Early access to the Bravo

I was offered to test the F2 Bravo in December with the only requirement being to write a review. I've had the blade for about 4-5 weeks now and its absolutely amazing. Its super slim and easy to carry in your jeans' pocket and shirt pocket. I have forgot that it even exists multiple times, probably because its so light (I haven't weighted it personally, but I am told its around 70gs). The opening is simple and quick, it has never failed thus far. I've grown a bit addicted to opening and closing the knife, it deff has a fidget factor. The blade has been impressive, and still keeps its edge. I use it mainly to open amazon boxes and other minor tasks so I am not sure how long the edge will last, but so far so good. I am overall satisfied with this knife and would recommend it.

    Great Gentleman's EDC

Love the forged ember option on this knife. Get a lot of questions / compliments about it. The knife is super sharp. Blade deployment is silky smooth. Fits well in my jeans pocket. Highly recommend as a great EDC.

    New knife

This is my second purchase from Tekto and I'm still very impressed with the quality and design of these pieces. My other knife is a OTF automatic and has been carried since I received it but this bravo is now my everyday carry. It was smooth as butter from the time I opened the box and is very light and comfortable to carry. The workmanship is unmatched to other blades I have purchased over the years and look forward to using these forever.

    F2 Bravo

Nice action. Blade has proper thickness for its size. A friend had a knife of similar style but longer, but not made as well.. and then i saw this. Sold. Definitely not a heavy use chisel nor meant to be

    Sharp, fine blade.

My husband asked for this for Father's Day. Cut himself right away… if that's a sign of sharpness or manliness idk? He said it's sharp, thin, amazing blade. He offered to buy me a knife too..

Just what I was looking for

A true pocketknife. Slim, but sturdy. Wickedly sharp. Smooth action. Can be opened and closed with one hand. Has become my everyday carry.

    My New EDC

Tekto makes great knives. This is my third and my new everyday carry. It came to me very sharp. Usually, I sharpen knives after I buy them because the blades rarely come as sharp as I prefer, but not the case with the F2 Bravo. It was razor sharp out of the box. It is lightweight and fits perfectly in the front pocket of my jeans. Deploying the blade is easy and fast. No complaints, just compliments! Awesome knife!

    Gentleman's Knife

This is a true gentleman's knife. It's light weight and sleek. I usually carry a spyder co, but was looking for something different. Love the look and the flip is smooth and easy. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it feels delicate. I almost feel like I'm going to break it if I use it. In my opinion, not a work horse knife, but definitely sexy. I'm thinking it would make a great groomsmen gift for my guys this year. Might be buying 3 more.

Best Knife I've ever had, and best looking!

Loved, Loved, Loved this knife. Local outfitter started selling this and had to have it! It was so popular among the people around me that someone stole it, so keep it close!

    Will be purchasing another soon!

    A Gentleman's Knife

If you want an everyday carry knife you will carry the F2 Bravo.

I live in Canada and use my folder or multitool multi times per week (in city life and the bush) as you can see. So I have some feedback based on real world repetitive use.

Before I state the PROS and CONS, I want to say the customer service at Tekto Knives is excellent; they'll work with you.

    CONS:

    • It's smaller and lighter than you think. My multitool blade is more robust. The F2 Bravo is lighter than my previous folder which is lighter than the multitool. I was hoping for an intermediary knife with a bit more weight, a bit more length with slightly less width and thickness than a regular folder.

    • The handle material is brittle. A three foot drop (slightly less than a metre) will damage the handle (see the corner). I'd wager a greater height or a drop with more force will actually break the handle. It's the first knife I've dropped the suffered damage.

    • Easy to drop when opening.

    PROS:

    • It's a gentleman's knife. It's smaller and lighter than you think. I'll carry this in the city.

    • I feel safe operating the knife with one hand because of the guard. I can easily open the knife and disengage the liner lock with one hand feeling confident I won't get cut.

    • It's one of the sharpest factory blades I've received.

    • Opening the blade is smooth.

    • It's small in the hand in a good way.

    • Deep clip.

    • The D2 steel work with the thin blade. The extra tensile strength make me feel confident in the blade's durability.

    • The drop point tip works for it.

    FEEDBACK:

    • The blade could be a centimetre or two (10-20mm) longer, half a centimetre (5mm) more in width and a couple millimetres thicker. Something between multiple and a regular folder.

    • If the width is increased the drop point could be slightly more aggressively similar to a modified drop point.

    • The clip would be better placed on the opposite end (where it pivots). This will mitigate dropping because the blade doesn't need to be rotated in the hand. This is especially important during high stress situation when a person only has gross motion function. Plus, most knives alright do this. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

    • The cross bar that braces the blade could probably be thicker. I don't feel safe using the knife for tougher tasks.

    • having the ability to move the clip to the other side would be a bonus.

    • The handle material is nice, colorful and light but I think it should be revisited. If it can't handle one drop, it's already too expensive.

Overall, I'm a fan. I like the knife. It's will be my new everyday carry. It really does feel like a gentleman's Knife.

    Keep up the great work!

It's part of my daily attire.

The F2 Bravo is nice slim smooth operating knife. It fits nicely in my pocket without hindering my hand accessing the other things in my pocket, money, keys etc. I like the blade shape and D2 steel both of which tend to make touching up the edge easy. It's a very well designed knife and classy looking as well.

    Initial Check

Just received this knife. Out of the box dull. Took a steel to it, didn't help. So pissed thought of returning it. Had many different brands of knives over the years NEVER had one so damn dull brand new. WTF? Bad / horrible quality control. Able to put an edge on it - now sharp as hell. We'll see how it holds up. Smooth operation. Am pissed about the Helen Keller sharpening method on this knife. Get it together or else you'll be out of business.

I've had the F@ Bravo for over a year and it has seen some heavy use but still looks and operates like new...very sharp edge!

    Really liked it!

    Slim and functional

In the ""Executive"" category, there is always a struggle between a slim carry and function. Despite being quite slim and easy to carry, this knife is nearly perfectly sized and a very functional daily carry.

Whatever they've done with the polished ceramic bearing thing works. My knife opens smoothly and easily, and one-handed opening took only a couple of tries to master.

    Perfect!

Only one caveat. I have to use both hands to activate the closure mechanism. I imagine it will loosen up with use though.
