    Things I liked:

CAT trigger is awesome. Quite an improvement over SAT, which wasn't that bad. All screws appear to be well torqued upon delivery. Very solid construction. Powerful, Accurate right out of the box with hooded sight.

    Things I would have changed:

I'm sure there is a reason for designing the scope mount as a dovetail to dovetail "adapter." Maybe regulations in Europe. This feature is a real head-scratcher. I feel the higher price of this air rifle would have been further justified with the inclusion of a dovetail to picatinny adapter. The price was not reasonable. I got a great deal from Pyramid Air but I don't understand how Gamo break barrels have crept above $200 and further.

    What others should know:

You bet it is difficult to cock this thing! Understandable for the amount of power but the design of the thumbhole stock results in some loss of leverage compared to other Gamo air rifles. Getting a good grip on an unshrouded barrel is difficult for a break barrel of this power. Rings on fingers do not improve the situation.

    Things I liked:

Powerful. First word that comes to mind. And light- easy to hold. I bought the 177 caliber, and anything under 7 grains breaks the sound barrier, causing a loud crack noise. But I am penetrating a 2x4 at every shot with the crossman pointed 177 Cal 7 grain. Strongly recommend buying.

    Things I would have changed:

Really nothing. The cocking effort - it's heavy, so it's not for a youth, or entry level shooter. But it's the price you pay for a powerful weapon.

    What others should know:

Not a toy. Heavy cocking effort, but it's a worthy workout. The gun is powerful. Period.

    Things I liked:

This rifle has a lot of power. I have been shooting without the scope at 15 yards and it is accurate. It does take a bit of strength to cock but after about 40 rounds you get used to it.

    Things I would have changed:

I prefer a picatinny rail rather than the dovetail scope mount.

    Things I liked:

I'm not using a scope the sights only. It is phenomenonal wright out of the box. The weight, balance and workmanship is superb. I own the .22 model and it is a tack driver with minimal recoil.

    Things I would have changed:

Cocking the break barrel is very hard to pressurize I need two hands to comfortabley cock the rifle, but as I'm breaking it in it seems to become easier.

    What others should know:

    Superb product!

    Things I liked:

After 100 shots, this is updated review; powerful, very accurate so far 1 in group at 60 yards from bench 10 shots 4 almost dead center, I'm 68 so my finger pull may impead accuracy, little quieter now, scope is good for this gun, very clear, even on misty day. No doubt this will put down a fox, definitely squirrels and birds. I hesitate to kill any more, mostly target use only. Plan on maby going pro air gun shooter ( amateure) So another gun in future. Thanks for reading. Happy shooting.

    Things I would have changed:

    No sight option, maby lighter.

    What others should know:

Use caution this gun very powerful, use solid backstop, know bullets path.

    Things I liked:

Very, powerful, my first air gun, louder than 22 long rifle, cheaper to shoot, scope, satisfied with it, but must focus at different zoom levels. Did I mention powerful? Sighting in lead pellet broke 1 in thick rock when missed target at 50 ft. Haven't tried on squirrels yet, but there hiding now, scared.i guess.

    Things I would have changed:

Eliminate sights, can see thru scope, buy you'll be happy

    What others should know:

Not for the timid or week, 40lbs cocking force. Treat as a real gun. Follow all safety guidelines. Powerful gun

    Things I liked:

The Gamo Magnum is new for 2016 and has a basic design I love. Powered by the IGT Mach 1 cylinder, the Magnum boosts the velocity and energy behind 22 pellets upward to near 25 caliber performance levels. The mega-power of the Magnum's new oversize gas cylinder is well contained within a beefier synthetic stock that helps control dampened felt recoil while directing an increased volume of air to propel pellets at record high speeds out the muzzle. Overall, Gamo shows a generous amount of innovation demonstrated by their products and I would think every air gun enthusiast has found an appreciation for at least one item wearing the Gamo brand. For me, the Magnum is yet one more excellent Gamo product that serves good purpose in my collection where one good shot does the job.

    Things I would have changed:

With all the power exhibited by the Mach 1 piston, it should be suitable for use with a wider range of calibers and boost their abilities as well. I have to wonder why the Magnum is not already available in larger calibers, starting at 25.

    What others should know:

There is a price to pay for all that unleashed power from the Magnum, and that is the effort necessary to break open the barrel just to load it with a pellet. The claims about this in other reviews are definitely not exaggerations. Cranking 51 pounds to open the barrel is fun for only a few muscular diehards during extended use, and that should be a serious consideration before purchasing this Magnum. It solely intends to gain the most velocity from the standard plinking calibers using an oversize power cylinder, which BTW is already adequately attained in rifles chambered for 25 caliber and up. And the reason why so many of the older classics still retain a rather strong following is because of their simplicity in operation and appearance, can be depended on for years of service, and have a reputation for accuracy, which is of course, what most shooters prefer.

