    Things I liked:

When I first opened the box it looked very efficient and useful and it was very light weight to which I liked a lot. The easy mounting was nice too. Trigger pulled clean and pretty sharp too. And I mounted an Airforce 4-16x50 AO scope and got the bipod to. Both accessories are pretty good quality. The internal shroud seems to word pretty efficiently but not too great. It dampness the echo to about nothing but the hammer creates the most noise. And I do like how u can customize the gun with new caliber barrels and etc.

    Things I would have changed:

The butt pad is pretty uncomfortable even for a piece of plastic and I didn't like the pistol grip and forearm grips at all. Especially considering that the pistol grip was hollow inside was pretty terrible. And it took awhile to break the gun in which Crossman Premiers, I got about 2 inch groups at the beginning and narrowed it down to about 3/4 of an inch at 40 yards. So the accuracy was impressive to me after I broke it in.

    What others should know:

For the money I think this is a good investment for sure, with a good scope and bipod this gun can be a very good squirrel gun or anything up to coons up to about 30 yards. I would buy this gun over again if I could. Send it over to talontunes.com and they will fix it up real nice for you and turn this into your dream rifle.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy was my #1 priority and I was not dissapointed. This gun stacks pellets into the target at 20yrds. Its compact which is another nice feature for me since I wanted something small. The trigger is a 500% improvement over every single spring gun I own. The accessory rails are nice because I added a light/laser combo and it was super easy. Its quiet. I also own a GAMO whisper and this is definately quieter and with some simple modifications its goes a LOT quieter. Speed is excellent, with semi-heavy pellets it will kill small rodents at 40 yrds (since accuracy is so good you can cleanly shoot for the head) The instructional DVD is a nice feature. No recoil at all which was key because I am using this as practice for larger caliber powder firearms. Neighbors will never know what that sound is. The 4-16 scope is very sharp, accurate, easily installed and hasn't moved since I got it (a typical problem with spring scopes)

    Things I would have changed:

I would include some sort of buttstock extension that can be added to tank for taller people. I shoot a lot of powder firearms and I'm used to adding spacers to the butt pads but with this gun being so short, it would be nice if they included a few lightweight spacers that would allow users to tailor the LOP. I'm currently working on a home made version for myself.

    What others should know:

A good practice powder rifle gun since the trigger is crisp. Deadly accurate. SCUBA refill is by far the best way to go. Worth every penny. Definately get the high rings (or medium if you order the tri-rail) because you will likely need the extra room so your eye lines up well every time.

awesome gun for the money, especially in PCP guns, you can customize it in a variety of configurations

    Things I liked:

Very accurate for off-hand shooting due to its light weight...I've been shooting at 15 to 20 yards at a power setting of 6 \10. I have Pyr's chrony showing10 shots with 11.8 grain 22 caliber pellet at approximately 800fps. So, I'm very happy about the out-of-the-box power. I'm not sure how this gun will do beyond 20 yards...my rating on accuracy is up to 20 yards. From what I've been seeing on youtube and from other users this gun should be placing 1" groups at 30 yards without a problem. The muzzle report is not too loud thanks to the built-in shroud. Built-in 11 mm dovetail for the top rail. Versatility and the fact that there are MANY aftermarket sources for parts and tuning upgrades. General aesthetics and design of the gun are very exciting to me.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety catch seems and feels mechanically cheap. I do like the general presence of a two-stage trigger (but I can feel the spring through the trigger on the 1st and 2nd stage) so that could be improved a bit as well. The trigger guard, cocking lever and rear butt are a little on the cheap side in regards to materials used but all of it can easily be replaced/upgraded...and in my opinion the aftermarket parts are NOT expensive and readily available.

    What others should know:

Great value for the $$ spent. This gun can be easily modified in several different ways from buying a longer barrel (increase velocity) to smoothing the operation and polishing the valve (lots of aftermarket tuners out there). A versatile and unique gun made in the USA. You can easily use a CO2 air source with this gun and have 10x (ten times) more shots available over compressed air.

