I think the gun is so good because it is sturdy and the lever action is not that heavy. I like the gold color because it shines in the Sun.

One that i don’t like but really isn’t a huge deal is that you need to pump the rifle more then one time to get a real powerful shot.

Got this for my sons Christmas gift and he loves it. Shoots great and looks neat while doing it.

It’s a solid air gun and it’s pretty too. Has the option of shooting BBs or pellets which is nice. It’s easier to pump than a red Ryder which is great for the kids. However there is one downside. The loading/firing process is a little more complicated than a red Ryder, which takes some getting used to, and you must manually load each round which is good and bad, as you know for a fact if a BB is loaded unlike a red Ryder where you occasionally shoot nothing. One last con, it’s very hard to load a single pellet into the feed ramp. However overall I’d call it superior to the daisys red Ryder, just different and well built. The attached photo compares we the 1866 and the ol red Ryder

It's a fun bb gun to shoot cans with, very easy to sight in and load. It isn't a high dollar professional airgun so you get what you pay for. Excellent christmas gift for the kiddos.
