    Things I liked:

the price and the accuracy have had several springers from rws to webleys

    Things I would have changed:

not much just not sure if it's shooting 1000fps shooting light weight rws hollow points and it does crack the sound berier. have shot the pba's in it tried those in my 350 mag and they did terrible

    What others should know:

if your looking for an affordable springer that will get the job done get this i am happy with the purchace

    Things I liked:

Very nice design and feel with very easy cocking, shoots nice with allot of power witch i like(POWER!) & very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

A better scope indeed, just bought a new center point 9x40 dual illuminated scope witch should do nicely when i get it. im not very much liking the gamo scope that comes with the gun..... also buy a scope stop since it does not come with one witch it should! because the recoil will push it back overtime witch is a drag....

    What others should know:

when you have a rifle+scope a "LaserLyte" laser bore sight will help you set up your rifle to perfecto! don't go wasting your ammo lining up your scope. and as i said, buy a "scope stop" and a new scope! happy shooting!

    Things I liked:

    weight, look, feel and power.

    Things I would have changed:

I would have rather bought this without the scope and saved 20 bucks, also it would be nice is it had open sights

    What others should know:

The trigger is bad, at first. But after putting over 900 pellets through it, it became much better. the scope is o.k.i guess, but i bought a better one and it made a world of difference when it came to my accuracy. This is my first spring piston air gun and i love it. I took me a while to get used to it and learn how to grip it the right way (and trust me the way you handle it does make a difference). Once i got it right i was getting hole-in-hole shots at 10 yards and dime sized groups at 30 yards. All and all its just a great gun. On to ammo. My Bigcat loves beeman crow-magnums. I tried the crosman premier hollowpoints and found that most of them still had flash on them, and they were very dusty. Some fit to snug, while others didn't fit snug enough. I didn't even try the pba ammo as it can be bad for a spring piston gun to shoot something that is too light. In closing, to people having trouble learning how to shoot this gun, Pyramyd air has great tips in their blog. It helped me a lot.

    Things I liked:

Balanced weight, POWER, accuracy, and just about everything else.

    Things I would have changed:

    Metal trigger guard, better scope.

    What others should know:

Buy this gun planning to spend at least $50 more to buy a better scope. The power is great. I have fired over 4,000 shot and not had a single problem. Very accurate.

    Things I liked:

Design of the rifle makes this gun handle well. feels like I am shooting a real rimfire rifle without all the noise. Trigger pull is good. I like the stock design with cheeck rest. Feels durable and tough for hunting. Accuracy on my gun is starting to come in after about one hundred shots. I just put five group shot in a .750 diameter circle. I am very pleased with my air rifle. for the price how can you go wrong with quality like this.

    Things I would have changed:

I think the one piece mount would be great for this rifle. I might put a larger scope on mine latter. so I can try some long shots. I am shooting 30 meters away right now and as stated above .750 group and the gun is not through the break in period .I know it can group way better.

    What others should know:

Be patient with the scope. Retighten the mount screws after the first 50 or so shots. These are new mounts and the recoil of the gun at first will cause the screws to loosen . once the gun starts to settle down, the screws will not have to be tightened as often. Remember this is a new Gun and these spingers are very powerful . So Its all part of the newness of the powerplant.

    Things I liked:

The Gun is powerful and lightweight. The trigger pull is good for a gun in this price range...as a matter a fact everything about this gun is good in this price range. It is a Gamo so typical Gamo fit and finish apply. I love this springer.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much, I am very pleased with my purchase.

    What others should know:

The scope is garbage but works. Not that I would change that. It is basically to keep the cost down and will do until you can get a better one. Don't let it steer you away form the gun. It is a great gun for beginners and seasoned air gunners. The gun is more accurate than I am at reasonable ranges. Break in takes a few tins so be patient. I would buy this gun again. I am not going to tell you it is better than guns costing many times over, but I will tell you that is is better than anything I have tried in this price range. You will not regret this purchase.