    Things I liked:

Made in the good old USA, and Texas to boot! An amazing airgun. Very well made. On par with my better firearms. Dead accurate. At 20 yards with AF 4x16 50 scope most of my first groups were under .25". This is the easiest loading airgun I have as the breach is wide open. Can cock and insert new pellet in under 1 second.

    Things I would have changed:

Safety is pretty loosey-goosey and requires hand be dedicated to un-safeing the weapon. Your shooting finger will not do it easily or reliably. By necessity, the scope has to sit high. This is because the butt-stock is inline with the breech and barrel and you need eye alignment. Would be nice if design change could be made to lower butt-stock in relation to rest of rifle.

    What others should know:

In part, because your scope has to sit so high, you will need to carefully learn how much to hold over/ under when sighting on a target. I sighted my Talon SS to hit center when holding over 1.5" at 10 yards, .5" at 20 yards, dead on at 30 yards, .5" low at 40 yards... Once you learn ranges and pellet flight, you can nail crows in the eye at 35 yards, or in the head at 50.

    NADA

    What others should know:

I have a Gamo Whisper VH cal177.. and it doesn't stand a chance against this monster!!! I prefer to use the 24" barrel instead of the 12" because of its power increase (even though that it is louder)........ Be ready to impress EVERYONE... every person in the shooting club I go to has already shot with it, and they can't believe that a pellet rifle achieves such a perfect Accuracy & Power!! Use good quality pellets only!! Such as Kodiaks, JSB, Eun Jins... My rifle HATED the Crossman Hollowpoints. GO FOR IT!!! it is a GREAT INVESTMENT!!!

    Things I liked:

The ability to mount accessories such as scope or red dot sights w/laser and light, and all inline with the rifle. Options of barrel lengths & calibers. Very, very accurate... the best i've seen.

    Things I would have changed:

An option to disengage 'auto-safety' for faster followup shots and stealthy hunting... clicking safety(off) is noisy. Air pressure gauge built-into the air tank would be useful.

    What others should know:

Convert this thing to a 24 inch barrel(.22) increases power...bigtime. With my ss barrel-swap to 24" w/ 21 gr.kodiak pellets, here's my chrono results @ power level #07 for thirty-five shots, in fps(feet per second); 1-936,2-952,3-964,4-969,5-944,6-954,7-944,8-944,9-929,10-909,11-928,12-940,13-924,14-913,15-925,16-910,17-931,18-935,19-938,20-927,21-921,22-penetrated 2x4,23-934,24-922,25-940,26-927,27-917,28-903,29-908,30-915,31-penetrated 2x4,32-915,33-906,34-883,35-874. Look closely at the numbers(fps)... that's not a 14-grain lightweight pellet. And yes, it really did easily go right through 2x4 wood after all those shots!!! Spring pistons can't measure up to PCP's.

    Things I liked:

Great accuracy! The ability to operate on HPA and CO2. Light weight. Compact size. The ability to shoot at different power levels with the turn of a wheel.

    Things I would have changed:

The pistol grip sides do not match up very well and cheapen the appearance of an other wise outstanding gun. It seems that Airforce could have the bad fit fixed if they wanted to!

    What others should know:

Plenty of power from the 12 inch barrel. This morning I shot two red squirrels on HPA at a power setting of eight. The JSB Pretators were both pass throughs at 25+ yards. Because of the no recoil and the low noise, I could both see and hear the pellets strike! Pretty cool!

Compact, accurate, modifiable and QUIET. Built like it will last a lifetime.

    Things I would have changed:

Include a more comfortable and adjustable butt plate.

    What others should know:

If you want higher fps and a heavier pellet and thus more fpe you can buy a longer barrel. But then it won't have the end cap to lessen the noise. If noise is not a problem then go for the 18" or 24" barrel that swaps out in about 5 minutes.

First of all, this rifle feels great in the hands. I'm having a blast shooting it offhand. I was going to get a bipod but I think I'll wait until I have a Condor. Accuracy is spot-on.