    Things I liked:

This gun is both extremely powerful and accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is one of the best Gamo scopes that I've ever used, But I still recommend changing it.

    What others should know:

Even thought it doesn't have the silencer on it, it is still pretty quiet.

    Things I liked:

It is very light, it is very powerful. It is high quality and very good for hunting and target shooting. The warranty is worth the money. The fiber optic sights are very accurate. It comes with a scope but I haven't mounted it yet. I expect the scope to be just like the gun, high quality. If give this gun a 4.5/5 stars. Their is the value for the money

    Things I would have changed:

Easier cocking and a more quiet when fired.

    What others should know:

The first couple cocks right out of the box is EXTREMELY hard to cock. When shot it is very very loud. If you have old neighbors or people that get mad this may not be the best gun. If your weak or younger this will be very hard to cock.

    Things I liked:

This rifle is just short of incredible. It is a bit hard to cock, definatly not designed for children in mind but for adults it is awesome. My only problem with this beautiful rifle is that I scare my neighbors. they think I'm using a real firearm when I am target shooting in my back yard. I have sighted it in on 3 different types of ammo, copper extreme velocity, pba, and piranha hollow point. once each type I sight at 35 yards, they stay on target. I can easily shoot quarter size groups or smaller and that is just perching the muzzle on a chair. In other words it's worth every penny. thank you for allowing me to share my experience with you.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe try to make it a little easier to cock and maybe using a little better scope because this beast has range with deadly force. This is not a beginner rifle for a minor. They would be better off starting with the 177 gamo. Its just as reliable and much easier to cock. I should know, I have them both. thank you, I hope that some of my input will help some of your readers make a good decision.

    Things I liked:

I purchased the .22 cal. and the over-all quality of the build is excellent! I own close to 100 airguns and consider myself somewhat of an expert. I specifically own 5 Gamo rifles. The finish (Bluing) on the Magnum is excellent. The CAT trigger is Gamo's best and it can be fine tuned with a simple change of the sear screw. I have all my triggers breaking just less than 2 lbs. The open sights are outstanding and the scope, 3-9x40 (30-30) AO, is one of the better scopes for package deal.

    Things I would have changed:

I am 6'-1" 210lbs and work out. I would consider myself way above average when it comes to strength. This is by far one of the toughest cocking efforts of all the break barrels. My Hatsan 30 cal. break-barrel is no more difficult to cock than this. Keeping that in mind I shot over 200 pellets through it right out of the box. This gun is not for the weak. I would shroud the barrel similar to the other GAMO rifles. It would provide a much better grip, then just the steel barrel, when cocking the gun.

    What others should know:

The gun actually comes with a one-piece scope mount, not the single mounts that are displayed in the photos. GAMO again exaggerated on their FPS claim. I chrono'd the Magnum with 12.65 gr H&N HP 1002 FPS, the RWS 14.2 gr HP 916.9 FPS, the Gamo 10.85 gr PBA 1094 FPS. So the 1300 FPS is a pipe dream. That being said it is still a very powerful rifle and produces 26.51 FPE. I tested 6 different pellet weights, brands and styles and I found the most accurate pellet (which coincidently works best in all my .22 call Gamo rifles) is the RWS 14.2 gr HP. Right out of the box I shot nickel size group at 20 yards. I expect the accuracy to get better with a further break-in period and a barrel cleaning, if so the accuracy rating should be elevated to 5 stars. This is a man's gun not built for the weak. The power of this gun matches if not exceeds, my RWS 48 and my Remington Thunderceptor. I got a terrific deal on this at Pyramyd and pre-ordered it. Outstanding for hunting, right out of the box!

    Things I liked:

Received my Magnum 3 days ago and it has blown my mind! First off the gun is balanced very well, super easy to shoot from standing position. I really don't like synthetic stocks, but this one is has grown on me quick, it feels good and the rubber grips aren't to aggressive. Buttstock is very nice, it has removable pieces to help with kick if needed. Trigger is amazing, wish i had this trigger on some of my firearms!! scope is a nice surprise, a lot better than I expected, iron sights as well. okay, shooting this rifle is a workout. the cocking effort is HIGH, I'm 6'4" 270 and its a workout to shoot but so worth it. This gun is so accurate with alloy or lead. Ive put about 300 rounds through it so far including PBA Platinum, Crossman Premier HP, and Crossman Piranha and accuracy is amazing. Not lying, penny groups with each at 30 yards, still can't believe how powerful and accurate this rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

This gun is LOUD!!!! Really, if noise is an issue, you don't want this rifle.

    What others should know:

I'm from KY, so i was born with a gun. I bought this to knock off pest in my garden. I've had a couple break barrels like the Trail NP and Titan NP, gave them to family for pest control in their gardens. I will never get rid of this rifle, it is amazing so far. I will say be careful with the PBA platinum ammo out of this rifle. It went through a two foot thick broadhead arrow target and stuck into a barn 10 yards further. Amazing!!!