    Things I liked:

This gun is very awsome!! all the people that say the scope sucks is kinda right but it still is awsome. when i first took it out of the box a shot down 14 squirrls and one mature coyote. if you dont believe me than your not a good hunter.

    Things I would have changed:

make a better scope and maybe have a red dot scope.

    Things I liked:

This is a very capable air rifle if getting rid of pesky squirrels is your mission. Is very accurate and easy to handle.

    Things I would have changed:

I would prefer to have the second stage of the trigger adjustable instead of the first. the adjustment only changes the amount of take-up travel before the sear engages, you cannot "lighten" the trigger pull, which if you could, I'm sure it would improve consistency/accuracy.

power, accuracy, over all feel of the rifle

    Things I would have changed:

the scope that came with it is cheap, the barrel is dirty right from the factory get a cleaning kit

    What others should know:

BUY A BETTER SCOPE !!!!!. the first 4 tins of crosman h/p were every where, yealding no better than a 1-2 inch grouping at 30 yards bye the 6th tin it finnaly calmed down and i was able to shoot 1/2-3/4 at 25-30 yards, untill i tried the crosman destroyers, pellet on pellet at 25 yards with the occational flyer off about 1/2 inch bottom line stock scope is junk, long break in period, accurate, and powerfull with the right pellet

This rifle is a great piece.Very powerful and great accuracy.I didn't have any of the scope problems that people are talking about. It was out of the package and sighted in within 25 minutes.Went to the back yard and bagged 9 tree rats the first day. They don't stand a chance anymore.

    Things I would have changed:

    Maybe a adjustable scope

    Things I liked:

The power is without a doubt more than enough to deal with my orange tree raiders, the squirrels better pass the word..... da 'Big Cat 1200' is at the ready. I bagged two within one hour. Haven't seen any more for a week now, I almost miss the little thiefs!

    Things I would have changed:

To aid in aqquiring the target quickly, a red dot scope option for some might be the better way to go!

    What others should know:

It all in the cocking position to ease in priming the power stroke.

    Things I liked:

I like the lightweight feel of my Gamo Big Cat 1200. Also, the synthetic stock. I also think the accuracy is great. Thanks guys for producing such a great gun! With my airgun I can hit a tin can at 40 yds.

    Things I would have changed:

A better scope for long range.

    What others should know:

Don't use cheap pellets. I've had good success with Gamo Hunter pellets. Also, Crow Magnums are good long range, and very powerful.

    Things I liked:

Has a centerfire feel. Accuracy is better than what you'd expect for the price, (With lead pellets.) We've destroyed rabbits at 60-70 yards with ours. I found the included scope just fine for my uses of this rifle. One of those things that you'll be happy you bought it.

    Things I would have changed:

Not really a complaint, but having the scope mounted and boresighted would be a plus. Maybe better instructions on cleaning regimen. Nothing major.

    What others should know:

When using lead pellets, (Daisy, Beeman, Crosman, etc,) outstanding for cheap trigger time. Also, it's just plain fun to shoot when using a rifle this accurate! Great value. PBA ammo is, in my opinion, not worth the money.

    Things I liked:

Dead accurate, adjustable trigger, good weight and feel, scope stop, CHEAP.

    Things I would have changed:

a little noisy, buy a better scope, I got a Leapers, but other than that, nothing.

    What others should know:

If you are into fun plinking at long distances or small game hunting, this rifle will proudly finish any job. The scope stop helps a ton, but make sure to get a better one than the one that comes with it. I was nailing targets from 100+ yards away with this thing. This gun is one of the best pellet rifles available today and it is very dependable. Small game cannot stand up to this thing. Very very powerful. If you buy heavier lead ammo, you will deliver alot more power downrange and this rifle handles it fine.

    Things I liked:

2 stage trigger, the light weight, the accuracy when the scope is sighted righ is amazing, the power.

    Things I would have changed:

put on a better scope. needs a more toutchy trigger.