    Things I would have changed:

Safety is a little awkward for me.

    What others should know:

I keep this in the same case as my Benji CB9. Between the two of them I'm seriously thinking about ditching all my other pellet rifles. Yeah, I think I found the rifle (ok, rifles) that does it all.

Shows you can have BIG power and BIG accuracy in one fun gun. No more cocking and slamming recoil to throw off your shot. No longer use ANY of my RWS/Beemans-no need! Very quiet for the power.

    Things I would have changed:

Requested accessories would be a power indicator to go between tank and gun / curved shoulder piece/ rubber grip add on-Good to go out of the box, though!

    What others should know:

Prepare to have your dreams answered! Power needs to be respected-Pre-teens (and some older) use under adult supervision.

    Things I liked:

I think the rifle is very well thought out, and most of the final product is well executed. It's every bit as powerful and accurate as the advertising claims. Most of the rifle shows quality, value and care in it's construction... all except for one item... It's outlined in "Things I'd change"...

    Things I would have changed:

So, what would I change? The pistol grip! As well as the rest of the gun is made, the pistol grip positively screeches "Cheap"! When the grip on mine was made the mold didn't close properly. The center edge line was 1/16" or more out of line and some of the edges were VERY sharp. I could easily have been cut. The thing that bugs me about this is those grips had to have been installed by a human being. One who wasn't too concerned about what the buyer thought of his work. Perhaps mine is a fluke, I don't know. This is why I down rated the gun for "value". I paid well in excess of $500.00 for a rifle to deal with small urban pests, and to take a place in the gun safe beside my other "real" guns. My first thought seeing those grips was "toy". Fortunately my first impression was wrong and I took the time to file and sand off the "rough edges" to my satisfaction. In the end I like the gun and I'm glad I bought it.

    What others should know:

I did not complain to Pyramyd Air regarding my gripe with my Talon. I was just impatient enough to air it up and check out how well it shot before deciding what to do with it. (I used a glove over the grip). It shot so well and with such power I decided to keep it and just fix the problem myself. So far my experience with Pyramyd's customer service has been quite satisfactory. One last thing, I'm a member of the American Gunsmith's Guild, so doing my own repair work was just another day at the shop. In other words, "don't try this at home". You'll void your warranty, like I probably did mine...

    Things I liked:

Power and accuracy are phenomenal. I wouldnt have bought my Mendoza RM600 .22 if I had known about this one. Bought this in .177 and am ordering the 24" .22 barrel later. No recoil, you can see the pellet fly through the hit zone in the scope - how cool is that! It's a one-hole puncher @ 10-15 yards, seriously accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

I really wish it had a pressure gauge built in so you could see what operating pressure you're at. Without a chrono you really have to guess, "if I blast through a steel can @ 15 yards, then it "should" kill that squirell, right?". Was a LOT more money than I thought I'd ever spend on an airgun, but I can shoot all day in my yard and not freak out neighbors.

    What others should know:

I've blown through 1250 Crossman Premiers and it never gets dull. I do wish shouldering the rifle were easier - the round tank isn't exactly a face plate, but you get used to it and the pistol grip really aids in stabilizing for shots. You will love this gun, even after you've regretted paying for it, and the pump, and the scuba tank, and pellets, and targets, and.... :)

I would have liked a pressure indicator built into the rifle.

    What others should know:

You will not be dissapointed with this rifle. Mine is .22 cal and it blasted right through 3/4" plywood at 25yds like nothing. That is as far as I've tried it at this time. This is with the 12" barrel. It truly is almost silent. Asside from a slight click like a power stapler. I only hear the pellet hitting the target. If you have got backyard pests. This rifle will quickly and quitely solve your pest problem.

The accuracy-the power- the expandability or ability to wear optional barrels in different calibers. The design takes the guess work out of rifle. Its made here in the US.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing. This thing is great.

