Initial thoughts: Great air rifle. Quality construction. Excellent value.
Things I would have changed:For the price, there is not much to complain about. The stock is a bit too orange for my tastes, almost like a teakwood color, though it is obviously not teak. I would prefer more brown than orange.
What others should know:The Storm XT I just received has aluminum scope rings, with 4 hex bolts on the rear ring, and 2 on the front ring, to clamp around the scope. I can't confirm that these will work better than the plastic rings mentioned in earlier reviews, but they appear to be an improvement. The trigger is also cast steel now, and feels great to me.

The gun is great low cocking effort make it the best. Great if you will use it for small game all though I am not into that.
Things I would have changed:Nothing much but maby lower the price.
What others should know:NOPE except to buy it.

I bought the refurbished XT and I love it. It is a great value for the money, and dang accurate! The wood is in nice shape and the rifle seems to point naturally, at least for me.
Things I would have changed:I would like to see a better trigger on these. I am a very experienced shooter and am used to 3lb trigger pulls on pistols, so this one was somewhat of a disappointment. The trigger on my refurbished Airmaster77 is better! The trigger guard could have been metal instead of plastic. The scope rings leave something to be desired. I have them cranked down as much as I dare, and the scope still moves after shooting a few rounds. I plan on undoing the rings and putting VELCRO in there to see if it helps the movement.
What others should know:Try the RWS assortment pack. For this particular gun, the wadcutter/flatpoint pellets did the best. Not only in RWS but in GAMO & CROSMAN as well.

Very nice air rifle, the wood stock is beautiful, the mechanic appears to be heavy duty and well engineered. I purchased a remanufactured rifle and this one looks brand new and appears to never have been used or abused. I would recommend for plunking or elimination those pesty squirrels...
Things I would have changed:lighten the spring load and more trigger adjustmests...
What others should know:this is not a toy and should not be handed over to young kids without proper training,, dollar for dollar this is an excellent value...

Look, Feel, Heft. The fixed sights are great and the scope is fine in my book. I have had no issues with my scope like some other reviewers. I get very nice groups at the 50yd and less distances I typically plink at. The weight of the gun and recoil are a bit odd when you first start shooting offhand, but once you adapt it's still pretty accurate. From a fixed position this thing shoots great. Consistent, accurate and powerful. I love this gun for the price. Great fun and quality all in one inexpensive package. A definite recommendation for casual shooters.
Things I would have changed:Trigger pull is a bit stiff. Spring recoil is a kind of loud.
What others should know:It really is hard to be disappointed with this kind of price and quality.

This gun is a bargin for any price. extreme power, accuracy, and speed make this the best gun iv'e owned and ever will own. I shot a skunk at 75yds and got a head shot using a crossman premier hollow point pellet. BUY THIS GUN.
Things I would have changed:nothing, a perfect gun
What others should know:This is not a beginners gun. this is for more experienced air gun shooters, and is better when out hunting then target shooting.

This gun has a good price, is well balanced, and the iron sights are very accurate. The scope is very powerful and is great for small game hunting and pest control.
Things I would have changed:The gun was drilled at the top for a scope stop but mine didn't come with a scope stop so i would include that. I would also make it easier to open and a little quieter.
What others should know:The gun might be a little loud for suburban use, when i first opened the gun i could not get the barrel to break open so i had to put it on the edge of a table and hit the barrel very hard until it opened. it is some what hard to open after you first open it but the more you use it the easier it is to use.

well put together and nice finish work, sights are great,if you care to use them
Things I would have changed:not too much a little nicer triger pull maybe, takes some getting use to.
What others should know:really good way to get comfortable with a spring gun without breaking the bank

For the money you can't beat this gun. Decent scope, good accuracy, well balanced. Easy to shoot for long periods of time.
Things I would have changed:Trigger is stiff, tie wrap the return spring to the trigger and it pulls almost as easy as my CDTIII. Scope mounts will not hold the scope, and they slide on the receiver, I ended up buying a Crosman one piece mount that solved the problem.
What others should know:This gun is nearly as accurate as my Gamo CFX. It is made in China, but seems to be built very well. We probably have put about 1,000 rounds through it with no problems at all. A little hard to cock for my 11 year old, but he is getting the hang of it. I would recommend this gun to anyone who wants a low priced air rifle.

I pretty much liked everything, the scope was decent. the acuracy was great. it was everything i expected and it was very under priced because its fps was high for 100 bucks.
Things I would have changed:nothin
What others should know:this isnt just for pros or experienced shooters. im a decent, i have about 5 guns (one broken). i handled it pretty good and if u were just starting out as a shooter u could probobaly handle it. The cocking effort is pretty hard for me. but that is because im like 10. but its a really good gun

Nice wood and metal finish for a rifle under a hundred bucks !! Very light compared to my other springers ( RWS Panther and Ruger Air Hawk ) and I thought this would be just a beater rifle or an experiment one to tear into and try and tune.
Things I would have changed:The scope rings were terrible junk and the phillips screws on them are a waste of time trying to tighten. Also, the pointed stop pin on the rear ring doesn't seat very well into the scope stop hole . I bought a pair of Leapers scope rings and threw those in the trash !! The scope that comes with this package was NOT an adjustable objective and I think the parallax is set to about 35 yards. Nice scope but won't do for accuracy at 10 and 20 yard shooting. I will put the scope on one of my 10/22's and use it for plinking though since the glass is pretty clear.
What others should know:I tried about 10 different pellets and couldn't get any accuracy out of this rifle !! It definitley has some power going over my chrony about 920 fps with 8.2 grain pellets but I couldn't get any better than about a 5 inch group at 20 yards. This rifle ended up selling in my garage sale last week and at least I got a decent scope out of the deal !!

