Things I liked:

Great airgun. Great price. Very accurate. Groups of less then a inch at 30 feet inside. Very quiet, the sound of the pellets hitting back stop is louder than the gun.

Things I would have changed:

For the price nothing. I would of liked a better scope, something with adjustable magnification or objective would be nice.

What others should know:

It has more of a kick then I expected but other then that if your interested in a .22 caliber airgun that has power and accurate this is the one for you. It's also lighter then I expected so carrying it for awhile it won't be a problem while hunting tree rats.

Things I liked:

Easy to cock Hits very hard Trigger breaks clean Shroud and baffles hold down the DBs pretty well Price point is good - nearly same as Trail NP2 except for scope and sling

Things I would have changed:

This kicks hard (pellets go random places unless you discover the perfect hold and do it perfectly every time) - if I were doing it again I'd go for PCP Trigger has very long and rough first stage - second stage breaks cleanly though.

What others should know:

The barrel needs A LOT of cleaning. Mine dieseled for about 200 shots - was VERY loud and big cloud of smoke for first 20-50 shots then it got better but even after 2-300 shots still had smoke in barrel after each shot. I've now got about 800 shots through it and I don't see smoke in the barrel after a shot. I cleaned the barrel again and got a lot of black gunk --- it took a lot of patches to get it clean and now the accuracy is much better. But you still have to find a repeatable hold to get any sort of group. I've found the artillery hold doesn't work - you need to grip the stock firmly with offhand (out as far as you can reach) and grip the pistol grip very tightly and pull the butt into your shoulder firmly. Then if you get your body squarely behind the rifle --- you can start to put pellets into a group. The pivot bolt loosens - I had to rough up the edge of the bolt head so the set screw could get a grip to hold the bolt in place once set correctly.

    Things I liked:

A do all air rifle with more than enough punch. Nice swing weight and shouldering .

    Things I would have changed:

Lighter trigger pull and incorporate fixed sights . The scope that came on my rifle is un tenable

    What others should know:

Treat this and any other air gun as you would handle any firearm on the shooting range with respect and safety

NP2 piston is the easiest cocking breakbarrell I have ever used. Don't let that fool you. This is a powerful, accurate, comfortable gun to shoot. This gun is a bad boy. The pistol grip is fantastic.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

If breakbarrells have turned you off in the past, give this Nitro 2 piston a try. Smooth and easy.

Quality of the construction and design of the rifle. Lighter then expected. Cocking effort is smooth as butter. Trigger pull also smooth. Very quiet report.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing at all.

    What others should know:

I read a few reviews on this site for a loose barrel shroud. Yes you should tighten the shroud, it's not supposed to be loose. After cleaning and zeroing in the scope groups of less then 1 inch. Great job on this one.

    Things I liked:

While I am not what you would call a serious airgunner, I do enjoy the my break barrel rifles. This rifle (in .22) at this price point, is an excellent purchase, in my opinion. I purchased mine at Walmart, so I over paid but I'm still extremely satisfied with my purchase. After putting over 1000 rounds through it I find it to be a very accurate gun, and this is coming from a guy with pretty poor eye sight. I live a bit off the beaten path and I purchased it mainly to dispatch varmints harassing my chickens and from my experience it does the job well (raccoons, squirrels, skunks, and younger ground hogs). I was able to dispatch virtually every animal humanly (1 shot) with the exception of adult groundhogs. I find the gun to be well made, surprisingly quiet and very accurate once you figure out the proper hold and best pellet for your particular gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I suppose, as some have mentioned, it could use an improved trigger but not neccesary for plinking and varmint control, imo. I would like some sling swivels/mounts on it. I have never been a fan of 11mm dovetail mounts, a picatinny rail would be nice. Really not much else for this level of rifle.

    What others should know:

Great overall rifle for plinking and dispatching small to medium pests. An overall solid rifle, for the price.

This break barrel is awesome. I like the easy break effort for sure. It's also very accurate. It has good power. Also I really like the noise suppression. You can see it shoot if you search Amateur Air Gunner in YouTube along with an example of pest control. I highly recommend the gun at it's price point.

    Things I would have changed:

    Not much.

    Things I liked:

Smooth cocking. Fired 20 times. Velocity settled after first 10 smokey shots. Second set of 10 CPHP .22 pellets averaged 820 fps, a bit over 21 ft-lb.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull was 6.02 lb. Installed SLT Trigger Kit from eBay. Trigger pull is now a smoother 1.47 lb. Barrel shroud rotates while cocking and adds 5 inches to overall length. Removed the shroud and replaced with Hatsan Air stripper ( reviewed separately ). NP2 loud without shroud. Removed sharp edges from stock with small files. Cleaned dirty bore before firing. Lots of smoke due to grease in compression chamber. After removal of excessive grease; 792 fps, 20 ft-lb and no smoke.