    What others should know:

I got mine in .177 ss version on co2- also purchased the manual pump and hpa tank. Shoots Kodiaks fast measured at 30ft from the muzzle with ProChrono pw setting 3 818-840 for over 30 shots. On co2 its pretty cool as well. beeman FTS at the muzzle measured 640down to 585 for over 150 shots. Very accurate on both air and co2.If youre used to the heft and recoil associated with powerful sping air rifles- forget it. Had a real tough time putting it down since the FedEx truck left. The manual pump is great- on you first fill -take your time- you'll get there- it will really fill to 3000psi.-I have a chrono- if you dont be careful the .177 with 12" barrel can deliver some serious energy - even though it is relatively quiet- be mindful of your backstops and traps. For those with the how quiet question - on co2 the ss in .177 is only slightly quieter -than on hpa at a full fill- that is with the pw set between 1.5 and 3 - AirForce makes great guns.

Quiet, dead accurate, easy to load shot after shot, break down ability, shoots all pellets with out a problem, can change calibers in less than 4 mins, many custom parts, extremly light, the price is right

    Things I would have changed:

nothen, anything I suggest would be nit-picking

    What others should know:

I bought my talon ss air rifle a few months after I bought my Sumatra carbine. When I was looking for a second air rifle extreme power for long distance shooting wasn't the key concern anymore. I wanted something that could be shot all day long with out complaints from people in the surrounding area. Another feature I wanted was an air rifle that could be broken down, put into a duffle bag and comfortably fit into my car. The first time I shot the talon ss I was not expecting the power and accuracy it had. The talon allows me to shoot single hole groups that can be covered completely by a nickel at 40-45 yards and groups that can be covered by a quarter at 50-55 yards(jsb exacts and Kodiaks) . As for the power of the talon, before I got the talon my back yard was infested with woodchucks. They were eating everything and tearing up my lawn. The wood chucks liked to hang out in the back of my yard which is any where from 55 to 60 yards away and lay in the sun. It turns out 55-60 yards away is not far enough with the talon ss. Around a month after I got my talon I did not have a wood chuck problem any more. I never had to take a follow up shot because of the talons accuracy and power. I suggest this rifle to anyone who wants a cheaper, quiet, pre-charged air rifle that is under 30 ft lbs (talon ss is roughly 26 ft lbs). The Talon ss is more accurate than my Sumatra carbine and quieter. Don't doubt the power don't doubt the hype this is one great air gun. I forgot to mention that I have recently bought a .25cal barrel for it and a gun that I thought couldn't get any better did. I am around 55-60 ft lbs at the muzzle for now sure to be more soon. I'm sure woodchucks, crows and squirrels are fair game out to 90 yards now maybe further, I can't wait to test it on a walk through the woods in the summer.

The gun automatically goes on safety once you cock it. It is also EXTREMELY accurate, and easily powerful enough to kill squirrels and other small game. It also shoots very flat. Mine is zeroed at 40 yards, and for anything closer I hold the crosshairs right on the target, just like it was 40 yards away.

    Things I would have changed:

Can't say I am displeased with anything.

This SS is a tack driver. .18ctc at 20 yards. using Kodiak's in .20. virtually no drop at 60 yards. Blows clean through Squirrels at this range. Shrouded barrel with end cap does a good job. Much quieter than without end cap. Overall very pleased with performance. Get a kick out of seeing pellet hitting target. Something difficult to do with a magnum Springer!

    Things I would have changed:

Ordered the Talon SS in ...22. Rec'd it in .20. Although it arrived with 4 boxes of Crossman's in .22 you would think this world have been a strong "Red Flag that the wrong gun was being sent. Pyramyd Air did ship some .20's with out shipping charge, but at retail , so I can finally use the gun. Trigger much better than I have been led to believe.

    What others should know:

High mounts definitely a must. Good shot count on fill. Also better than I have heard. A little light in the muzzle. Made barrel weight to fit inside of shroud. Works great. Still wanting a .22 barrel

    Things I would have changed:
