Great gun for my 8yr old son. Really enjoys shooting at the targets that came with the kit! Would recommend buying for a beginner!

I got this airgun for my 10 year old son for Christmas. It's his first BB gun and he loves it. Easy to load and use. Fairy accurate for a pump rifle. Would highly recommend.

Bought 2 of these for my sons and they love them. The quality is good and the finish is very nice. They are easy to pump and light enough they can hold them to aim correctly.

Santa Clause gifted this gun to our 8-year-old boy for Christmas, December 25, 2024. I am his father, a Marine and law enforcement officer. I was a certified weapons instructor during my time in the Marine Corps and wholeheartedly believe in gun safety - and very importantly teaching kids about gun safety as early as possible. We took our boy's "The 1866 Junior - Gold" to the range, set up some paper and metal targets and went to work. The Junior - Gold's safety features and ease of use is top tier. Having a multi step (in this case three step process) ensured my boy follows instructions, develops patience for process all while having fun experiencing the accuracy of his shots. If you could only see the videos and smiles on his face each time he fired his gun hitting his target with spot on accuracy. Even with all of my weapon collection, I enjoy taking turns plinking targets with my son. The father / son bonding time was beyond words. Thank you, Barra, for putting out a safe, reliable and easy to use product (BB gun) for the family to learn and enjoy gun safety, while having family fun shooting competitions in the back yard or at the range! We look forward to adding more Barra's to our collection!

Seems like its going to be just the right size for my 8 year old. He has another air gun but it is spring action and too difficult for him to operate on his own. Looking forward to keeping my son active in the outdoors.

I bought this BB gun for Christmas and I love it. This gun shoots very well every shot hit the target. also the gun is light weight and good for hunting squirrels and birds.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. We have already taken it outside and shot it. I appreciate that it came with safety glasses and has the automatic safety engaged after each shot. We will have a lot of fun together while learning a valuable skill.

I got this BB gun as a gift I love collecting all kinds of airguns. This gun surprised me it is made mostly of plastic. It performs as a high end gun. I have put close to 300 BBs thru it. It is very accurate just as accurate as my other smooth bore BB guns. It is backyard friendly and it looks great!! I look forward to getting more Barra airguns as I can.

To thick for my grandson's hand and the handle where it's cocked is plastic. Easy to break.
