny ammo like BBs or certain shiny bullets or arrows. It recommends painting the tips of that ammo black! After reading that I was a little worried it would not see my Predator GTO lead-free pellets, as they're made out of some shiny tin alloy which is a lot more reflective than lead. As it turns out, they were no problem at all. Every shot was recorded. I shot two mags (20 shot string) and got 898 fps average, 5 fps std. deviation. High 905, Low 890. My "guess" at tuning the Avenger to get around 900 fps was right on! No outliers or missing data in the string. I am extremely pleased with this instrument and recommend it. Oh, yeah, and PA got it to me in three days, well-packed. Good job as always, PA!

I have used this several times since my purchase. Works great! Keeps record of shot string. Blue tooth connectivity was easy to follow and works well. Item arrived promptly.

lightweight came with light diffusers. Just turn it on ready to shoot. Once interfaced with the phone it tells you the speed of rounds. might be able to do more with it as different from the current chrono I use. Also has the 1/4" 20 TPI threads for mounting with a tripod. Has a battery storage compartment in the battery area for an extra battery. lots of buttons to play with and learn.

Interface instructions and instructions in general. Had to figure it out, though chrono was defective at first, could not link to my smartphone. Took about an hour or so and watched a video that was of little help. However, it's in the dropdown menu near the bottom under "OTHER" I think it was the one "ABOUT THIS APP". Also weight, it's a double-edged sword it is so lightweight there is a warning in the book about the wind blowing it over with the diffusers installed, I think a large caliber rifle or shotgun blast at 5-15 feet like they suggest is going to blow it over.

Feels cheap but most Chronos do. Found it for a better price after I had ordered it so shop around. Also if you going to use a powder burner I suggest getting/making a face shield or cover for the front to keep hot gases and unburnt powder from destroying the face. Might be able to turn it around and let it face the target to keep powder off the face, but don't know if it will mess with the accuracy of the unit or if it will work at all, I have not tried it, just a thought.

Easy to set up. Bluetooth worked with phone, table, or computer. Software download was easy and is very useful,

Ability to backup shot strings in the software so they can be recalled for later use without saving to a PDF file would be useful.

Get the light set for indoor use. works great.

Feature packed chrony. Chose this of the comparably caldwell....mainly for the Bluetooth feature.

Add a battery powered lighted sky screen option.

Have not had a chance to use this yet. Ordered it the same time as the hatsan bt big bore .30 cal. I was sent a used and scratched up air rifle, with a well worn tore up factory package(box). Had to send the hatsan bt big bore back for refund, because the auto safety did not function. Never fired a single shot thru it. I will never buy another hatsan. Ordered a benjamin bulldog the day I sent the hatsan back.

This was a great purchase to know that my air guns are shooting as they should and helps to verify any gun mods that I do to improve performance. Great tool at a reasonable price point.

Easy to use service manual. The wireless connection and the built in features are a PLUS.

I really like this chrony. It is easy to setup, Download the app and start shooting. I am by no means savoy in technology but this was a breeze. I have shot through it several times and like the way you can see the results on your phone. Also, to download results to laptop. Was going to spend $70.00 more for a FX, but this fits my needs perfectly. I have only gotten 2 errors in 200 shots. That was due to light conditions outside. Very happy with my purchase.

I have improved my guns performance greatly. Before getting this chrony, I was just guessing at how to improve performance. I have 5 airguns and have improved the performance of each gun. If you are serious about air gunning or just want to see what pellet might be best for your gun, a chrony like this is a must have. Good luck and Happy Shooting!!

Light weight and easy to use. Smart phone App is great for keeping records of all your shot lists.

The plus in light weight is also a draw back because it makes it fragile.

The optional lighting system works well for indoor shooting. It's a moderate priced chronograph that works.

I find this very effective & easy to use. I like to attach data & graph copies to my "development" targets used; (to determine the appropriate air pressure & power setting) for my PCP air-guns.

Maybe a more descriptive users manual. (of course I don't claim to be the "sharpest pencil-in-the-drawer"!)

I like to make copies of data to attach to my development targets & figured that I'd have to communicate with my desk-top computer, to print the appropriate copies. I found an effective short-cut, eliminating the computer, where I'd have deleted the copies anyway, after printing. I acquired a "pad", like it shows on the instruction manual & I place that, "face-down" on my computer printer & scan & print the copies. Whal - La; ~ no file to delete!

Bluetooth connectivity, live data display and voice-out of speeds. Even works with my cheap Walmart Straight Talk phone!

The housing and faceplate where the buttons are. Please make this more durable. It's already a very delicate instrument.

Get the light kit with it! I Chrono in my 18x24 garage all the time. Works great. This smokes the Caldwell unit through and through. It's very accurate and consistent. Used it a half dozen times already in one month.

This chrono is very easy to set up and works reliably. It has a good manual interface that makes it easy to delete strings. The available app is really nice to use. The blue tooth connection is quick and easy.

Nothing about the chrono itself. I wish the app would allow projectile weight to be entered to two decimal points. This would be good for use with airgun pellets.

The usual cautions about making sure your lighting conditions are optimum for this type of chronograph.

I had a few no-reads from shoorting from ths shade. I moved to a brighter spot and it solved it.

This is an amazing piece of equipment.It gives you lots of data to print out and you can even add pictures by using the remote app.

I have a square LED garage door light that I hang about four feet above chronie, Shut off any non LED lights in room Make sure you have no moving shadows IE tree branches thru window. This works perfect... no missed shots For $10 more this should be a no Brainer for you

Seems to do what it is supposed to do. I'm happy with the purchase so far. I like the blue tooth capability with this chronograph.