    What others should know:

Potentially excellent air rifle with some work and a better scope.

    Things I liked:

Well made rifle, accurate, very quiet, fairly light, very hard-hitting (.22 cal). This Benjamin Nitro-2 powered rifle is the sleeper in their stable of hunting/target shooting rifles. After cleaning the packing grease out of the bore, the rifle shot increasingly tighter groups at 25 feet. The pellets were penetrating 1/2 inch into the oak firewood backstop yet the rifle's dull shots didn't startle birds feeding at a nearby feeder. At the end of our sighting-in session, we were sending pellets through some of the earlier bull's-eye holes; very impressive accuracy. The factory setting on the 2-stage trigger is extremely slack and needed a long pull to 'fire'. A small screwdriver shortens the pull on the trigger and increases accuracy. A great little squirrel, varmit, target rifle that won't spook game or deafen the shooter. Crosman Premier Ultra Mag domed hunting pellets worked very well. Like they say....This gun is NOT a toy! Please treat it like a firearm.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope...oh, the scope. The crosshairs are not perpendicular - get one vertical and the horizontal hair is off; vise versa. No amount of twisting the scope in the rings would help. It might be my old eyes but the Leupold on my .30'06 is perfect. Oh, well, it works well enough so I'll leave it alone until it fails. The factory trigger setting is extremely long - you can nod off waiting for the shot. Benjamin/Crosman - Please tighten it up during assembly so the buyer isn't snoozing on the firing line. Fortunately, a little slotted screw on the trigger assembly takes up the slack and makes the pull nice & crisp.

    What others should know:

Overall, a nice little pellet rifle for the money. Three thumbs up from a mixed group of shooters who enjoyed its stealthy potential around the farm (groundhogs). No swivels for a sling so I used an old leather shotgun sling with loops on either end. It works! Note: The rifle arrived with the scope and mounts (rings) unattached. The rings were Weaver rings, wrong for this gun. A call to PyramydAir got the ball rolling and the correct rings arrived from Crosman a week later. It was a minor foul up.

Over all look of the rifle, the trigger is good once you adjust it and get used to it. Lot of power. Easy to cock, nice stock pad.

    Things I would have changed:

Better scope if its packaged, maybe the safety position.

    What others should know:

Still working on the right pellet for the rifle. It shoots several generally well but not super accurate. Mine's not thru the break in period. Ive been getting baseball size groups at 25 yards. I think it will or should come down to inch size at 25 yards after the break in and right pellet

    Things I liked:

I had some trouble with the trigger in the long pull. I couldn't tell when I was at the end and the gun would fire. I messed with the trigger adjustment, now It seems better. The gun is fun to shoot, and I feel you need to seat the pellet in the breach deeper, or the pellet just falls out sometimes.

    Things I would have changed:

I'm not TOM, so I'm not qualified for you to ask yet. What's with the spinning baffle on the barrel, shouldn't it be a solid feel???

    Things I liked:

This gun is a great value for the money. Paired with JSB diablo exact 14.3 grain pellets its not unusual to print sub 1 inch groups at 50 yards. There is plenty of power in this gun in my opinion and cocking it is super smooth and surprisingly light. I was pleasantly surprised with the scope and the effectiveness of the suppresser.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is not ideal and takes a little while to get used to. I did have to tighten the screws that hold the barrel after 1,000 shots because the started to loosen but that happens in a lot of guns from what I can tell.

    What others should know:

I have now owned this rifle for a little over a month and have put around 1,100 shots through it. When I first got the gun I shot 250 shots out of it before even mounted the scope. It then took about 50 shots to really find how to shoot it correctly. It is not to picky about what you shoot it from, for example I can get good groups from both shooting sticks and lying prone. Accuracy wise as I said it prints surprisingly good groups and only drops about 5 inches at 50 yards nut after that it start dropping quickly. This is not a light gun and does have a slight kick to it. I had bought a Winchester AO 4X32 scope (not a very expensive scope) from an earlier gun that I had mounted, but the Phoenix killed it after a few hundred shots. I put the scope it came with on and it still works fine. Overall I like this gun and would suggest it to anyone that is willing to put the time in to get used to it.

    Things I liked:

I got this gun 3 days ago. I do not have any complaints. The scope is good the trigger is good. The action of pumping and loading it is good. I am shooting 7.3 grain .177 pellets JSB Jumbo I think. 3/4 inch connected groups at 22 paces. I am 6'2.

    Things I would have changed:

The shroud spins on the barrel. I am not sure why. Maybe it's to prevent torque on the shaft while cocking it. I am used to it now and it doesn't bug me. I started on a Crossman 1077. No kick. Then a Stoeger x20s .22 which was hard to learn. I fiND this benjamin phoenix to be the best gun yet. I wish I could trade the x20s for a .22 phoenix.