This gun was everything I expected it to be: Wood, Steel - (see 'things I would change'), amazing Accuracy, and whopping power! The first 3-5 shots will be LOUD! After that, the gun steadily gets quieter... Unless you use Crosman Silver Eagle Hollow Points, then the supersonic crack (of the pellet) makes the gun louder than a .22 rimfire. The gun cocks well, (just remember to give the barrel a firm tap, first, ... this knocks the barrel's elbow hinge out so that you can cock it) Also, the scope is awesome, it even has nitrogen gas port to keep the glass from fogging.
Things I would have changed:The trigger guard is plastic. The sights are plastic as well, and can easily be bumped out of place. Also, the scope's screws are very soft metal, and they brake easily. The wood stock is beautiful, but unfortunately it is soft as well, and is easy to dent.
What others should know:If you do your part and take good care of this gun, I'm sure It will you a lifetime. Just remember every now and again to: put a drop of silicone chamber oil into the compression chamber, oil the hinges, and (if you really want to preserve the gun, clean it with ballistol).

Geat looking rifle, reasonable scope, reasonably light. Amazing value for money! A great purchase for an amateur shooter. (such as myself) Good power!
Things I would have changed:I'd Loctite the stock screws and fit a one piece scope mount that grips the scope better. Removable metal iron sights would be nice, however this is a $100 rifle, so can't expect too much.
What others should know:After a few hundrer shots, the rifle settles in nicely. However, you will find that the stock screws and scope mounts keep coming loose - throwing accuracy way off. DO NOT over tighten those stock screws! Loctite them and tighten them snugly - no more, or else you risk cracking the wood.

Great looks, Terrific precision for the buck, Very powerful, Lighter than most rifles.
Things I would have changed:Although decent, and great for recreational shooting/hunting. I would change the scope. It does its job, dont get me wrong, but I think it could be a bit better.
What others should know:For $100 you wont be disappointed. I had this rifle for about 8 months and never looked back. I wouldn't recommend this to a first time air gunner due to its lethality, recoil, and w.e. If your looking to take small game, target practice, or flat out like destroying things this is the gun for you.

it is a lower cost gun,has a hardwood stock, the stock sights are great.the scope is excellent except as noted in the things i would change section.the trigger is excellent even without adjusting. the wieght is real nice.not to heavy, not to light.for the most part id almost say it was perfect.
Things I would have changed:the scope ring screws suck.those little phillips screws come loose as you shot it. if you try to tighten down better they tend to strip the philips head so you cant tighten them any more. if you buy this gun, run to the hardware store and purchase a set of hex screws of the same size.only other thing i dont like is that the barrel doesnt always lock back up.pay attention to this as you sight it in.
What others should know:i think the problem some folks were haveing with the scope is because of the screws they use.very good deal. awesome deal as a matter of fact. i have both, my stock sights and scope sighted in at 10 yards on a dime sized groups.

In my 1200round experience, this rifle shoots 2inch groups at 60yards in the prone postition, mine (after shimming the breach seal "search under blog") shoot around 780-800fps with premier magnums 10.5gr. The barrel can fit the beeman ported muzzle brake. The fiber optic sights are great for hunting. The scope (although great) is better suited for the Remington 77. Very smooth and refined gun.
Things I would have changed:Very picky with pellets. Never use anything under 8gr. Most premiers don't fit the bore. The stock is different color on one side than the other.
What others should know:I used this as a custom gun platform because of the price. I carved the stock, put in chain link checkering, gave it a satin finish. the front sight was a little tricky to get of as it screws on, big improvement from last years model. The beemanported muzzle brake (under "accessories") is the best improvement to this gun. Very low amount of spring twang.

This air gun has a great feal and weight. Rifle requires little care. Works great for rodent control.
Things I would have changed:I would have hallowed out the stock and put a compartment for ammo storage! Made the dot sights changeable. I do not care for the colored sights.
What others should know:Maintain acording to the manual! Great purchase for what ever you have in mind.

I like the power this gun has I am a Hunnter and it is much cheaper to shoot this then my 22 rifle. it even looks like a real gun when I go out with the guys to hunt they ask me what kind of 22 is that. till I tell them the reply I get it WOW just right after I take down a rabbiet with it. The power is very good at 35 yards great job to crosman on this one.
Things I would have changed:Ok not much but they need to do somthing with the scope rings they crep back on the gun. this can be stpoed with a set from this site for about 10.00 this will fix the gun.
What others should know:This is NOT A TOY FOR YOUR KIDS THAT DONT UNDER STAND THE POWER OF IT. it will kill what ever it hits so pleas use the right judment with this one with a 1000PFS it is like a 22 Rifle. I have tasted this out

The price, weight, and accuracy. Not too loud after the first 1000 shots or so. A potent small game rifle used with Crosman hollow points.
Things I would have changed:I would change the fiber optic sights(especially the rear) to metal because the plastic ones that come with it are subject to move even if you rub it up against something. Also, include a one piece scope mount. Everybody knows that with the 2 piece mounts, your scope moves due to the front and back recoil that springers dish out.
What others should know:Not a toy. It wreaks havoc on varmints and small game. I have taken out raccoons, squirrels and rabbits with this rifle. Get yourself a one piece scope mount before your scope gets out of whack.

i like that it is verry accurate didnt like the scope much so i took it off and have been shooting open sights for over a year love how the rear sight is metal mine broke yesterday i took it appart and the lacking mechanism on the spring which holds it back wouldnt work
Things I would have changed:the cost and the area where you put the pellet in at has been rubbing against the inside of the stock
What others should know:i recomend hollow point and pointed pellets for this gun