    What others should know:

this gun is awesome. make sure you lower the horizantal stopping pin into the hole or else the scope will move around and completely screw up your scope stop. my big cat loves the crossman premeir hollowpoints and the crossman hunter pellets. the pba pellets arent very accurate with it, it allways seems like they fly off somewhere. this is a great airgun for the price and i highly recommend it. also make sure you buy gamo pellet gun oil for it. oil all moving parts, before you use it, after you use it, and before you put it away for a while. its also nice to put a drop down the barrel before you use it. you should clean out the barrel every 600 or 750 shots, because the lead buildup inside the barrel dramaticly changes the accuracy. DO NOT dry fire this gun because the piston can slam too hard and mess it up. if you use cleaning pellets in it, make sure you put the cleaning pellet in first, and then a light pellet like the pba to avoid the piston from slamming too hard. this is a very accurate gun, i can hit eggs at 70 yards with it, and i can kill bunnys, squirrels, crows, pigeons, doves, sparrows, and starlings at 50 yards. for a .177 airgun, thats pretty good

    Things I liked:

Extremely powerful, very lightweight, and looks awesome.

    Things I would have changed:

Smoothe out the plastic under the trigger guard. That thing cut me open after about 50 shots.

    What others should know:

I purchased the crosman phantom with the gray barrel and illuminated scope. And to tell you the truth, I was not as impressed with the performance of it like I am with the Big Cat. The crosman looks and feels awesome, but weights a ton, and is nowhere as powerful as the big cat. One thing you might want to know is that it does make this little weird noise when you pump it, but its a small price to pay for high power. It is exactly what all the people say "ITS A SLEEPER". By the way, it is extremely deadly when you combine it with the Beeman Crow Magnums. I took out a raccoon at about 25 yards with one shot. Great job GAMO.

    Things I liked:

AWSOME... the accuracy..... the look of a real gun... the weight....the power. nailing 1/2 inch markers at 35 yards with crosman hollow points(7.9 grain). takes squirrels down with one shot. killed a woodchuck at 30 yards with it in one shot

    Things I would have changed:

well not much of a change its the shooters job.... change the trigger pullage for less poundage for best accuracy.

    What others should know:

it loves to shoot heavier pellets round 7.5 grains and up.

    Things I liked:

The weight. To me there's nothing worse than a light gun. The weight makes it easy to deal with recoil, accuracy, etc. I also just like the look of the gun. I put a bipod on this, changed the trigger, and scope. It looks like a sniper rifle! Great plinking gun. Good fun.

    Things I would have changed:

Definitely change the scope and trigger. Not that there that bad, but if you really want to customize it, you will want to update these. The scope is very wishy-washy. A lot more accurate than people have been saying, but you'll want to spend the extra cash for a nicer one. Same with the trigger.

    What others should know:

My suggestion, get the bipod, new scope, and trigger. You don't have too as this thing is an amazing value for the money. I have to agree with what one of the reviewers said, I think this thing is a sleeper. EXTREMELY powerful! Very accurate if you know what you're doing. I put on a Leapers scope and am considering doing the Gas Spring Conversation for this, as this thing does have a kick to it. I'm just amazed for the price how incredible this thing is. I shot with a friend of mine who purchased the Gamo Whisper Deluxe, and all he wanted to do is shoot mine instead! He loved the weight of the Big Cat 1200. All-in-all, a great gun for the value, with one heck of a punch! You honestly won't believe it!

gunshoots well out of box after cleaning. Will shoot less than 1 inch groups at 25 yds. outdoors and with no wind will shoot 1/2 inch or less.

    Things I would have changed:

put a grt lll trigger on it and deburr all moving parts for better accuracy and performance. parts are not available from gamo usa as gun had no trigger "c' clip from factory

    What others should know:

Put on a good airgunscope i have installed barska 3-12x40 with one piece mount and is very reliable.

    Things I would have changed:

i dont want to change anything

    What others should know:

Oh yea this scope does not need to be ajusted when you swich from pba to lead. also it has no recoil and the trigger pull is great.
